MASSIVE DISAPPOINTMENT
I am absolutely disgusted with the way we have been treated by John Andrew Ford. In more than 30 years of buying (from Dealers), I have never before encountered such an incompetent/inconsiderate/screw you attitude.
First, the incompetent salesman who presented our new XR8 Sprint in a state that suggests he couldn't give a s**t.
Then there is the disgusting state of the expensive aftermarket finish applied to the wheels.
They did offer to refinish the wheels (which I had to remove and bring to them) but the "refinish" was no improvement. The incompetent salesman suggested that the problem was surface dust that had settled on the wheels after they had been recoated. However this "dust" required vigorous rubbing with Prepsol (solvent) to remove - a fantastic way to treat an expensive aftermarket finish!! The salesman left me to clean my own wheels (why should I have to clean them?) while he left the workshop to do something "important".
Following the dismal failure of the salesman to correct the problem, I contacted both the Sales Manager and the Dealer Principal and expressed my concerns.
After more than 6 weeks with no response from these 2 clowns, I have had to resort to contacting Ford Australia customer service.
Ford contacted the dealership and was told by the Sales Manager that "the issue had been resolved". That's news to me!!
Now, more than 10 weeks since I contacted the Sales Manager and the Dealer Principal, I have still not had the courtesy of a response from either of them. It is now 3 months since I purchased the vehicle which I have not yet been able to use pending resolution of the wheel issues. I have instead been left to borrow a 20 year old station wagon while I wait.

Unfortunately Ford Australia cannot command John Andrew Ford to do the right thing. Instead they tell me that all that can be done is to write a report and to choose a different dealer in the future.
If you want to be screwed over and left deeply disappointed then these guys are for you.

HIGHLY AVOIDABLE PLACE. Bunch of dodgy liars. Will give all assurances till they get the money and then they don't even wanna know you. There 100 point check promise is a big lie, I warn everyone. They don't know nothing about the vehicles they are selling. I noticed that they've been in business for over a 100 years and claim to be NZ's no. 1 car dealership, so I expected a high standard of service from them but I was very disappointed on seeing the reality to say the least. Even the small unknown car dealers must be more cordial and knowledgeable then these people. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE FOR YOUR OWN WELL BEING AND PEACE OF MIND.
