Place was redone after sandy, if you thought it was good before wait till you go now.
Nothing special. In fact, just overcrowded and overpriced and not my kind of people.
Absolute classic boardwalk on the Jersey shore.
2 Different mini-golf places, all kinds of food, fun and games!
I always have a blast here. Whether I go with my friends or I take my nieces and nephews always a good time.
I ve been going here for years ! Yesterday was so crowded my husband and I were searching for parking everywhere. The lots were charging $30 which is ridiculous but we we re willing to pay in order to be closer to the boardwalk. Which is easier for us bc we are traveling with our 1yr old & 5 yr old and I m also 8months pregnant. However all the the lots were full. We finally found parking at the end of the beach far away from Jenkinson s. Once we reached the beach entrance we were told No one couldn t get on the beach. It was 6pm we were advised that we needed to arrive before 5:30pm in order to paid full admission $10 to enter the beach. We offered to pay but no one would take our money. Many families who arrived late all were turned away. We drove over an hour just to have our poor kids watch other children & families play on the beach. We stood there in shock! Our kids cried there holding their toys & sand buckets. What a Horrible experience they Ruin our Saturday family road trip.
It's not the biggest boardwalk in New Jersey but it has a little of everything super clean very safe environment recommend this place for night out with the family
I've grown up coming here but I am always definitely looking for some new attractions or stores to open. It always seems to be the same, but this is still and will always be my go-to place. The beach is always clean and we love it here.
Great food and prices. Employees are friendly and knowledgeable.
Overpriced money pit - I prefer smaller boardwalks & clean beaches.
Good fun place for kids between ages 4-13.
Staff are very courteous and helpful.
Cleanliness can be a little better.
Also arcades are old and dull and break pretty often
Not many people were there on 9/3/2020... social distancing was easy, some people had masks while strolling on the boardwalk. Overall, it was a enjoyable place to spend the day with my daughter. Candy apples were the best!
My kids are 5 and 2, they had so much fun with the rides, there are so many that they can go on.
We love this place. Always clean and everyone is always happy :)
Very nice boardwalk with the games you would expect, and food. Rides were very fun for the kids.
Very nice area. Lively boardwalk. Lots of games to play. Beach is clean and soft.
Because my girls liked games and everything is very pretty
Our family had such an amazing time here. So much to do. I do wish that we were able to get here with more time to do more things. The food was amazing were we ate.
Great place to bring the kids and have fun...food is a lil over priced but pizza slices were larger than normal
Everything is outrageously overpriced compared to the other beaches and boardwalks in the area. Congested. Small. Claim to be family friendly, but post security guards to prevent access to the beach after hours. Didnt know jenks owned the Atlantic ocean. Money hungry.
Go to Seaside! Lavalette! Ortley Beach!
my girls and I had an amazing time . we are sooo said to see summer go
We've been up and down the Jersey shore in many generations of living in NJ. We had started going to seaside park/heights for a few years, but it just seemed like it was going downhill as far as the type of people up on the boardwalk, lots of obnoxious drunks in the many bars, riff raff, etc. My cousin's wallet got stolen right out of his baby daughter's stroller while they were going on rides, while he had his back turned for a minute. That's why we got o Pt Pleasant now, it's much quieter, family oriented, just the right size, very secure atmosphere with police/security around, and bars/clubs that are nicer and have great entertainment.
Great boardwalk for all ages. The carousel is free for 2yrs old n under. And I love fried Oreos. There is a fee to enter the beach. They also have an aquarium
Why was there an armed security person at Jenkinsons on the North end bar by the inlet? Is it THAT dangerous?? Around 5 pm on a Friday. I'm out! 2 stars for location.
as name suggest, pleasant beach to spend a day with family or friends..clear water and clean beach with good mix of eateries..
Great rainy day.
Lots of social distance today.
Excellent place for a family friendly beach experience. The boardwalk is amazing. Lots of things to do at the adjacent amusement park.
Variety and fun! You must wear mask while entering at stores. Great to walk and kids can have fun in the amusement park... recommended 100%
A rollercoaster ride broke down while we were there. Rides look old. For the amount of money the park brings in they should update the rides.
During this pandemic I was very unhappy to see how few people were wearing masks even after the governor mandated their use. The large crowds of people without encouragement to wear masks made my family not stay on the boardwalk as we traditionally would have each day of our vacation. Obviously the quest for the almighty dollar wins out over public safety.
The Beach closed at 5pm. No warnings anywhere. HORRIBLE for people who drove more than 1.5 hrs in heat and traffic. Thanks god Asbury Park Beach was open. Had a fantastic time @ Asbury.
Peaceful for night walks in the off season, but the beach is currently closed for maintenance (Nov 2019)
Always a favorite when I was growing up and now I get to share the same things with my kids and making new memories.
The parking situation was a nightmare. We were not about to spend $20 to park, so we drove around maybe 10 minutes until we found free street parking. We had to walk, maybe, 4 blocks, so it wasn't too bad....totally worth NOT paying to park!
The beach was pretty clean, not too crowded for a Saturday afternoon. Definitely NOT happy that we had to pay $9 a person to get on the beach, and you can't even go in the water after 530 when the lifeguards leave. I understand maybe not after dark or swim at your own risk after the lifeguards leave, but since we didn't get to go actually on the beach until 2pm, then to find out we couldn't be there (in the water) more than a few hours...we weren't real happy. We also realized, apparently after 4pm or so there's no one "manning" the stations to pay, so I guess if you go after 4, you don't have to pay? Wish I would have known that...I would have killed a couple of hours and just not paid and gone in for only an hour or so than pay $9!
Not impressed at the boardwalk at all, except for Joey's Tomatoes Pizza place. Delicious and somewhat reasonably priced based on being right on the boardwalk. ($3.75 for large plain cheese slice or $20 for very large pie.) There were a lot of carnival game type stands and I think I might have counted 4 arcade type (overkill) and the boardwalk is pretty small, maybe 3 or 4 blocks. So with all the game stands, it doesn't leave a lot for much of anything else except a souvenir shop here and there.
Most arcade games are scammed but the other games or fun
Jenkinson's is the place to be all summer long. Whether you're in the arcades, enjoying the Aquarium or just eating at the many food places in the boardwalk, you will love being at Jenkinsons. Of course, you can't miss the rides and games. What is a trip to the boardwalk without them!?!
I loved the boardwalk. It's short, 2 miles from one end to the other, the atmosphere is nice, people we ran into helpful and friendly, an overall good experience. I will return and would recommend it to anyone wanting a short but pleasant walk plus there are lots of places to sit on the way.
Love Jenkinsons, we live about 10 min away, and there is always something fun to do. The aquarium is awesome, and the atmosphere is family friendly! Hope to be coming for many years to come.
Very nice boardwalk overall. It was clean and I saw plenty of officers patrolling the area. Food is expensive. The kid rides are a rip off. When it says 6 credits, it means if a parent rides along with their kid it s 6 credits per person.
Great place for family fun. All in one-beach, rides, games, food etc..Quick getaway not far from NYC.
Love this place but they definitely need a better way to scan the wristbands especially on toddlers. Every ride the operator is either tugging or twisting arms just to scan the wristbands. Have to get a better system or a handheld device to scan the wristbands.
It's definitely more for folks between the ages of ten and twenty seven
Off season is the way to go compared to the hustle and bustle of in season.
Great rides for younger kids, clean and family friendly. Plenty to do here from beach to rides or mini golf...
The food is overpriced. At night, it is way too overcrowded. You can't move at all and every time I go, there are fights.
Such nice boards, games are NOT rigged, like seaside! My boys won me TONS of stuffed animals! No riff raff, very family friendly
Very family orientated in the day time, fun foods! Wide variety ones it gets late around 11pm it can get very rough with drunk people.
Great time with moderate priced items (e.g. Rides, drinks). Parking is a nightmare but that has nothing to do with Jenkinson's and the Boardwalk. Worth a trip for a good family day out.
