For reference, my first experience with Johns Transmissions was in 2003 and this was the 4th transmission I have had John rebuild for me for various vehicles. Each time the work was flawless and fair until my latest experience.
Paid to have the transmission in my Silverado 1500 rebuilt for just over $3,000... Within a month of having the truck back with the fresh rebuild, the transmission had a catastrophic failure requiring the truck to be towed back to Johns. No big deal, mistakes happen right? Except this happened THREE more times! Never even making it back to Englewood, four times if you include the time John called to say it's fixed and it wouldn't go into gear to make it out of his parking lot... After the final rebuild, much frustration, a couple hundred bucks in tow fees, a new radiator I had to pay for because one of the repeated failures supposedly ruined the transmission cooler inside of it, more frustration and loss of use of my truck for over a month total, the transmission worked great until it went out again a little over 20,000 miles later. Barbic's transmission in Sarasota got my business this time and it's been working great

John is a genius when it comes to transmissions. But he is also an honest, straight shooting business person. We had an issue with a radiator leak after he worked on our transmission, and he replaced the radiator without hesitation. Nobody is perfect and things happen, but he made it right. I hope I never have to get transmission work done again, but if I do, he's the guy.

I took my 2008 Nissan Altima down to have it looked at John topped off my fluid and would not accept any money he referred me to another business so they could help me out. It's nice to finally go to a business and speak with someone with integrity and honor who is not in the business taking advantage of people in need of help. I would recommend John's Transmissions to anyone who wants an honest and fantastic personal service.

I called John s Transmissions; spoke with John about my 2005 F150 regarding Transmission slippage in early mornings/check engine light coming on/Overdrive light blinking.
He informed me during initials call, that worst case scenario, the transmission may be about to shutdown; may need to be totally rebuilt, which would cost a couple thousand dollars, plus.
I took it in that day; he had it up, running and repaired by the next afternoon.
Total cost, 2,000.00 plus dollars LESS
Than what it could have been.....

Took my 2005 RAM in because we were told our transmission needed service. We were referred to John and he said 'Most people who think it's the transmission are wrong'. He referred us to another shop after he checked us out and to make a long story short IT WAS NOT THE TRANSMISSION BUT A LOOSE WIRE. WOOHOO!!!

Writing this to say that they could have just gone along with the whole repair/replace tranny thing and bet us out of a lot of money but being honest business men, he and the person that he sent my vehicle to were honest.

So I would recommend John to any and every one that I know.
