Joe's Sporting Goods Review

Visited looking for a specific handgun. Interesting selection in general but not what i had hoped. Relatively on the higher end of the price range on all products. It carries concinments which means it can have some bargains occasionally.

Always friendly service and ready to help! This is my go-to sporting goods store, and they have comparable prices to the big box stores. I like that they are family owned.

Went for ski work and boot / ski package leases for our kids. Found attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. Very happy.

Solid outdoor store. Have some good brands, missing some others (Arc teryx notably). Had a negative online experience though - ordered a Patagonia sweater online during a sale, confirmed and charged purchase, only to find out a week later via email that the item was no longer in stock and they couldn t fulfill my order. Pretty lame, no attempt to make it right whatsoever. Would rate 4 stars if not for the bad online experience

I do not know how they stay in business with such high prices and lackluster service. Today was the third and last time I ll try and shop at the new joes (in the 90s and early 00s I bought all my ski equipment and clothing from old joes location). Waited for 20 minutes to get help with buying daughters ski boots. That entire time I saw one employee legitimately bust butt in the ski area while another stood and ranted about the politics of the local ski teams... not helping anyone and likely annoying the other people having to hear his gripes. Gave up on new skis for my kid but tried to save the trip by finding her a new jacket so we took a look at the small assortment of women s ski jackets on the way out. Decided I didn t want to refinance my house to buy her a jacket and left. Wasn t a loss for us though. Stopped at the house on the way home, bought skis, bindings, boots, poles, jacket and gloves from polite and knowledgeable staff and still had enough money left over to buy lift tickets at trollhaugen

I have been going to Joe's for a very long time. Over the many years I have gone they have not changed one bit, there always caring for your needs. If you ever have a question the employees are always willing to answer your question. Highly recommended.

Love this place. Service is excellent. Not as big as Cabela's, but always a better experience.

I brought a one time used pair of shoes that broke apart while trekking with my daughter back to the store. Despite the initial reluctance to refund or exchange due to the condition of the shoes (dirty and looking as if I used them more than the one time I did) the store stepped up and credit me back. I used the credit to buy a better/different brand in the same shop.

Joe's is a great sporting goods store. They have just about everything you would need to really gear up and enjoy yourself in the great outdoors. Good selection, fair prices, knowledgeable employees. They could EXTEND their hours slightly on the WEEKENDS because I always end up needing something and it's too late in the day to come here. Closing at 5pm on the weekends is way, way too early. Overall great place.

So earlier today, 06/29/2020, we went to the REI in Roseville,Mn to look for shorts and hiking boots. Once I was told I couldn t try on any clothes because then REI would have to put them in quarantine for 2-3 days, we put back the shorts I had decided to try and left the store. We have shopped at Joes Sporting Goods in the past so I called to see what their policy was. I was told that yes, I could try on any thing I wanted to and whatever I did not buy, they then quarantine for 3 days. Apparently REI has decided they are so special, that it s not necessary for them to take this extra step for their customers. So at Joes, I ended up buying, 1 pair of Oboz hiking boots, 1 pair of Hoka one one shoes, 2 pairs of shorts and a hat. Price for all, just under $400.00!!! Both pairs of shoes were 25% off, shorts were 20% off and hat was 35 % off. The store was as full as the person counting people at the door would let it be. So if you are ever in the Twin Cities, I would suggest bypassing the two overpriced REI stores and going to Joes.
Small businesses rule!!!!!

Wonderful experience with Isaac in the skiing/snowboarding department. Great first visit at Joe's! Helped me look for my boot, ski, and pole size. Super helpful and explained differences in brands. He even remembered my name! Will definitely be coming back. Thanks Isaac!

I ordered a Tilley hat through the internet site. Excellent price, best I found online. Hat was a tad tight, so I called to have it exchanged. Man on the phone was very courteous and very helpful. And they even sent the exchange at no charge. I found this store searching for the hat, but I will be back for other stuff, they have great selection and prices.

I had to make a return of a defective product and they took good care of me and gave me a new product that was as good or better as the one that I had originally purchased. I love these guys.

Update: went from 5 start to 1. Very disappointed in the customer service provided from Andrew in firearm. I came in to buy a gun not look for a gun. I came in knowing what I want. But with the poor, rude, bad attitude, I had to back out and DID not buy the gun. I rather shop somewhere else.

I am a regular customer at Joe's and the staff at Joe's are incompetent. If you go to Joe's, ignore every employee at this store. For example, yesterday I went to Joe's and asked the brown hair and overweight man behind the fishing counter for a Vexilar replacement battery. He then pulled a battery from behind the counter and told me that he only had two left. Upon further examination, and the help of google, IT WAS NOT A VEXILAR battery (wrong amperage). Then the other salesman walked off and left me standing there (young guy dark hair). Only go here if you need something specific and you know exactly what you are looking for. Staff are horrible. Usually way overpriced. Bad hours. Crappy bait.

The guy who helped me was very helpful, and informative, I will be back in the future to buy more firearms. Not a huge selection of guns I see, but a decent amount, affordable prices from around $350+.

Over the years I have been purchasing high end products from them and today I realized that their exchange and returns are garbage. I purchased a muck boot from them and work it for one day training my dog and noticed a little hole on the side. So I took it in and asked if they can help me out and do an exchange or something since I just purchased the boots but instead he insisted that there was nothing he can do and that he would just sell me a patch repair kit. Im not satisfied on how they help there loyal customers so for now on I will be shopping at the new cabelas in Woodbury know cabelas stands behind their products and customers.

Love Joe's for outdoor activities gear. From skiing (downhill or cross country) to fire arms, archery, fishing, great selection. Clean well organized store.

I expected this store to be allot bigger than what it was when I entered. It's a nice sporting goods store and I quickly found what I was looking for. It was on sale as well so that pleased me. I was disappointed it wasn't as big as I expected it to be though.

Absolutely love the place. Very helpful and diverse staff, generous return policy if a good enough reason exists, and a good selection of gear. Have bought a lot of gear here over time including my Thule cargo rack etc. Definitely a valuable small local business.

Lack in product inventory from fishing rods/reels/tackles/etc...Only shop there because it's close by and really convenient for me. Pricing is ok. Customer service by the cashiers could use a lot of training because their service lacks friendliness and courtesy. Other staff members were great in helping and are very knowledgeable in their field. Would like to see more different variety of inventory offered to the customers who patronizes you. Overall, I'm somewhat satisfied.

I wanted to take my boys fishing and they put together the best first time fisherman pack ever. It was ready when I arrived, they sold me a license and a bucket and every person I saw - both working and shopping was wearing a mask. Everyone with whom I spoke was very helpful and friendly and I was impressed at all the things they are doing to keep our community safe during these hectic times. Thank you!

Their prices can be a bit high, but they have a good gunsmith and great return policy on used guns.

Every visit to Minneapolis requires, at least 1, trip to Joe's. Can't find anywhere else that carries a cross country skiing inventory.

Nice clean , needed help on clothing Slow. Over all , a bit spend but go figure. You get what you pay for. Defiantly a place for winter warmth appeal. Went durning clearance time . all winter boots put away :-((

What a great store! We went here and found more than we where looking for. Good prices, great selection of quality brands. Very helpful staff, but not in a bothersome way like some stores. The ski departments are well stocked and with great selections. I would highly recommend Joe s and this was my first visit, but not my last!!!

Okay now this place is off the chain they got some stuff in there I never seen this sporting goods store I mean awesomeness appear in Minnesota where all this water at on ready to go whitewater rafting and get on some of these Lakes out here and play around with some fishing an awesome to toboggan is just an all-around great store a number love up in here you better get up in here and get this going on cuz it's spring is here and summer is coming a number fun-in-the-sun brobe
