Venue ok, but security approach, didn't feel very secure. Checking outside before going in, and being left outside for about another 30 minutes, so anyone could pass something back to someone going in. But did confiscate people's chewing gum.

This was the first time I had ever been to the Islington Assembly Hall and it was a fantastic experience.

It was well laid out, all of the staff were actually friendly - one of the security guards actually wished me to have a good night! Unheard of these days!

It's a cute little venue with both standing and seating room. What really impressed me were the acoustics. I was at an acoustic show and the way the sound just moved through that room made it really special!

I hope more bands continue to book this venue as it's a pleasure to go there and really well located. Steps away from Angel / Highbury&Islington and loads of restaurants/bars nearby for before and after the show.

Watched the London Burlesque Festival here. Lovely venue with great decor and good atmosphere. The stage is a little high up for the people sitting downstairs though as the seating leaves you below the stage height. Drink prices are very expensive.

great

The Assembly Hall is at the more civilised end of the spectrum of music venues. The security staff are friendly, the bars have a wider selection of drinks than many, and the whole place is clean and well kept. Sound quality isn't always the greatest, but that's about all I can criticise it for.

First tine here and what a great find. Good size venue and a great sound. Bars well run but as with most venues expensive. Plenty of options nearby for drinks. Highly recommend this venue.

A large venue which has carpeted public areas and a traditional style hall with a high stage. This means for a standing gig the views are good. Sound is also very good. There is a balcony as well. Toilets are in the basement level.

The ticket for a show stated it would have started at 7pm but on our arrival we were told it would have started at 9pm. Staff was really impolite and just shrugged it off.
The venue is super small and operates a no drink policy.

An excellent music venue in North London, near to Highbury & Islington station to get to and from the location. The door staff were very polite and friendly. Inside has a large floor area with well stocked two bars either side of the stage. I believe there is seating upstairs for increased capacity. Overall a great place.

An amazing venue, accessibility is fantastic, they can't do enough for you and your needs. All the staff from admin to door are lovely and comforting. The sound quality of the room is by far some of the best atmosphere I have experienced. I can not thank them enough for making such a lovely stress free visit.

Lovely venue for a gig! Just be warned in these summer months it can get very, very hot due to lack of air conditioning! The staff were fab and handed out water so that's a plus! Also the stage is pretty high meaning that smaller people can see more than you might have imagined. Would love to come again soon!
