Joey Buona's was a mixed bag when it came to our rehearsal dinner. The food and service the night of the event were excellent, and we were totally happy with both them and the room itself. However, customer service and attention to detail on the front end of the event left something to be desired. I didn't feel that our contacts at the restaurant took much interest in our event, and then the day of the event there was miscommunication, and some of our items were left in an office rather than set out as we had asked. It was resolved quickly, but it still made me feel like we weren't a priority for the restaurant. Overall, we would recommend for the food, space, and location, but that may not be enough in a downtown market with lots of options.

Stopped in on a Tuesday evening during a business trip. I sat at the bar by myself to have some supper. The place was virtually empty, but the server came and helped me right away, he even turned up the TV so I could hear since there was no one else there. I asked him for some suggestions explaining that I was avoiding carbs at the time. He suggested the salmon, but I opted for the sausage and peppers with some mushrooms on the side. HOME RUN! Hearty serving size and absolutely delicious. I will absolutely go back, maybe even again tomorrow night!

A group of about 9 other people and I went to this restaurant before a night of bar hopping, and ended up having to skip all of our bar hopping because we were there for literally 4 hours. We ordered the family style pizza dinner. I felt this should have been easy, since instead of 10 separate dishes, we had two appetizers, two salads, two pizzas, and two desserts for the table. We would sit without any water or wine refills for over half an hour at a time. One person in our party had opted out of the family style dinner, and had asked that her food come out when our pizza did. She got her pasta a full hour before we got our pizza. After waiting 2 1/2 hours, it turned out they had messed up our pizza order. We were given the "mistake" pizza, and the correct pizza came out relatively quickly after that. Our waitress spent more time at the bar trying to get refills for us then anything else. After overhearing our table complaining about the service, the manager finally left bottles at our table. The food was really good, and the calamari appetizer was amazing, but I won't be going back. Even with a large group, it should not have taken 4 hours to eat dinner, and it completely messed up our plans for the evening.

Unlike a lot of the other reviews here, our server was on top of it. The deep dish, not so much. Crust was flavorless and the cheese was missing from the cheese and pepperoni. Hard to mess up something with 2 toppings. Being this close to Chicago, Joey's needs to step up their game! Oh yeah... What's with a fresh loaf of bread with no seasoned olive oil, maybe a cold pat of greasy spoon diner butter?

I will never return; we waiting 15 minutes for a server to visit our table. Mind you, there were only 4 other tables with guests in the entire restaurant. We then waited another 25 minutes for our appetizer. And then, another 45 minutes for our entree. The waiter was clearly disgusted with the timing. The manager came out just once and visited another table; i overheard conversation which did not sound to be too polite - actually, somewhat rude! Don't waste your time; not even with the Groupon. Just go to Buca Di Beppo! You'll be much happier there. :)

We have a soy allergy in our family and the chef at Joey Buona's made the pizza dough especially for us, sans any soybean oil. The pizza was delicious, the staff was friendly and upbeat--it was great to discover an allergy friendly restaurant in the Milwaukee area!

I use Joey's for most of our company lunches and they are fantastic to work with! Klaus is very prompt in returning emails and I can count on them to get our order correct 100% of the time.

I would recommend their boxed lunches for any employee/client lunch. They never disappoint.
