Prices are nothing special; range is good considering the local alternatives; staff have little product knowledge, but will say anything for a sale (benefit of the doubt; they don't know they're giving very wrong advice!)

Bought an LG smart tv a month ago and all went well. The tv was delivered and set up for free. I have also bought a MacBook Pro and the sales person was knowledgeable and helpful. Only downside is; don't try to phone the electrical dept as you will not get an answer. the phone just keeps on ringing. I have phoned on many occasions and never got a reply.there is no answerphone to leave a message for them to phone you back. this is very poor service. having said that the staff are friendly and helpful if you go in person. Prices are a bit high though.

I hope I am wrong, but I suspect that The Powerhouse attempted to scam me today. I took my laptop in as it was only charging intermittently. I hoped that it was just a faulty charger, rather than a potentially more expensive issue with the laptop itself.



Possibly it was a genuine error, but the fact that Powerhouse staff member disappeared with my laptop only to reappear effectively saying that my laptop was faulty when there was nothing wrong with it, does seem very suspicious.

Great store with very professional and helpful staff. Please can you guys get more android phones. I find myself looking to buy online and would rather buy local if possible. Oneplus, Oppo, xiaomi, Vivo, redmagic to mention a few, you guys just seem to have iPhone, haiwei and Samsung like everywhere in Jersey.

Very pleasant and helpful ladies called Christine ...

Very pleasant and helpful ladies called Christine and Lynn on electrical and kitchen wares , it's refreshing to be served by knowledgeable staff who give the extra help and advice on different products . On the television section an exceptional young man , Nuno greeted me with a smile and a pleasant helpful manner which is refreshing for a younger staff member I am certain he will be an asset to the present sales team including Jamie who I found was knowledgeable on the technology of an item that I asked about, also a new trainee in the TV department Andre who was very helpful and eager to assist in an enquiry , another new trainee John with a great smile you cannot miss him he is about 6ft tall a good looker ! Ask him about the electric bikes and the electric scooters ( which only cost around 20p a battery charge and will run about 24 kilometres , it's so nice to have service from pleasant people. You must pop in for a browse and there is a cafe almost at the end in case you get hunger pains !

The battery in my Touchmate laptop had swollen up and distorted the keyboard. Powerhouse said they could do nothing and advised me to take it to the recycling centre immediately. Fearing it might explode, I drove to La Collette which was closed. Later I came across Tech Supplies in Sand Street, St. Helier, who agreed to look at it. They unscrewed the back, removed the faulty battery and handed the laptop back to me usable. At Powerhouse I did not get past the IT customer service desk. I was also asked for the laptop receipt, which I did not have as I bought the laptop almost two years ago.

Ordered a fridge freezer online from the Powerhous...

Ordered a fridge freezer online from the Powerhouse and was a bit disappointed when I received an email to tell me that there had been an error with the website and they no longer had the product in stock. The person I dealt with (Paul) was incredibly prompt at responding, courteous and professional. He offered me a discount on an alternative model of my choosing and pushed the delivery date forward for me upon request. Technical issues happen to every business and is no fault of the staff, and honestly the Powerhouse couldn't have handled it better. Very impressed with the service and a big thank you to Paul.
