Great new building! Much more open and inviting than the old one. My kids love visiting and checking out books as well as the programs they have. The self check out option is awesome and hassle free.

Great staff, book selection, and facility. One of the most beautiful libraries I've visited (and I've visited many while traveling across the country).

It's a nice post tornado library people be grateful wonderful place but Covid ruined everything library people rude to the patrons before covid now who cares it's over wish fatt lady would just sing already

Everyone there is patient,hopeful, kind, and down to earth.If you need anything, the Staff will go out of their way to help you.

We applied online for our boys cards, the wife went in today to get them. The lady there told us because we live outside of the city limits we had to pay $50 for a family card. My wife asked about discounted or free Joplin public school student cards and the lady insisted we had to pay the $50.
Upon reading the information here on the website it clearly states student cards are $10...
Very disappointed the staff is not familiar with their own policies! Thanks for deigning our boys the right to use your services, and feel this was done with discrimination based decision on behalf of our legally disabled son....

The children's librarian was so nice and greeted us so kindly! She was very eager to look up a book for us AND go help us find it!!! The perfect librarian and customer service liaison!!! Made our experience delightful and we will be back because of that. And they have lots of great books and a cool and quick checkout sysyem.
