Always there to help when in need and give good information

If you are in need you better not be white, and don't expect to get the help you seek. On the other hand, the employees attempt to get a decent outcome for you, but the fact remains if you aren't an illegal immigrants or a person of color, or a single female parent, you won't be getting any type of assistance.

You have to call repeatedly to get results. They never, ever return calls

Three stars for the worker that I got I spent all day and got nothing done best time to go is about 8 am some of the workers r great to work with but with most employees they r over worked and under paid so can't blame their attitudes

Too long of a wait and the employees deal with too much on a daily basis to care !

The lady in the crisis department was very rude to me. (D Balance) was her name. She acted like she was better than me an she acted as if she hated her job an kept telling me she wasn't gonna pay my bill...."like the funds that help ppl were actually coming out her pocket" I hope I never have to have assistance again BC I will not go there. The place up the Rd Lee Johnson an harrnett services called community action were very polite to me. They actually care about ppl and don't judge them. Folks need to learn there is only one judge an it's my heavenly Father up above!!! Everyone in both of them buildings are very self centered an rude. I suggest if you need assistance of any kind don't go there ...Go to community action. Johnson Co crisis center was terrible !!!

Mrs Browning was the best social worker since I've moved to NC. She was very respectful, friendly, and prompt about handling my case. Unfortunately ive moved to Sanford NC and it is the worst here.

They are quick to tear your family apart even when false accusations are being made by a bitter, petty BM but super slow to get you the info you need to get your family back together. I m beyond frustrated with these people!! They don t care about the safety of children they are just out to destroy families. The children that really need to be saved are still out here getting abused and neglected but the children that are in good hands and WELL taken care of being torn apart from their family. If they actually done there job maybe their wouldn t be children dying everyday from abuse. They need to get it together!!!

Service is slow and they take your kids for harassing phone calls

When to apply food for my grandchildren, was denied because they are getting food stamps in Virginia and my daughter will not cut them off. I've had the children since I September and I'm on disability. My friends, church is trying to help. Bills are going up which make it hard for me.

Unprofessional staff, unsafe environment. It's always crowded and disgusting inside the waiting area.

Terrible long wait for EVERYTHING! The staff treat you like a beggar and like everyone is trying to cheat the system. You definitely get the feeling that you are inferior in this place when they should be wanting to help those in need. That's the job they chose, we didn't.

The lines move quickly and you don't have to wait as long.

I have had many experiences with social services and each one has been different but the majority of my visits have been pleasant those times the employees were helpful friendly and didn't make me feel less of a parent. But like I said not all visits were of this caliber.

I wasn't impressed, the workers I came across were young and inexperienced but very self-rightous. I grew up as a ward of the state and when trying to use the same methods the state used on me on my kids. I was wrong, not abusive but always wrong.

Unprofessional people! Sad that you have to be in need but to have folks look at you and act like it's them that's doing you a favor. Hey I'm a citizen and pay taxes .

Child and protective services dont do there job.. they don't care if your kids don't have no bruises on them they will take the kids from you .. lf u are black and have if a problem the supervisor will ignore u

Dss of Johnston County has some employees that are really rude.... Starting from the ones in front desk, dont know how to talk to people. Y'all need to learn from Lillington S.S.

Ok but very crowded,long wait between clients,but helpful.

Very helpful staff. The reception desk rearrangement made the waiting area larger. Still quite a long wait to be called nack to office by staff but there is tv, some magazines & a drink machine while you wait.

Good service. Only 30 mins to get out. Normally it takes hours

Miss leading about renbersment of T S P costs to provide the child with Care while placed in the home for his own safety

I just wrote a scathing review of this department and it's personnel, including the tyrant investigator that lacks the intelligence to use proper english and write (speak) in complete sentences, and it was somehow deleted.
I will edit this review again using the same information I send to the states Attorney General and any other persons that will lend an ear.
Traveling to another state to abduct a family member seems a bit beyond the scope of the authority of the Johnston County DHHS.

Life has been hell with DSS. My nephew had fought tooth and nail for his kids, but has continuously been forced to jump threw unreasonable hoops. With that said, I fully support DSS due to the fact that the majority of their cases are horrific and they are forced to treat all cases the same. It is the fault of the lousy parents that make the good ones suffer.

DSS worker Sorma Garvoye is a black supremacist. She is very racist. She is also stupid and uneductated. She made a scene because I touched an apple on her desk. For 5 minutes she ranted about how she could no longer eat it because I touched it. I finally realized it was white skin that disgusted her.She is a freak. She perjured herself in court. I did everything they asked and they kept on raising the ante. She said meetings with my daughter did not go well because of me, when the last meeting with my daughter (who has Asperger's), it was my daughter who flew in a rage. I also brought Mad Magazine and Fangoria to each of these supervised visits because my daughter has a subscription. EVERY single meeting she looked at the magazines to make sure they were "appropriate", at the last meeting my daughter go impatient and threw them at her saying by now she should know what they were. I court Sorma Garvoye said I was inappropriate. She is monstrous.

Good services and staff usually. Some difficult staff. Long waits at times.

My case worker, Mrs. Browning, was helpful and personable. I was treated fairly and kindly. No bad attitudes to speak of, which isnt something I'm used to from a public service. My overall experience was good. Plus, even though I came later in the afternoon, I hardly had to wait. Child friendly. The 4 stars is for my overall experience that included phone communication, but my in-person experience on all occasions is 5 stars.

Friendly reception and prompt assistance. My caseworker has been available to provide me with documents on the day I requested them. Staff are very interested in making sure you get benefits you qualify for, and are great at explaining why you might qualify for some and not others.

I don't think that a person working at the front desk should be rolling her eyes to people walking in the door and constantly gossiping and not doing her job... Feel like this place is very unoranganize and could use better management! Not good service

I love my case worker Mrs. Renfrow she's the absolute best at her job as work first lead worker .. Every other department is awesome as well but I've gotten close to Mrs Renfrew!!

Very old building, smells, dirty. People weren't very helpful

They either don't listen or don't care. Only got my benefits after about 10 phone calls to Ms. Debra to correct the wrong info our incompetent caseworker (not Debra) put in my file. The only person who was excellent at her job is Debra Martinez. Thanks Ms. Debra
