The Ivy Court are two house like buildings amidst the Notre Dame campus. They are beautiful collegiate 'A' style structures with nice wide porches with big wooden chairs. The ceilings are even slanted in the hallways and we had a wooden beam across our room. Even though dated, everything was in like-new condition including the bathroom with a like-new tub, shower curtain, tile, flooring and toilet. Water pressure a little lacking. There was a separate area for the sink with marble countertop. The bed was firm but very comfortable. It had regular hotel pillows (too soft and airy) but the sheets smelled fresh and clean. There were heavy floor length orange drapes over heavy white out curtains on the windows. There was a kitchen area with a sink and cupboard, microwave and fridge. They use 'real' glasses in the rooms and breakfast area and real plates, bowls and silverware as well as providing paper and plastic. The breakfast had three different kinds of eggs, sausage and bacon in one steam bin and little breakfast burritos, omelets, and potatoes in the other. We happened to notice an open door where we saw a stove and frying pans and the woman actually cooking breakfast. They had toast, bagels and English muffins and a big basket of fruit on top of the bread bin. They had an iced bowl of yogurts, cereal and waffle maker. On the sill of a window, there was a cake platter with chocolate chip cookies. We ended up here because we didn't like the cost of a brand name hotel in the same area that wanted to charge us double the price for I'm sure not near as nice accommodations. This will definitely be put on our list of stays for future travel.
