I sent in a cancellation for my gym membership on ...

I sent in a cancellation for my gym membership on January 6, 2020. I followed all instructions and used certified mail as required. I was able to confirm over the phone with someone at the Webster office that my cancellation had been received. Now, almost two months later, I am still being billed. I have disputed the charge with my bank. This company is terrible.

The staff at Jonas Fitness acted quickly to resolve an issue associated with my military son's fitness account. They contacted my son and told him they resolved the issue and then refunded money he should not have been billed. I am so thankful to Jonas Fitness' staff for resolving this issue so rapidly.

This company gives support to Fitness Connection Gym's so a Review of them is relevant here.

Personal information in Fitness Connection gyms are not secured! Any employee can pull them out and do whatever they please with it. Name, Address, Phone Number, Email and even Bank Accounts/Card Information.

If this Company Jonas Fitness is a Managing service operator for Fitness Connection then their not doing enough to safeguard their user/customers.

My account was fraudulently re-opened by someone in the Gym, No one has access to accounts other than employees, so I am assuming it was an employee. It was brought to my attention that my account was re-opened because they call me to collect a balance. Someone had utilize my information that was in the system and inputed someone's bank account/Credit card and had utilize it for more than a year and half.

The way they keep control of members is with a picture, right?
Well someone had been going to the gym, and had been granted access with my picture as their ID.

How was this allowed for more than a year!

This just proves that the information Jonas Fitness/Fitness Connection have is not safeguarded properly. Anyone can freely access it. If it happen to me, How many more cases like mine are out there?

Who ever is responsible of keeping information private and safely, please do something about it.

And YOU Gym member, keep an eye on the information you provide, as their is no guarantee it's safe with them.

Called this company to cancel a gym membership...their incompetent customer service representative accidentally charged a couple hundred dollars more than the $30 cost it was to cancel...right before I flew out for New Years vacation. All I got was an apology for their error, the refund wouldn t get back for another 2/3 business days....after I get back from my vacation. AWESOME 10/10 recommend.

So this place decided to close for TWO months because of inclement weather meanwhile I've been sending in letters to try to cancel my Fitness Connection Membership since the December of 2015. It's not over 4 months and yet they still withdraw money from my bank account every single month. This place doesn't know how to do business at all. Every time I call in, I either get a busy line or the office is closed at 1:00 P.M. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL.

I don't know how a league of scammers have a corporation like this! Like I was told, I sent a letter in twice and still they charged me! I called them, they just put me on hold! Thanks to them I had to close my bank account! This address is bogos! Everything about this company and everyone in it is fake! Be ready for lawyers and the news!

"Customer Service" is non-existant. Complicated cancel process requiring certified mail? Instructions for cancel are not available online they make you call and listen to a long drawn out voicemail message. It's 2019 we havent progressed past this? Less than a month after joining was double billed. Seems my experience is on par with others. Spend the extra $10 a month and use a better corporate owned gym not this franchised junk.

Brother have been charged for 4 years double membe...

Brother have been charged for 4 years double membership fees from Jonas Fitness in the amount of $43.++ and have NEVER signed up for their services.. my brother doesn't even live in TX... we will be seeking help in full recovery of this theft from our account. The process to look into these matters with Jonas Fitness and Fitness Connection is so cumbersome and no one cares to help. This is not the end of this conversation.
