Quality beer and wine selection -- one of the best in the area. There are usually some specialty large format beers in there too. I've found the staff to be very helpful and knowledgeable as well. Sometimes the prices can be a little high, but nothing out of the ordinary for a central DC shop.

Great liquor store. They have a ton of options for a range of budgets and the beer growler machine is a true beauty. They also have tastings often. Stop in on a Friday evening and you might have the option to taste beers, whiskey, and wine all while grabbing a $9 sale growler to unwind with at home.
Employees are very helpful and kind people.

D vines has a pretty good selection of sour ales, wine, craft beer and liquor. Mostly the staff is nice and helpful.

A delightful boutique wine and spirits shop, with a fantastic selection for its size. The staff knows their stock well and are consistently attentive, in my experience. I live nearby and have been going here frequently since they first opened as a beer and wine store. They've expanded tremendously since then and now offer a great selection of whisky and other spirits as well.

Simply the best wine shop in Columbia Heights. Don't ask more, just go.

Scones has three major things going for it. 1. Rotating selection of great wine. 2. Rotating selection of beers to fill a growler with. 3. Less rotation, but a spectacular liquor selection.

The Columbia Heights location is smaller and less beer oriented than its former AdMo counterpart, but still a good place to find rare finds in DC. They tend to get the good stuff. If what you're looking for isn't out, ask for it -- they might be holding it back. The growler station is one of the more sophisticated that I've seen, and is a really nice addition to the store.

The manager and his associates are extremely rude. And to top off they don t even have a large variety, save your money!!!

This small beer, wine, and spirits shop always has a very excellent selection of unique and delicious offerings. Their staff are very knowledgeable about the various products they carry, and can always recommend a unique liquor for that perfect cocktail project.

Our go-to store for nice whiskey, gin, and tequila/mescal. They have an excellent selection to include many local distilleries.

I like this shop. It's close to the metro, so easy to hit up if you're coming back from work. They have some good growler offerings, with a standard selection of beer bombers and an above-average selection of six-packs.

Service has usually been good - it's much improved over the past few years. The guys are friendly enough and are usually able to help you immediately if you have a question. I have gotten good service at the growler counter every time I've gone.

I love everything about D'Vines, from the craft brews they have by the pack and to fill your growers, to the wide array of bourbon and other things they keep on hand. One of the few places I've seen in DC where I can consistently get chartreuse. The staff always knows what they're talking about and they make great recommendations.

D Vines offers a wide range of liquors, beers, ciders and wines. The last time I visited the store, they had 2 for $20 of some very nice wines, which was great because I was shopping for wine for a friend. The staff are very helpful.

Not the biggest place but a nice (if not huge) selection plus a knowledgeable staff.

Friendly staff who can always accept my request of "Please find me *x* type of liquor in *y* price range that is unusual or noteworthy in some way." I've enjoyed many hastily purchased staff-recommended whisky choices there, and as a neighbor, will continue to do so. Selection is a bit limited per their size, but includes many dark liquors, a reasonable amount of wine, and a surprising amount of "craft" beers.

Best wine / beer / liquor store I've found in DC. Great selection of "the good stuff". Prices are normal - not great but certainly not gouging. Not a great source of budget wine (if you're looking for that go to Trader Joe's). But if you like GOOD wine, liquor, and beer (including a great growler station) then this is your place.

D'vines has the best growler prices and an up-to-date list on the website that even tells you how much of each keg they have left. They make great beer and liquor selections and get new shipments in several times a week so it's always new and interesting when you stop in. I've had great experiences with all of the staff.

Very friendly staff and a large selection of wine and spirits. Fantastic selection of beers for growlers, but the variety of bottles varies. Not enough stouts and porters available while if you're into hops there is a fair selection of IPAs.

This place has unquestionably the worst service of any type of business (Comcast included). If you're lucky enough to even get the attention of someone who works here, expect a very dismissive and arrogant response to anything you ask. If douches had a natural habitat, it would be behind the counter at D(ouche)'vines. The only positive is that they have a decent selection but of course it's over priced. I wish Google would allow a negative star system to truly do this place justice.

This place is good for beer, but I find their liquor selection a little lacking.

That wouldn't be such a big deal if their customer service was more responsive, but I had a problem with not getting credited for purchases on their rewards program. It took months of follow up and threatening to go to the ABC before the issue was really with.

Okay spot if you need something in a hurry or enjoy beer. We just got engaged and went in for something to celebrate. I asked for something bubbly not to sweet and not to dry and they woman behind the counter noted that bubbly things don t come sweet and then proceeded to be on her phone the entire time we checked out. They lost out on a big potential order and I likely won t come back for the pretentious staff.

This place has a great liquor selection with some new local things we like to try out. But what really keeps us coming back is their growler filler - never seen anything like it! They always have a ton of options, including a bunch of local choices and the machine the fills it is like nothing I have seen. We love this place.
