Jolly Rogers Grub & Grog Restaurant Review

Great location, food, drink, service, & experience. Joe & Christine do an outstanding job providing us a great time while out on the water.

Ate there with friends this evening. Great family place and good menu variety. Had their pirate beef nachos for dinner (it's listed under appetizers) and split it with my husband. Enormous serving - way more than we could eat. Pretty good but the beef was very anemic looking and they apparently use real cheese, because towards the bottom of the plate, the chips were swimming in grease (didn't eat the bottom layer). Our friends ordered two different kinds of tacos, one had pulled pork and one had fish. Each person was served 3 large tacos stuffed full! Both parties liked them but couldn't eat all of them. My husband and I each had one beer (Michelob Ultra and Summer Shandy) and were very surprised to find that they were $5.50 each! (Ugh) All in all a good option for lake eating with good service and great atmosphere.

Sunday breakfast is very good and very expensive, approximately $25 per person.

Easily had the best bean/veggie burger of my life here. The onion rings we fantastic as well but perhaps could have been a hint crispier. The kettle chips that came with my entree were seasoned perfectly as well. The staff was very friendly and it's clear they liked where they were working. S/o to the bird

Good breakfast! $22 adult $14 5yr n older buffet only! Top notch but pricey for the little kiddos.

Great atmosphere, good food and good service. A bit pricey but hey your on the water with great views. The tomato board is incredible and so are the Bon Secor oysters. Better than average wine selection and tons of beer on tap.

Good service. Our first time eating there this morning. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

Was alright for grownups, but really not that kid friendly. Food was OK but prices were some of the higher ones around. Place had a dated feel to it, dusty & a bit dingy.

We had a great breakfast and a couple of tastee bloody mary's. Staff was awesome

Best brunch buffet I've ever had. You've got to get the Eggs Benedict and the French Toast. Amazing! The bottomless mimosas were great. Totally worth the money as long as you come hungry.

Great place. My son, girlfriend and I purchased a trip on the pirate ship excursion. We arrived a little behind schedule because I read the address wrong. we tried getting seated for food but unfortunately they where extremely busy (FOURTH OF JULY) the girl told us if we go to the bar we can just order from the bar. We wondered around the bar but it was full. The manager came up probably noticing we looked lost and in a panic asking if he could help with anything we told him that we are behind and needed food before we left for the cruise he told us no problem give him a minute. He found a table right away got it cleared everything went smooth. The food is a little expensive but it was great.
Highly recommended one of the excursions it was two and a half hours on the water and you can byob.

Loved this place. Kinda hard to find by land. I imagine it's easier by boat. The live parrot behind the bar was a special touch. Great live music often. Fun atmosphere. Amazing breakfast/lunch buffet on Sundays.

Always a good time at Jolly Rogers. Great atmosphere, awesome food, especially their breakfast! Drinks are good and their staff is always accommodating and friendly. The live commentary while you're on line for the breakfast buffet is a hoot. They're also very family friendly. If you haven't been there, you must go!!

I really love this place, prices have seemed to increase some over time, but that is how it goes.

They do have great drinks.

Regular visitor here. Excellent food and great prices. clean and a very happy place.

The food is great and their staff is friendly and fun. The only thing I am not a fan of is that they allow dogs. However, the dogs that are always there are extremely well behaved.

We held an Outerlimits Offshore Powerboat Breakfast here. The owners Christie and Joe of Jolly Rogers were wonderful. Their staff worked hard and they were all very professional and gave everyone the best service. Thank you!

Excellent food, great atmosphere, superb service and somewhere I couldn't go without all summer- My all time favorite Restaurant and staff at the lake. You really feel like family from the moment you walk in the door and that says something:) thank you a Jolly Rogers ! Can't wait to see the up and coming additions next year!

The food was good, especially the spicy shrimp appetizer. There was a nice play area for kids as well. A great place to stop on the lake.

Great buffet style breakfast. We loved the fresh cinnamon swirl pancakes!

The Pirate ship expedition was a lot of fun. Then on our return the lunch was very good. Need to go on the trip especially if have young kids or even go for just the good food and fun service / atmosphere!

Love the remodel of playground and arcade area for kids, as well as expansion on tours side. Best weekend brunch you will find on the lake.

Went here for my birthday while staying at a local campground. The drive in is on a curvy dirt road but it is worth the trip. Parking can be a challenge and you may have to park down the road. The dining room is two levels, downstairs is a patio and up is a large room all open on the river side, so the views are great. The bar is made out a boat and your drink may be served by the Pirate Captain. The food was delicious. The deep-fried cheese curds were awesome, the burger was moist and I never eat a whole burger but did this time. The homemade chip were perfect. Not the best craft beer selection but a few good choices. We had a mini brownie cookie and it was the only disappointing thing we had - the cast iron pan is so hot that the cookie was a melted mess - might want to pass on that.

The JR is a must any time we are at the Lake. Always great food, great service, and a great time

Awesome place to boat in to eat. We've been here a few times now and they have always done very well for us. They have dock hands to help you tie off and a great staff.

When we eat out with an infant it can go one of two ways. Good or bad. Well as soon as we walked up the steps the owner came up to me with my 3 month old in my arms and asked if I wanted him to bring out a pack and play for the baby while we ate. The customer service alone would make me come back but the food was just as amazing.

We finally ventured out to Jolly Rogers and it was well worth the drive! The playground and arcade is amazing for the kids (ages 6,4&3). They really liked the real parrot. The bloody Mary s were delish for us adults too. The atmosphere perfect. We will definitely be going back.

We had dinner at Jolly's Friday night and the food and the service was simply amazing.. had the chicken firecracker rap and it was delicious filled with chicken.. went back Saturday night and had a chicken bacon ranch wrap.
One side of my rap had a little sliver of chicken. Service was kind of slow but they were pretty busy. When I complained about my chicken wrap and the sliver of chicken then I had on it he only took off half price because I ate the other half. But then it goes back to if you had more girls and faster service I could have complained faster. It's all right I'm a local and I'll make sure that I do not take my company back to Jolly's.
Moral of the story I do not recommend Jolly Rogers! Boathouse is right down the road.

This place "Gets it". Hire good staff who are attentive and engaging, they have a cool venue and awesome food. Oh, live bands too? What more could you want?
