Visited a special as l event, a landscape maintenance tradeshow. The food was fantastic and Jailbreaks IPA selection was wonderful.

Good beer but not sure why you have to be 21 after 7pm. Would probably spend a lot more money and so would my friends. People have kids.... Get over it. Dumb rule
Fun atmosphere and a decent selection of beers. Serves food too! Also very accommodating given the recent social distancing standards.
Nice outdoor tent space setup in the parking lot. Service was friendly and helpful for someone not familiar with beer types
Hip, casual atmosphere. Note that they don't serve wine or liquor or food, though there is usually a food truck outside, and you're allowed to bring food in.
Great beer, food and service! Just wish it wasn t so far from my house.
Great selection of original brews. Try the Righteous Guava if you are an IPA fan!
Great place to have a beer. There is no food served but their is a food truck right out side. Great beers. The Big Punisher is the bomb.
Great beer overshadowed by absolutely terrible service. I would love to be able to rate the food but after sipping a beer for 20 minutes I wasn't event asked if I wanted to eat or offered a menu at 6 p.m. ..... Perhaps if the staff weren't just standing in a circle drinking and BSing maybe the service would have been better.
Even with a full house the place was open and not claustrophobic. The beer was so so but I didn't try every single one. There was strictly bar food available. Take home growlers, six packs in cans, coasters and mugs were the souvenirs of choice. One giant TV on one station was entertainment with music playing on the background. Not a bad place in an industrial complex.
The new addition of Jailbreak Food is excellent and paired with the already excellent beers makes for a prime destination.
Beer is pretty good, not great. Fun time. Definitely worth checking out.
More of a restaurant than a Brewery. While the food smelled delicious it was not the reason I stopped there. I had several different beers and none of them actually peaked my interest. I recently went there on a whim, its nice to sit under a big tent- like a beer garden. but I was sat next to the speaker so my ears were ringing afterwards. Prices were good though
Great beer and atmosphere. Plenty of seating for large groups.
I liked the samplers I tried. There were no standouts for me. I appreciate their two reds to choose from.
They make great beer. Now they have food. Check it out
This was our first visit and it was under the restrictions of newly reopening from COVID. There was lots of outdoor seating available, but since we arrived at the tail end on a lightning storm, they were seating any other people outside. Inside we got a couple of seats back in the corner at the bar. Oh well. Plenty of people there even with social distancing. This is a big operation. We sampled a number of beers and pretty much liked them all. I would say, the Red Ale was very good. Good service. Very friendly. Attentive and responsive staff. Well done Jailbreak!
Solid brewery. Worth a stop. I am a 10+ year home brewer and I don't recomend any place lighly. So far the best small microbrewery in the mid atlantic.
Great beer options, locally involved in the community with different events and festivals. Beer prices at the Brewery directly could be a little cheaper. Nonetheless, love the beer and love that it's in my town!
Great place to meet and interact with other professionals.
JB has some awesome Hazy IPAs right now, about six of them. Something for everyone's tastes, from dank (earthy) to fruity. They also have some sours, one made with strawberries one with cranberries, if you're into that. The belgian strong ale was sumptuous.
Went there for my birthday this year with my family. Outside area was tented with tables spaced apart, masks were being worn by staff but not required for customers. Only thing was that it was extremely hot, and there were a lot of bugs but that comes with eating outside in the summer.
Service was excellent and our waiter had many good suggestions. Beer was good as always, lots of variety. Food was probably the best part, as all of it was delicious. I got the cheesesteak sub, and surprisingly the cilantro mayo-aioli sauce was the highlight.
Awesome beer! Great staff, very helpful and full of knowledge
Beer is good, food is timely, hot and good. What is else is there to say.
Visited this place over the weekend. Upon entering, the ambience seemed pretty cool. The sitting area is wide open, with good lighting, and it s clean. Plus, there s a cool picture window view of the brewing area and equipment.
But then, when you actually get down to the business of why you came...to drink and eat...the layout and set-up seems off. Maybe it s related to alcohol licensing, but you have to get your drinks and food in two different places, making you add steps to your fitness tracker when you really came to chill with your friends. And yes, there aren t any servers, so anything you want you have to get up from your table and retrieve yourself. This may be good if you re worried about the calories...
Also, there s a little sitting area in the middle of the place where there were what seemed like two families with their little toddlers playing with toys. This seemed a bit off in a place of drinking...is this a bar or a family restaurant where you can drink beer? I think that prt hasn t been resolved.
The beer was decent-good variety to choose from. I stuck with the White Russian all night and tasted most of the others. The food was decent but nothing stood out, priced similar to any other restaurant you d go to.
The staff was friendly and the clientele were too.
I gave this place three stars because of the cool picture view, the nice staff, and the friendly clientele. Good place to go with the family if you re not looking for anything spectacular but just a decent place to hang, talk, and drink some beer. Not recommended if you want to sit on your tuckus and be served.
Great business. Large space with micro-beers that always seems to be busy.
Went there not only for their beer, but to try out their food menu. Very impressed! Gonna have to go back for more "research". Cheers!
Wow, this place was great... Up until the end when one of your bartenders (who was on the customer side of the bar) kind of ruined it for me and my coworker. We were talking with a local for the last hour of the night, at the bar, about things to do in the area because we are new. It was a few minutes past closing (sorry to extend our stay) and out of nowhere, one of your bartenders decided it was time for us to leave because she was sick of us and the company we work for. She was drinking... Maybe that had something to do with it; however, it put a bad taste in our mouth. We weren't bothering anyone, we tipped well, and we're just talking to a local/ regular (Cameron) about things to do in the DC area and one of the bartenders decided to talk negatively to us just because we worked for a certain company and said its time for us go because she's sick of us and seeing our company around the area... pretty aggressively. I don't know... The beer was ok... The imperial IPA was my favorite and we had a good time up until that point. I don't know what we did to make this off duty bartender mad but it's not going to stop us from coming back for good beer. Sucks I have to leave a bad review. Beer was great, service was questionable....
I visited while in town for work, and was very pleased with my experience.
Very good selection of tasty beer, delicious food, terrific atmosphere....but the staff are what made the visit so great. They were very friendly and provided more than expected for quality.
Not sure why this place is so highly rated. Came here on a Friday night and the bartender was a dick. Acted like we inconvenienced him for asking for a beer. Double IPA was good, but not good enough to save this place. Q.Cumber beer & Carrot Cake Amber (ordered by our group) was some of the worst beers I've ever had. If you like their beer, buy it from the store. This place ain't worth a visit.
Had a great time sampling beer and playing shuffle board while waiting for the brewery tour which was very informative and a great value. Highly recommended.
I've only been here once, but it was an awesome experience! I got a delicious coffee beer and the amazing shrimp tacos that were perfectly spicy. While I didn't get a chance to play any shuffleboard, I thought the whole set-up of the lounge and play space was really cool. Hope to go back again soon!
We celebrated our friends birthday here. Nice place to hangout in big groups. Great collection of beers. Food menu has fewer options, but quality and taste is good. Feed the monkey beer is my favorite here.
Will definitely plan again, this time with brewery tour as well.
I've been back about 5 times and love it every time! The first time we were there, my friends and I hosted a surprise 30th birthday party and the staff was so accommodating about reserving tables for us and helping us set up food for our group in the corner of the taproom. I also got to enjoy the most recent Ugly Sweater Party, which was a lot of fun. We all enjoyed the live music by Loose Ties and every time I go back to Jailbreak I appreciate the staff, the selection, and the great variety of food trucks that come by the brewery!
Great atmosphere, great beer! They aren't brewing my fab this year...uggg #CarrotCakeImperial
The beer was good but the food was nothing to write home about for the price. It's a fun environement in there with plenty of parking and seating.
So glad we stumbled across this place on a rainy Sunday. Great beer. Great food. Great atmosphere. And super clean bathrooms. Will return if we find ourselves in the area again!
The place was great. Plenty of space to move around and talk with folks attending a networking event. They also had a couple of sofas. One thing that was missing was food. No food trucks outside and they don't have a kitchen.
Lots of space and not too loud. Great beer and food selection
Great tasting room for a fun brewery. Good selection of their beers with an occasional very interesting experimental cask beer available. They usually have great food trucks out front and dogs are welcome in the tasting room which makes it even better. Highly recommended.
One of my favorite brewery's to go to now. Not many places have great beer and great food, but Jailbreak has both. Their "Special Lady Friend" hazy IPA is one of my favorites. CAUTION their jerk chicken tacos can be EXTREMELY spicy! But if you love garlic, order a side of their garlic fries.
Place is awesome. Can't beat a place that is a fan of The Big Lebowski. White Russian is one of the best beers ever!
Very good beers; my three friends and I had two flights and a pint each, all very good. We only had a few food items but thought them delicious.
Interior is very nice and spacious. No exterior seating and the exterior store front is a little lackluster. We enjoyed it all very much!!
Food was fantastic! Everything was on point, service was great super nice people, you can tell they are happy working there and that speaks really good about the brewery. The beer was really good and the atmosphere was super good. I definitely recommend this place if you are living in Laurel and you are looking for a place to eat and drink good.
I paid $68.79 for:
-4 beers (16 oz each)
-1 sampler ( 3 oz each not sure)
-2 beef tacos
-2 tuna tacos
-flat bread (scallions good form 2)
Great brews, great food, great merch, great atmosphere! And Kyle rocks!
Great place. Booze, beer, wine and great food. There's nothing like it within 10 miles of it.
Cool theme. Great for small to moderate gatherings.
Jailbreak is a chill spot and the drinks are affordable. Try feeding the monkey lol. It wasn't overwhelming and they are practicing 6ft distancing. Definitely will visit again
Great food, great beer, great events. What more could you ask for?
Good beer and food. Got the basil mozzarella flat bread which was yummy. Nice shuffle board table.
Met a friend here for lunch. The beer selection is quite varied and the beers we drank were quite tasty. Czech the Technique is a Czech pilsner that tastes much like a pilsner from the Czech Republic. Special Lady Friend is a hazy IPA with fruity notes. The spiced flank steak salad featured mildly spiced steak strips atop a large bed of spring mix with pickled o ions, spiced carrot slices and marinated tomatoes. The various flavors melded together in each delectable bite. The house burger was served with freshly fried spiced chips, a well put together meal.
We had most of the beers on their menu and were disappointed by all but one of them. It was also really expensive. I will say that the venue is nice and has a shuffleboard table.
Feed The Monkey is one of the tastiest Heffeweisens I've ever had. Really enjoyed the food, and it had a great atmosphere. Not geared towards kids.
The beer is exuberant and the new food menu is tasty.
Oh, man. I dont even know where to begin with this place. The beer is AMAZING! I've tried alot of local breweries but these guys have the passion for sure. They even tell you what brew pairs up with their menu items. So I try something new everytime I'm in there. Great customer service, food, brew, and atmosphere. Feed the Monkey is my favorite but Its Christmas Damnet just went on my top five brews.
I travel a lot, so writing these reviews are sometimes difficult and challenging. However this place deserves the highest star rating possible. We had a private event here at this location and hands down this is one of the top venues to host these. Not only did they accomodate our group with a audio, visual, etc, but Alfredo and team made it a true pleasure for our customers. The food served here was amazing. The knowledge and friendliness of the staff was top notch. The tour of the facility and explanation of the story of this brewery, the owners story which resinates with me being a previous government guy, the knowledge of beer making, and the list goes on and on... AMAZING. SERIOUSLY guys, you rock. I will recommend your company to many, talk about it, and support you anytime I have the opportunity. The work culture here can be seen and felt - keep up the great work and DON'T change. I didn't mention the beer did I? Wow, yes, you nailed it. You have something for everyone's taste including mine which is porter/stout. Keep it up guys! Don't change a thing except continue to grow and flourish this incredible company.
We threw our wedding reception at Jailbreak, hosting about 110 people. We hired a band (Bachelor Boys), rented a 30x30 tent outside, 6 8-person tables for the tent, and had Jeno's steaks cater the event (they will work with any caterer). They also made a custom beer for us (Strawberry Guava IPA)
The event could not have gone better. And I mean that emphatically. Elizabeth, the event coordinator, is absolutely fantastic. Our families were raving about how helpful she was, even in the last moments and getting the little details done the night before.
The atmosphere and decor of the brewery meant we had to decorate very little, and the taproom has a natural dance floor (once the couches are removed). We had some unique photo ops because they allowed us to use the whole facility, including the production areas.
They even let us enter from the rear of the building, so that we could make our entrance without being seen ahead of time.
Bathroom facilities were more than adequate for our crowd, and the whole facility is ADA compliant (which was important for us).
If you're like us, and you care more about everyone having a good time, rather than tradition, consider this for your next shindig.
The only drawback was that at the time their alcohol license only allowed for serving beer (so no wine, cider, or liquor). They are opening a restaurant side soon, so that won't be an issue in the future, so we won't dock them any points for that. The custom beer was a nice touch, despite not having champagne for the event, and actually considerably cheaper. Plus the beer turned out AMAZINGLY.
11/10 would get married here again.
Good, fresh draft beer. Taproom is usually occupied by douches, but if you go in for a growler fill you can enjoy the beer without hearing "bro-stories"
This is my wife and I's favorite spot to go with or without kids. Great beer, great staff and great atmosphere.
Always something different to try. Can't wait till they get the restaurant open, come on zoning board!
Jailbreak is a cool spot with a fun ambience, good food, decent beer and shuffleboard too! I'd highly recommend going here if you're looking for a nice date spot, a place to catch up with a friend, a space that can accommodate a large group, or are starting to expand your beer palette.
If you're really really into beer, then I would recommend checking out Hysteria instead. It's nearby and has better beer. To be honest, the beer at Jailbreak is mostly okay with a couple great outliers, like Special Lady Friend.
I really like that they offer food here. But, I really wish they would label their vegan options and better educate staff on vegan options. 25% of people under age 35 in the US are vegan. 10% of people of all ages in the US are vegetarian. I'm willing to bet that the 21-35 market is a key customer base for Jailbreak. And if it is, then they really should consider more vegan options, or at the very least better labeling.
I had a frustrating time at Jailbreak during my last visit. The staff weren't familiar with the new menu, and I practically had to beg them to check with the kitchen to find out if a couple of different options were vegan or could be made vegan. Then they messed up my order and included bell peppers. I was really clear in expressing my allergy to bell peppers when I ordered and even asked the person taking my order to make sure there was a note about it (because he seemed uncertain about whether they were present, and I didn't want to deal with a similar fiasco as sorting out what was vegan).
I have been to Jailbreak 3 times. I'd give the beer 3-4 stars for all visits, and the food and overall experience as 5 stars the first two visits and 3 stars the last visit.
Best bar in Savage and North Laurel. Just don't get the $5 Thursday burger special. Would be 4 stars if everything else wasn't the best. Better to go to Wendy's nearby.
I d always enjoyed the brews at Jailbreak, but the newly opened kitchen is a game changer. I got the Chorizo flatbread last night and it was outstanding. I m looking forward to trying more items in their menu!
Excellent atmosphere, knowledgable staff, and wonderful community member. Weekly events with trivia, music, and tech talks. Also, did I mention the beer? Fantastic. In fact, their Cafe Kavorka Porter with Cherries is one of the best stouts I've ever had. And I've had loads of beer. This is a must-visit brewery in Howard County.
Love the beer! Righteous Pour is a fav!! Just had an amazing, probably best steak sandwich ever there!!! Fries were perfect complement!
Food was good, simple menu.. its a brewery that serves food, gone are the days of checking their website to see which food truck will be at Jailbreak on which day - I Like how the food menu has which drink suggestion pairs well with which.. in the case of the jerk chicken tacos, It had listed Czec the Technique - and yes it did pair well.... So You grab a table, go up and order the food, they ask if u want to start a tab, they give you a your drinks, and a electric buzzer to let you know when your food is ready, when it buzzez.. you go back up and get your food. Oh and be sure to go to the Restroom to Wash & Dry your hands before you eat. Best experience ever... After all these years, still my favorite part of the place... Yes, the Dyson wash dry faucet..
Took a tour -- amazing opportunity to hear from the owners themselves on the history of Jailbreak and the beer making process. Bartending staff are excellent -- super friendly and helpful!
Large brew pub with a relaxed feel. Friendly bartenders. Kid friendly with a dedicated space to eat. Bar area has large screens to watch sports. A wide assortment of beers
most of which are just okay. I did like the Oday IPA which is like a coffee stout but much drier and with a cleaner finish. I would also recommend the pretzel which is a cut above regular bar food with a very tasty mustard dipping sauce.
If you want a place that is low key to hang out and destress after work, this is the place. Absolutely great atmosphere and the wide variety of beers is fabulous, you will definitely find one that you love! The kitchen addition will only make it that much better (granted the food trucks that come by are excellent). It is convenient and easy to get to and certainly high up on the list of favorite places to go.
Jailbreak's selection of beers will satisfy all beer drinkers tastes . Plan on staying a while in their comfortable tap room. STAFF is knowledgeable and extremely friendly
