This is as good as it gets for hotdoglandia. The environment is funky, classic-rockish, clean and organized. The hotdogs are excellent and service is pleasant. The rooftop dining is a great feature and there's the only pickle bar I've ever encountered. I go whenever in Charlotte area.

When I noticed that this place has been on television and considering the fact that I was spending $10 on a hot dog chips and drink that it was going to be phenomenal. It was the exact opposite I couldn't be more disappointed with a $10 meal the hot dog was very rubbery hey doused mustard on it to the point where you couldn't eat it without making a big sloppy mess and big surprise no napkins in the bag. I was very excited for this place but now I am very disappointed and I will not go back. My best advice if you want a gourmet hot dog make it yourself. For $10 I could have put on a hot dog picnic and I guarantee you that they would not taste like rubber dogs !

Only turn off is the credit card receipt has a space for a tip .... why would you tip counter service .? Like tipping the cashier at the grocery store ??? Have the owner pay better wages ! Good hotdogs ! Almost as good as Ted s in Buffalo

Hot dog was very good, Italian sausage was great. Talked with others and was told all the sausages they make are the best. Will definitely be going back. Dog and a beer, a simple combo done to its very best.

If you are a hot dog fan, then a visit to JJ's should be on your Charlotte to do list. I stop here whenever I'm in Dilworth around lunch time. The specialty dogs are interesting, and the classics are exactly what you'd expect for the local variant. Can't go wrong with a Chicago style or Sonoran here. The pickled veggies are also delicious and well worth adding to your dog. The staff has always been impeccable and service is prompt.

Well after reading reviews and craving a Chicago dog I decided to try this place. It was just a huge let down. Their Chicago dog is 1) grilled and 2) they use dejon mustard instead of yellow. I understand it won't taste 100% like the real deal...but this tasted nothing like it. I was born and raised in Chicago, and recently moved here. No hotdog place in Chicago that I know of does either of these things. Nor do they toast the bun. I'm not trying to be nit picky, however these 3 things really throw off the true flavor of a Chicago hotdog. Also the wait was rather long for there being barely any business when we were there. To the people looking to try this because they miss what they had back home....order portillos online because you wont get your fix here.

Amazing lunch spot after spending a day at Freedom park!! The hotdogs had awesome flavors and cooked perfectly, we also ordered wings and those were perfect too! We sat on the top of the restaurant overlooking the street and it was just a flat out cool vibe! The service from beginning to end was fast and friendly

They was finally open to dine in. Which was great. I haven't had anything that wasn't good. Last night I tried their hotdogs. I am not a big fan of hard casings on hotdogs, but it was good nonetheless.

Yummy

Picnic in the parking lot and pick one of a few hundred kinds of COLD beers or sodas. Dirty Jerz I ordered with the Borracho beans were terrific! Pandemic Combo I call it! JJ's has a nice big tent in their parking lot but sit outside and More

Dogs were okay. Our whole party didn't think it was great just okay. Definately had better dogs at other nearby local restaurants. Service was lacking but we were on top deck. So give them a pass on this. Probably won't return. Bummer! Had high hopes

If I could give this place 10 stars I would!!! As being from DC we don't gave anything like this and when going by it caught my eye. When walking in the staff greeted us with a big smile and an open heart. One of the workers was kind as I am very indecisive and took the time to go over everything with my. I ordered the "quater hounder" and the "chili coney" with onion rings and let's just say this I ate EVERY crumb in my basket!! It was so good I went back the next day and got another quater hounder and the "charheel" and an Italian sausage with peppers and onions and more onion rings and again ate every crumb!!! My sister lives in Concord and when I come down this is going to be a NUST STOP PLACE EVERYTINE!!! Thank you guys for your amazing hospitality and incredible food!!!

I got the chili cheese coney, hot dog was delicious! If you like campfire hot dogs then you'll love these! Also the french fries were the best I've had in a long time. I got a chocolate milkshake afterwards which was also really great, just a little overpriced ($4.49). The only downside was they were having a children's sports banquet while I was eating there. Which meant tons of snotty kids running around everywhere. But that wasn't the restaurant's fault, just poor timing on my end. Overall I most definitely recommend this place for anyone to try. Oh and they also have vegetarian meals!

Cool little local hot dog joint with a fun vibe and soy dogs for vegetarians. I ve been with coworkers for lunch during the week and with the kids on the weekend. Everyone leaves full and happy. It would be five stars except the parking situation is always difficult (small lot), and the prices are right on the edge of ridiculous. That might be due to Dilworth more than JJs...
