I initially have Joe's 5 stars based on my first two shopping experiences. I had went out of my way to look for a new pair of Keen sandals because I heard masks are required. I got great service.and what I needed. However my 3 rd experience was very disappointing. I was looking for a 22 rifle as starter rifle for my child. I purchased and after waiting a week for Joe's to call back on the status of the background check I called to see if I could pick it up. Note I had recently made another purchase and had just gotten a favorable. Long story short, Joe's corporate makes you wait indefinitely for the response from the Feds. They didn't inform me of their unique policy. They Brady date most if not all other forearm sellers follow. Joe's requires you to give them money up front. I would never go to Joe's to purchase a fire arm. I had made a special trip and lost a week to find out I have to start all over. Very frustrating!

Prices are generally higher than most other sporting good stores in the area. They close at 5pm now so I imagine cutting the working man out of their customer demographic their prices will be even higher now!

I dropped into this store on a whim seeing it from the hwy, with the intent of finding ski/snowboard items. I was pleasantly surprised by some of the discounted items as well as the supply of ski/snowboard tuning accessories (waxes, brushes, etc) that many of the other sporting good stores have much lower volumes of. The goggle selection is impressive and displayed very well. The snowboard goods selections is ok. They carry the basic boards, bindings, and boots.

The service is ok. No different than any other comparable store (sometimes good and sometimes poor help).

Last year I brought in my Mossberg 535 to have my scope mounted on it for deer season, I went to use it again this year with the iron sights and the gun Smith removed the rear iron sights to accommodate the scope. They never returned the sight to me and now I can't use that gun this deer season, awesome.

This place is great! The staff are VERY knowledgeable but don t push anything on you. Terry in fishing is one of the best staff there. There have a lot of different things from boots to skis to fishing to hunting to clothes to swim suits. Great place to get what you need. They also have live bait for fishing which is awesome! They have pretty good sales when seasons change so keep your eyes out!

My doctor told me with asthma I should not have a face cover.Time to go back to shopping your local sporting goods stores . That s 5-10 gun sales lost and probably $10,000 a year in fishing gear

Stopped here on way to BWCA to pick up some extra rain gear due to weather forecast change. Called ahead to verify items needed, got to store and Terri was a 10/10 on customer service, fitting advice, and jokes. She alone made the visit worth it! Prices were fair due to 4th of July sales. 10/10 would recommend.

My friend and I were looking for fly fishing pop flys (they float)...and we found them. So exciting! While my friend was talking to a sales person about putting old shotguns up for consignment, I decided to ask if they sold ARs. As a supporter of #EveryTownforGunSafety and
#MarchForOurLives I wanted to talk to someone about guns. I met a man named Dale, who was gracious enough to talk to me, and I with him, with respect. The conversation was important to me. We talked about delayed applications, background checks, mental health checks, and instinct. We shaked hands, and it was a good thing!!! Thank you Dale!!!

Just called to see if a specific firearm was in stock. Gentleman who answered the phone told me he had a used one in stock. I asked for the price and he responded $430. This firearm is on-sale at every retailer ive found for $359.99-379.99. We are talking every every retailer. But I'd have to wait for one of them to get their next shipment or drive an hour a way. Was hoping to find one closer to me and from a business I frequent. I explained to the gentleman who answered that everyone is running the same sale price on new, he told me if I could find one for that price then why am I calling him, and hung up on me. I will never do business here again. I wasn't trying to be rude, I was as polite as can be just trying to inform them. I cant believe they'd let someone with those phone skills talk to their customers.

Ordered Patagonia product on Dec 5th and had confirmation it was going to ship for a birthday present on the 10th but here it is Dec 14th and still no product!!! HORRIBLE customer service could not answer why this happened! Don't be disappointed, don't order from them!!!!

Great sales all the time on seasonal apparel. You can end up finding some awesome deals on spendy brands that are almost never discounted elsewhere. Their firearms selection is pretty good too, not counting the obvious pandemic shortages. Great customer service as well.

I purchased a complete xc ski package, and had an issue with the boots. I went back to Joe's and worked with the manager who listened carefully and who solved the problem. What amazing customer service!! I felt like a respected customer! Thank you! I will share this story with everyone I know and encourage them to go to Joe's. A loyal Joe's customer.

Great people decent prices, great service. Im a long time customer. Have always loved walking in an just browsing. Great selection of products from fishing lures and rods to skis and boots. Large selection of firearms. Knowledgeable people!

If I could give zero stars I would. Jim in ski department is HORRIBLE. We leased a pair of skis for my son. We received a used pair of skis as expected. My son used one pair of skis for 3 outings then the binding broke. Returned them to the store to have the leased skis repaired/replaced. Upon greeting me Jim went on a confrontational rant about how the leased skis are not meant for jumping or anything beyond recreational use and I would be charged for any subsequent repairs. I found this ironic as the sale-person that fitted my sons when we decided to lease the skis joked and teased my boys about who was going to do the best tricks this upcoming season. Initial salesperson was Joe. He was great. Jim needs an attitude adjustment and if this is the policy of Joes' to charge for repairing leased skis it needs to be noted in the initial contract. Very shaky and questionable.

Joe's is great. I love to come here to get hunting and winter sports items; the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The sales they have are SUPER! I got all the new stuff I needed for winter fat biking at the last one (long johns, socks, chemical toe warmers, new goggles...) Come here for skis, guns, winter clothes, hunting supplies, footwear, you won't have to visit another place afterwards because something was out of stock.

OMG! This is the first time I've been to their new location and I was very impressed with the variety and quality of sporting clothes and equipment! Great place to spend hours looking around. I bought a pair of driving gloves but may need to exchange them for a larger size.

I went here today to look into cross country ski equipment. I am a beginner. I waited in line almost an hour to talk with someone, but it was absolutely worth it. Carlo was very knowledgeable and even though he had a very busy day, he was very polite and pretty much selected my equipment for me, which is what I needed. I have never been to Joe's before, but I will definitely go back. Thank you very much for a wonderful experience!

I haven't shopped at Joe's in years but stopped in as I was in the area. I asked one of the employees a question, he acted as if I interrupted his day; not friendly at all. Updated review, 2/17/21. As you can see from the response to my initial review I had Jim reach out to me to find out more about the experience that I had. I spoke with Jim for quite awhile and found that he was concerned about my experience at Joe's and wanted to make everybody's experience better. After speaking with Jim I do believe that this was an icolated occurance. I will definitely stop in again when I'm in the area and give them another try.
