Jack's Prime is nothing to write gone about but offers a decent burger and shake. menu is short and sweet with a diner like feel.

My favorite burger place - burgers, fries, salad, shakes - they do it all so well! Service is wonderful also!

I've been eating here ever since they opened. The quality hasn't changed even though thier popularity has. It does get crowded at peak times. Glad they kept the Tuesday special.

The black bean veggie burger is the best. Even my carnivorous father enjoyed a bite of the veggie burger.

One of the best Diner's in San Mateo, don't forget to try their shakes also the tiger ranch was very delightful with the Fries.

The Burgers are so good. I expected good and they exceeded my expectations!

Service was not the best. Waitress never came back to fill our drinks. Food quality has changed. Salads need to be served in bowls not plates, very awkward.

No place like it, good old fashion , where everybody knows your name place. best place when no one else is open, they are there to bring smiles to your face with a homemade pies.

Great burgers, salads, and sweet potato fries. Service was great (hostess, wait staff, bussers all seemed in sync and helped each other out). Small parking lot otherwise park on El Camino.

I would normally give this place 4 or 5 stars. The burgers are juicy, shakes delicious and I love the fried pickles. But the last time I went I had take-out and the staff were slow, chatted away whilst my order sat on the counter getting cold. Plus, they got the shake order wrong.

This is our favorite burger place on the peninsula. The milk shakes are good too. Parking is a pain when they are full.

Great burgers and shakes! The cardinal, chicken sandwich is delicious! Also recommend the fried pickles. They have a back patio that is great for large lunch groups.

Great little place. I had the imposible burger, which is plant based and I loved it. The fried pickles were delicious as well. My hubby had the teriyaki chicken sandwich with garlic fries, he was very pleased. Over all good food and the service was awesome, Jessica was our server and she had a smile on her face every time she came to our table. THANK YOU JESSICA!!

Had the angry cowboy burger and my girlfriend had a cheeseburger and we shared a black and white shake.

The food was good and we enjoyed it.

My complaint is the price isn't the same as the price on the google menu online. Our bill with tip came to ~$50, which was a little stiff for two burgers and a shake.

Best burger in San Mateo; and I've had burgers at just about every place in San Mateo that takes burger making seriously. The restaurant is family friendly, modern, clean, comfortable, and well lit by its lovely wall of windows. The staff is polite, attentive, and responsive. But center stage is the burgers, they are always, always, always excellent (shout-out to their fry cooks who are absolutely killin' it)! If you're feeling especially ambitious also order a shake, hand made and with high quality ice cream, they are absolutely delicious. Only downside is parking (why are their no sidewalks on that side of the El Camino?!?), the place is often packed (but the turn over is pretty quick), and pricing is a bit high but totally worth it when you just have to have a knock-out of a burger.

The price of a carbonated bevarage is extreme given the cost of its ingredients.

Jack's has one of my table turkey burgers and onion rings! Everything is always cooked to perfection! Service is always top notch as well.

Horrible customer service!!! Apparently a paid customer can t seat and wait for your food unless you are a certain persuasion. You must sit in the back of the restaurant will customers who look a certain way can wait for their food in the main floor of the restaurant. Don t patronize this place! Not cool
