Thought it would be nice as it was next to Notre Dame. Had to replace my keycard every time I went to my room. Elevator twice took 2 minutes to get up 3 flights and I thought I was stuck. Not great on the noise/cleanliness.

I had to extend a day, and called down and was told that was okay and done. Came back the next evening and was told I was supposed to be checked out. She figured it out for me and told me to check they hadn t removed my things. Fortunately cleaning hasn t come, so it was untouched.

The Ivy Court are two house like buildings amidst the Notre Dame campus. They are beautiful collegiate 'A' style structures with nice wide porches with big wooden chairs. The ceilings are even slanted in the hallways and we had a wooden beam across our room. Even though dated, everything was in like-new condition including the bathroom with a like-new tub, shower curtain, tile, flooring and toilet. Water pressure a little lacking. There was a separate area for the sink with marble countertop. The bed was firm but very comfortable. It had regular hotel pillows (too soft and airy) but the sheets smelled fresh and clean. There were heavy floor length orange drapes over heavy white out curtains on the windows. There was a kitchen area with a sink and cupboard, microwave and fridge. They use 'real' glasses in the rooms and breakfast area and real plates, bowls and silverware as well as providing paper and plastic. The breakfast had three different kinds of eggs, sausage and bacon in one steam bin and little breakfast burritos, omelets, and potatoes in the other. We happened to notice an open door where we saw a stove and frying pans and the woman actually cooking breakfast. They had toast, bagels and English muffins and a big basket of fruit on top of the bread bin. They had an iced bowl of yogurts, cereal and waffle maker. On the sill of a window, there was a cake platter with chocolate chip cookies. We ended up here because we didn't like the cost of a brand name hotel in the same area that wanted to charge us double the price for I'm sure not near as nice accommodations. This will definitely be put on our list of stays for future travel.

They are a 5 star operation with 5 star employees. They really helped me fix a mix-up that I created. Thank you. See you soon! and a special thanks to "A" the person who made it happen.

Good value on off season for location and super friendly staff, rates go up significantly from spring to late fall. Extremely close to ND campus (across the street) and very close to downtown so location can be ideal. Good food options nearby, very short drive or walk to Eddie Street Commons. The place could use some fresh paint but overall it s fairly clean and the staff is great. I ve stayed at similarly priced hotels in SB which are not as clean and in worse location; Comfort Suites University Area, Quality Inn and Suites and Candlewood. They don t have a pool which may be a drawback but they have two nice workout rooms and free breakfast of which the woman who staffs it makes pretty good breakfast burritos!

Rooms are small but clean and functional. Toilet and shower are awkwardly set up requiring some nimble movement to close the door. The a/c units are loud as is the bathroom vent fan. Not particularly pleased with the first level room with view of street particularly next to side door. No soundproofing so inconsiderate loud people walking in at 2 am tests your own manners. Breakfast was good. Though they had a very nauseating infomercial playing all morning. Might have liked it more with a view of campus. For the price on a non football weekend not bad. Staff was friendly and helpful. It's not the Inn at St. Mary's but it's close to campus and worth visiting.

Cut our 2 night stay 1 night short. I really wanted to like this place, the other reviews made me believe that I would.

Between the air conditioner making excessive noise and the compressor on the mini fridge squealing we didn't get much sleep. We had already showered and unpacked a bunch so having them move us rooms in the middle of the night didn't make sense.

I was willing to overlook the loose doorknob on the bathroom door, the broken security latch on the door, and the stains on the carpet. I was even willing to overlook the sub-par and salty breakfast. Not something you'd expect from a supposed 3-star hotel with a $100+ room rate though.

What I couldn't overlook was the condescending tone the desk clerk got with me when I told her about the issues from the night before. No attempt to remedy this situation or move us to a different room just told me there was nothing that could be done. Thus the reasoning behind our early checkout.

We will not be returning and I hope this review finds potential future patrons well.

This hotel is fantastic. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. I love the fact that they give you real plates and cups so you're not creating more waste just for a muffin and cereal.
Don't get me wrong, there is a ton more than muffins and cereal. The breakfast has fresh made eggs, no powdered eggs here, bacon or sausage, waffles, cereal tea...I could go on and on. We stayed here in July of 2018 then we came back home for Thanksgiving; still great. This is our new "home" when we come visit family.

Excellent location! Listening to the marching band of Notre Dame practice as I was checking in, very cool! Rooms are large, larger than most hotel rooms. Extra large counter with sink and huge mirror for getting ready, what a bonus!! Aurora was helpful, polite, friendly and efficient. Could not have asked for a better overall experience! Thanks Aurora !!

We had a standard king room that had plenty of space, including a refrigerator, microwave, and small sink. The building is not new, but it is well maintained, quiet, and clean. The complementary breakfast is decent and is served with real silverware and china: not the typical Styrofoam and plastic ware. Staff was helpful: we were attending an afternoon basketball game, about a 10 minute walk away, and there was no reluctance for us to leave the car in the parking lot after we checked out.

The place is clean with attentive attendants/staff. A very relaxing atmosphere especially when you want to just chill out with family, friends, or partner. I usually go this place and hit the gym without leaving the hotel.

The room was okay. The bathroom was small and the door kept hitting the toilet? And the lady at the front desk was nice to my boyfriend and was almost rude to me? Don't think I would stay there again. The breakfast buffet was very good though!

The place is very clean and very welcoming. Every staff member we came in contact with was friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and the beds were comfortable. The room next to us was a little loud but it was the weekend and they were college age kids. I did not complain to the desk but I am confident that if i had they would have handled it.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and parking was easy. Surprising were some standout aspects in an otherwise mediocre breakfast buffet: freshly fried eggs over medium and homemade salsa verde that was actually spicy.

We always stay at Ivy Court when we are in South Bend. Clean, spacious rooms and friendly staff. Super breakfast! Staff members make my eggs separately because of food allergies. We're always impressed! Highly recommend.

I was in a corner room with a great view of the sports fields. The room was wonderful. The heater, however, made varying degrees of noise all night long which woke me up hourly. The staff was friendly and I felt as though they cared that I was a guest.

Reserved a suite for AYOP competitions, after being checked in was told the room was not ready. 2 hours later it still was not ready. Check-in was 3:00pm..was told deposit would not be returned if we did not wait for room to be cleaned, beds made. Was told we could leave our bags in lobby and go to basement and watch TV! Never stay here!!!

The Ivy Court is a perfect location for Notre Dame football weekends! They have bike rentals, in case you don't want to walk through campus... and a tailgate right there in the parking lot! Awesome place.

Clean rooms, comfy bed, friendly staff and amazing breakfast. It's close proximity to Notre Dame makes it an ideal place to stay when visiting the university or for football games. Go Irish!

Very homely place with clean comfortable beds and a good dinner hall close to Notre Dame. Breakfast is complementary, but somewhat bland, for the prices and status (so one point deleted). The building is old, and some doors are squeaky, and some places a little rickety. However, overall, recommend for short stays.
