Amazing customer service. Turned around putting clear panels into solid fabric gazebo curtains in 24 hrs. Excellent price. Quality of the work is exceptional. My review is only based upon the initial contact which was with Richie who was unfailingly courteous. I will report back when I get the sail but I do not anticipate any problems.
I bought three sails last year from Jeckells the Sailmakers (not to be confused apparently with the other Jeckells the cover makers, despite the similar logo). I have a faster boat (same boat) and a five year guarantee. What's not to like. They visited my boat in Heybridge and measured up so I didn't have to, and it did all fit properly, probably for the first time in the boats life. They are a bit shaky organisation wise but nobody perfect.
I bought a Jeckells mainsail three years ago at the boat show. They were really pleasant and said that they would measure up the sail to make sure it was perfect. They did measure up but despite this got the dimensions wrong, forgot to put the reefing eyelets in, then retrofitted them in the wrong place and in situ using adhesive sail cloth. There are photos and a full story on brimbleboat.blogspot. I would never use Jeckells ever. It was a great shame.
Discussed requirements at SIBS2018 for my Rival 41C, main and roller reefing genoa; got good advice as well as a great price. My boats in Scotland so I self measured and sent dimensions down and received sails on time and to specification. Jeckells had dimensions for another Rival 41 and compared to mine as a double check. Self fitted and they look good. I went for a Vectran material and full battens. A very easy service. Tip: measure according to their guide, measure lengths of baubles and shackles, outhaul sliders, height from decks, goosenecks and send lots of pictures. I would be happy to use Jeckells again based on this experience.
Bought a new set of Sails and a Sailtainer system last year 2016. I received excellent service from Jeckells and the quality of the sails is excellent. The purchase of both items has transformed my sailing pleasure to a much higher level. Has been a pleasure being associated with the company. I have also taken advantage of their winter Sail storage facility.
This is a word for word copy of an email I sent to Jeckells the sailmaker after taking delivery and test sailing my new sails.

Other berthholders at Sutton Harbour marina have admired these sails. I don't think that they will any problem finding your details.

Fantastic quality sails for my Vancouver. Best price and great service. Ordered a cruising chute after and got a discount as a returning customer. Would not use anyone else.
Spent a large amount of money on new covers for my boat.... At the first windy day one panel ripped because of the design around the door. Reported to jeckells who said better for me to get it fixed locally at my expense! Don't use these people as after sales service is disgraceful. Many more companies out there with better product.
