We found it pleasantly comfortable and will be back

Good location close to all metro station services ...

Good location close to all metro station services such as the republicca 2 stops from the duomo. Nearby streets with a party atmosphere and good restaurants. The girl at the reception is very friendly and most speak Spanish. My girl was congratulated on her birthday. All correct price, location and infrastructure. Breakfast is a bit lazy but has everything you need.

Grateful to the staff.

Extremely tidy and modern hotel almost at the center of Milan. My room was on the side of the street where the tram line goes and it was a bit noisy but I could still sleep. I would suggest a room from the other side of the hotel if you are irritated about traffic noise. Anyways the hotel staff was very polite and helpful.

We are a young couple (+dog) on tour for a combined work & leisure period in Milano. We ve stayed in the NH Machiavelli hotel for six weeks (october till december).

Well, then one get to know how good (or bad) a hotel is run. And we can confirm: by far the best (NH) hotel experience we ever had.

And believe me, we ve seen a lot of hotels insideout.

To cut a long story short- from arrival throughout staying and departure; it was smooth, friendly and warm. No complaints whatsoever. But if we had an issue; it was solved quickly and professional.

After this experience there is nothing that keeps us away from booking again. Thanks for making our stay as if we were (back) home.

Extended review:

What is important for us and was provided in this hotel? Clean, quiet and spacious rooms; good beds; enough supplies; a warm atmosphere; close to a supermarket; within walking distance to the city (20minutes) or public transport (1 minute); luxury; big breakfast buffet with at least lots of fresh fruit (Kiwi s, Ananas and Oranges, etc.) and plenty to choose from.

The frontdesk run by Carmen, Roberta, Giada, Antonio & Rocco plus all the friendly ladies.
Antonio became our assistant in everything. The housekeeping ladies were every day on their best. (Thanks for keeping our room clean every day during our stay).
The executive Chef Eduard and his kitchen staff are working hours every day their butts off to get a broad fresh breakfast buffet and evening diner.

The personell running breakfast: Roberta, Rosario, Giovanni, Gilda such an amazing team.
Special thanks to Gem for being so friendly in cutting our four kiwi s and take care of everything.
Tip: Get yourself a capuccinno made by Tarun; he is a Latte-art artist and makes the best capuccinno from their entire team (sorry!)

Roomtip: if you are a light sleeper and like to sleep with an open window, avoid a room on the frontside.
The trams in Milano sounds terrible while driving over the rails. And the avarage car driver will honk his car horn every minute.

Further, the airconditioning in the hotel is shut-off after october by law. (We prefer an AC-cool room of 19 degrees). Open up the window when you are gone during the day. And in these days it s quickly cold enough inside. If the room gets too cold; heating is modern, sufficient and swiftly warm.

One complaint though: please change your background music in the lobby every once in a while. We know the cover song tape now from A to Z and backwards. ;-) perhaps an internet radio with mixed music styles?

Last but not least, the general manager Davide is visible every day. During breakfast or late night diner. He is there. A good sign.

Good hotel, I was a guest for three days for work reasons, I found myself very well. Excellent breakfast and one evening I stayed for dinner at the restaurant, which is in any case noteworthy

My negative opinion refers to the reservation that...

My negative opinion refers to the reservation that I made through the reference number with the prefix 06. The receptionist proposed me a solution for a single starting from about 170 euros. Only when I objected to having seen a solution on the internet for about 20 euros less, did he point out that it was only possible in prepayment. I accepted and received a confirmation email, in which there were some blanks also related to the billing data. Therefore, as part of the same phone call, I asked to be able to communicate a VAT number and a unique code, but the receptionist replied, even with a certain frown, that I should have communicated the aforementioned data directly to the hotel. At the hotel, however, I was told that I should have communicated them when booking. In short, I cannot download the cost of the hotel because I have not received the invoice and the information received is conflicting.
Since I will have to return to your hotel several times, is it possible to know for certain what I have to do to receive my invoice?

Despite the high rating, in my last stay I noticed something negative.
The welcome gift was missing in the room.
Small and very uncomfortable pillows.
There was no bathrobe in the room.
Friendly staff, good breakfast, top cleanliness, great location!

I have stayed in this one and the one across street. At first I thought ibis's superior single is better but NH has more attention to detail such as the breakfast. Ibis's is nowhere near as good as NH and NH offers sleeper in room which is rare in European hotels.

The stars are an average between 3 that deserves the hotel (rooms not exactly new, night noise by both the classic Milanese traffic both from the annoying noise produced by metal parts of the facade that the setting of the sun begin to cool down and then emit classic "bursts" mettalici) and 5 that deserves the kitchen of the restaurant (really good food and maybe even too abundant).

However, it is a boring hotel (nothing to do) and very, very lousy WiFi and Internet speed (even opening emails takes ages).

Great breakfast. Comfortable and spacious rooms. The only issue is that there are no irons that can be brought to the rooms. A real pain if you are a business traveller - you have to go to the reception, get a key to the iron room and iron it on the LG! And the rooms have no tea or coffee making facilities. Not sure why.

Fantastic hotel about 20 minutes walk from the duomo. Spacious, comfortable and quiet room. Breakfast very good. Attentive staff It is not cheap, but given the prices of the city, I can not rate it as expensive (especially in relation to its quality).

The hotel is clean typical NH hotel. Free breakfast is a big plus. Unfortunately it does not compensate lack of sleep. The windows are not sound proof and the tram (quite old and loud) goes under the windows whole night. I'm never coming back there.

Great hotel which a 4 star hotel in the best city center location is fair. But the traffic is easy to hear with the windows closed. Everything else very friendly and clean. This will be a great shopping weekend and last night in Szczecin at the NH Hotel was great too. Wish everyone a nice 2nd Advent.

From the moment I checked in I had the opportunity to see the quality of the structure and the services it has. The room is emblematic of the cleanliness that this chain offers. Certainly breakfast is the highlight of the stay.

Professional and very kind staff. Rooms of a good standard, well equipped, very comfortable and with a lot of attention dedicated to the guest. All services offered by the hotel are clearly illustrated and explained in the information material in the room. The only problem is the broken bar fridge. Excellent breakfast, very varied and with quality products. Very convenient location, about 10 minutes walk from Milan central station and 10 minutes walk from Porta Venezia.
