I have been working for iScribes since February 25, 2019. I am a military spouse and veteran. I stay at home with my kids and this job has provided me the opportunity to bring income into our family. The training is challenging and the job is not easy, but what job is truly easy? When I work, I feel like I am doing meaningful tasks versus mind-numbing key punching. The work environment is extremely positive, and although it is completely remote, the iScribes community is amazing. I look forward to staying with this company for as long as they will keep me. For a wife who has to frequently move and also has a hard-earned degree, it feels good to put my skills to use.

I went through the "virtual training" for a position with this company and the only thing I will say is you would be better off working at McDonalds! They expect you to provide $20.00/hr work for their bargain price of $8.50/hr. They should really be very ashamed of how little they are willing to pay for very complicated, challenging work. The training they provide can only loosely be called training. If you don't already have several years of experience, you can forget learning how to do what they are expecting. It is so NOT worth the headaches and stress that a job like this entails. $8.50/hr is a serious insult!

I have to agree with Pam. It is really hard work to sit and type as fast as you can for 4 hours straight. I have no idea how anyone can do this job full time. The pay is definitely too low and I feel strongly that if you have are literate, fast, and understand medical terms, you should be paid at least $12 an hour. I predict some failings in this industry and maybe they are just using us until everything goes towards dictating in recorders. So sad...
