Joey Bellevue Review

Delicious good and drinks and very friendly service.

Took us nearly an hour to get our food, it wasn t busy. The waitress literally dropped the food on me. Steak was tough. Disappointing. Salad was okay.

Great patio garden in the middle of downtown Bellevue. Yummy sushi and great happy hour menu. Nice oasis.

Joey's in Bellevue has pretty expensive drinks compared to other bars in the area.

Not one server host or bartender under a 6.7 in this place

Staff has gone extremely downhill. The level of quality now is as low as it was high when I wrote the below review. No speed of service or professionalism is present. Some good servers remain but it's a challenge to find them and wait times are ridiculous. It's been this way for several months now and I keep trying to give them another chance every few weeks but it keeps getting worse. Quite sadly really how far they've fallen.

I started going to Joey's about two months ago and have ended up in there most of the days in those two months because the drinks and atmosphere are great.

Location: they're central in downtown Bellevue which makes it a prime spot to go to before / after anything else I may be doing in the area. Parking is directly underneath in the garage and either free or free with validation which is quite convenient. Their entrance is 5 seconds walk from the elevator indoors and on rainy days that's priceless.

Condition of the establishment: it's nicely formatted for a comfortable flow in from the patio on the Hyatt Regency courtyard to a perfectly placed smaller bar and the dining room. That space is accessible via a hallway beginning at the entrance the elevator lobby. You either turn right to go the dining room or left directly into the larger sports bar. The only issue with the layout is that ordering food in the sports means the bartender may have to walk through said hallway and to the kitchen off the main dining room to get it and then back to you. Rather counter-intuitive that way but obviously not the fault of anyone working there (I hope).

Food: I don't eat here much honestly. When I do it's just a side of fries or a salad at the bar with my drinks. I did try their sushi, wings, and burger the first few times j went but just wasn't wild about them. The sushi was good but that's an item I prefer to get at a dedicated establishment. The wings were actually excellent but too messy of a dish for me to frequent. The burger was fine but I ordered medium rare and was delivered one medium well to we'll. The server I had that night didn't do a two bite/two minute check so by the time I could ask if they took temps on the burgers mine was cold and I just boxed it. I think she was newer to the industry and in no way fault her for that. I still have yet to try the rest of the menu, just hasn't been priority recently.

Drinks: this is why I go here. The drink menu has a good representation across the board of different alcohols and specials. The wine list could use spme mote options by the glass though. I don't drink the specials personally, I just order what I want and they make it quite well every time. The bartenders are on point. They remember what I drink and make it not only correctly but quickly. They're personable and professional, balancing their variety of duties and customers well regardless of volume. I make it a point to know their names and use them because I have to have some level of trust in my bartenders and that helps develop it. I can't comment on the service at tables because I don't sit at them but I am quite content with the two bars and the service there.

Trendy vibe, food delicious, service alright. But overall one of our favorites in Bellevue.

Amazing California chicken sandwich. The mushroom soup is a secret weapon on the menu not to be missed. Love this place.

The atmosphere is good. If you go to Happy Hour, alcohol is not as expensive as you think. There are only six gyozas in your mouth.

My server Erin very nice, personable, and attentive. Definitely made my night worth it. I can t wait to come back!

Great spot to get together with friends to watch Seahawks games. Large bar/lounge area in the front that has a variety of drinks and food and formal seating in the back. Food is decent and priced well.

Hearty vegetarian burger. To sit on the patio everyone in the party should be 21+.

Both times I've come here during happy hour my drink of choice is the negroni. I've tried the peach bellini which is pretty good for those who want a sweeter drink. They don't have a lot of cocktail options for their happy hour which is a little disappointing but there are good deals for the cocktails they do have.

JOEY Bellevue is a fun fun happy hour! The gin & tonic was a good price for HH. Not much selection on the HH food, though. Yet, the atmosphere was fun! More men than women there. Yet, my male friends appreciated the cute servers. It's definitely fun and I would go back again one of these days.

Food it's ok but they have some stupid rules with alcohol. Also they have a lot of gum on the chair.

while Joey has some good dishes and some that are just OK.... the majority HOT female wait staff helps pass the time. Drinking can be expensive and some of the girls are hired based on looks and not how good they are at being a server. But all in all...I always have a good time .

I always get the Wings, or the rotisserie Chicken ,the super sonic drinks are great!

Whoops, meant for this to be a 5. Everything was great- Waitress knew the food well, recommended what to eat (me and party were vegetarian), kept coming back to refill our glasses of water, made good conversation, etc. Would love to visit again!

I'm new to Bellevue so I've been experimenting with different restaurants around town. Some of the service around has been slightly lacking from the hometown service that I'm used to. But during my first time at Joey's Bellevue Kristina S. made my visit feel legendary. she waited on my large friends group flawlessly, timely, and over all with the best attitude I've seen in a long time. We will all be back soon! thank you!

Got extremely disappointed last Saturday went to Joeys cause they have an amazing patio. We put our name on the list and got our text msg saying that we will receive a text when our table will be ready, and they quoted us an hour to one in a half for the wait which was understandable for a Saturday night. We decided to go to Central for drinks while waiting to get our text for our table. After two hours of waiting we went back to Joeys to check up and the host was shocked that it s been such a long time and after she checked her IPad she told me our names aren t on the list and she can t sit us even when I showed her that we did put our name on the list.

Whenever I go shopping with my sister, mom and aunt in Bellevue, this is where we stop for a snack or a full meal. The Happy Hour is awesome! The food is always great, as well as the drinks, and the servers are friendly. We have been coming here close to 10 years now, and have yet to be disappointed. The lettuce wraps are a go-to of mine.

Went in for the first time after my brothers wedding. Stopped by for food and drinks. The staff was wonderful. While waiting for our table we all had a glass of champagne on the house. I will definitely go back

Just wanted to express how awesome our experience at JOEY Bellevue was yesterday. I brought my little cousins, we had a girls shopping day and wanted to sit outside but as they are under 21 we couldn t, but that wasn t a big deal at all. The waitresses were so super friendly and fun! Also another girl, not sure her name, but seemed like a manager position, was also so friendly, fun and kind. She even gave this special dessert, Pots De Creme (I think? It s not on menu) as a courtesy. Maybe they just assumed we were bummed not to sit outside? Anyway, what a nice surprise! I brought it home to share with husband and it was AMAZING!! Our food was so good too, my one cousin said best burger ever like 5 times! After some depressing moments at mall, because of Covid rules and restrictions it was such a breath of fresh air experience at JOEY. A perfect way to end the day!!

I generally like Joey, but the kitchen is off its game during covid. Order was brought out wrong twice, steaks were overcooked and portions have really shrunk for the price.

The food is excellent and the service is always very good. Every dish I've had here has been excellent.

I have been at this place few times already for team lunch, a decided to try stake this time and I was really disappointed with it. It was just a little bit warm, it makes me think that it was reheated. Really disappointed.

I love the ambiance at Joey, which is why I always go back. Very clean place and great service. Average selection of beer. The farmers market salad was decent. I would highly recommend the little apple pies for dessert.

Food was very good. We hit the late happy hour, so prices were reasonable. They bartender made my martini just right.

Usually a 5. This time, not so much. Food was excellent. Service, not so much. Everything seemed in disarray, from restrooms to bar service. Not sure what had happened since the last visit a couple months ago!

This is my favorite Joey's in the Seattle area. Joey's Bellevue has a very cozy bar with a lounge in the bar area, with TV's throughout the bar, great bartenders and waitresses as well as appeasing decor. Joey's Bellevue food is excellent, damn good fries, good and affordable appetizers, friendly staff, spacious restaurant, a great outdoor seating as well as a second bar near the outdoor seating. Joey's in Bellevue is perfect for happy hour, meet and greet with friends & family, first dates, romantic dinner dates or just a place to watch a good game of football.

Bartender Eric on the sports bar side is a true asset. If it weren't for him I would have left after one lonely beer... Instead stayed for food and more drinks.

Was informed that this place his full of gorgeous women in the evenings, especially on the weekends. Supposedly this particular bar brings in people from all over Seattle, I don't doubt it with the friendly and easy on the eyes type of staff.

The foods are creative and extremely tasty. Check out the Ahi tuna tacos, soo good!

Loved my visit to this restaurant. It was my friend s birthday and we were treated so well! The food was fantastic especially the spaghetti.

My wife and I really enjoyed this restaurant. We especially loved dining outside during a late fall meal.

Good food just like the location on South Lake Union, but I think the staff and service here is a little bit better (consistently). Bar gets very crowded, though.

Food is as good as any other JOEY (which is to say, good!) - but the ambiance is off. It is LOUD

32 minutes to get a beer. Didn t even comp it after it FINALLY showed up. Service here is terrible. Same as Southcenter. How far the brand has fallen.

This place has a vibrant bar with great atmosphere and also a restaurant on the other side for more formal dining. If you just hang out with friends go for the bar (open seats), for family/business gathering I'd go with the restaurant. Food is great and late happy hour has good selection as well.

if you want to overpay for a food that you have order and didnot get, thats the place. if you want to pay extra for the small portion of your order that's the place. if you want to see dirt on the floor, but pretty girls walking around it, nobody clean it that's the place. I feel sorry for the girls that working at this spot. here and all the places from that chain. never going to come back again. and the restrooms are out of order most of the time. for a restaurant of a McDonald's range that is ok, but for this one it is not acceptable.

It's a unique experience. If your passing through Bellevue you have to stop in and experience it. Absolutely fantastic staff. Fantastic drinks too. Fantastic atmosphere. Naturally the food is great!! Sushi and the deep fried calamari was everything I expected it to be, and the drinks were just the way me and my boyfriend like them. Irina was our waitress, super sweet and outgoing, always had a smile on. She was super quick and always checked up on us. Will definitely be back, and hope to have Irina as our waiter again :)

Joey is so fun! I love the free Champaign if you're sitting in the bar as you come in, the staff are always so amazing and friendly, great drinks, great deals throughout the week, super fun place to visit!!
