Run down hotel as expected from other reviews. What bothered me the most was that we got a corner room so we had windows on 2 sides of the room. The flimsy blinds didn't help much blocking the outdoor light... neither the sun in the morning nor the balcony lights which were on all night long. It was just for one night, so we managed.

Very nice location and fantastic service. The facilities feel a little old and to be honest the breakfast at restaurant was not woth the money (tasted like it was canned). But overall I would recommend!

Building and room decor was very dated. The breakfast was average and the scam here is that you have to pay extra for your coffee with the breakfast. Average hotel. The only good thing is that it is close to Sandbanks and they offer a free daypass, hence saving you the parking cost.

Thank you to the staff for our perfect beach wedding. Everybody was extremely pleasant and helpful, the food was fantastic and the beach houses ...superb! All our family and guess were extremely impressed. We want to come back every year for our anniversary.

Yes a great place to visit in my case for a break from the daily routine. The food was exceptional and the atmosphere was superb.
Great facilities for all kinds of recreational activities.

The place had a really good location. Very close to sandbanks, and it has its own beach. The only issue with it was that it's really old. But this was no issue for us. We still enjoyed the place.

Got married here in 2019, beautiful venue, however, very terrible experience with staff. If you do not get them to put something in a contract they will not stay true to their word, example we were told we would be given a complimentary rooms however come week before wedding they called asking why we hadn't booked a room. There are many things that they just want their money for. They're very against you wanting to be happy as long as you sign on the dotted line they don't care about what you want. They wanted $40/bottle (15 in lcbo) for sandbanks wine, they would not do a corking fee. Our room was dated and had a bug infestation we reported that they didn't give us a room of similar value we were downgraded. I'm glad at least it was a beautiful spot to be married in but the financial manager is very unpleasant and crooked.

NEVER AGAIN

NEVER AGAIN
WORST PLACE I HAVE SLEEPED.
Green and smelly pools, half emptied. Old stained carpet in bedroom. Cardboard walls. The galleries are rotten. Vegetation grows from within the gutters.
Extremely poorly maintained, neglected. Walls warped by humidity or / and mold.
When several people at the same time use the water, the pressure becomes zero thus unable to take a shower. Wifi is not working.
This place needs serious renovations.

the restaurant is very well located, it is very nice to have dinner near the lake.

The rooms need to be renovated by cons ours (# 216) was still clean. No table or chair in the room. There is no space to sit outside.
The price of the rooms is much too high for the quality.

Visited with wedding planner with my sister for her wedding next year. We were quite pleased. She was extremely accommodating and a great listener to my sisters needs and wants. All staff we were in contact with were friendly. The beach is beautiful! We knew right away that my sister made the right choice.

GREAT value for money; We stayed in a cottage for the weekend and had a great time. They are rustic cottages (and I mean rustic) but for $250/night shared between 4 people, it was totally reasonable. The staff were friendly, the beach was great (with a beautiful view of the sandbanks in the distance) and I like that we received a free Sandbanks provincial Park pass with our weekend (even though we didn't use it). We'll be back again; you just can't beat being on the beach :)

A good friend and I took my wife out for her birthday dinner. Jenny our wonderful waitress served us a great meal and the bottle of wine included was quite an attraction as well. The price is quite affordable. All in all, we just love that restaurant. . .Serge and Judy

Location was nice, rooms were ok but they kinda smelled like an old house and the bathroom could have been better. It had stains inside the sink, and tv channels weren't good, not enough channels and they were standard definition.

The resort itself is a beautiful property. We stayed in one of the motel type rooms. Upon arrival the room smelled musty and the odour was coming from the dirty filter in the window A/C unit. I called the front desk who quickly arrived to freshen up the room with some air deodorizer, they also asked if we wanted to have the A/C filter changed. The room could use a bit of a refresher, (get rid of that carpet!) it was dated so if your the type of person that enjoys a nice decor you would be let down. But, it was very clean and for us that is all that mattered because we were there only to sleep and shower. The private beach is amazing!!! It is not open to outsiders and resort security is present to ensure the safety of its patrons at all times. The staff was friendly and courteous. We will return next year for sure but it would be nice to see the owner update the property a little bit, perhaps a cafe for morning coffee (your closest coffee run is Picton), or add some fun activities for guests to enjoy. The resort is reminiscent of the old 1950 summer escapes, so much potential.

Went there on opening weekend of stage 2 reopening (covid19) with my husband and son, found out their restaurant was closed, they had bugs in the room. I stayed for 3 nights and no one cleaned or came to empty our garbage. They never answered the phone or opened the door to the reception(i wore a mask and stood further back after knocking on the door). I called multiple times from my room and cellphone to just go straight to voicemail, so left messages and never got any calls back. was really disappointed it seemed they could have done a lot more with social distancing but chose to just close everything instead.

Stayed for a night - rooms were extremely clean and the room itself was beautiful, with a overhead fan and vaulted ceilings. The walk up to the rooms is quite dangerous I feel, with the broken down stairs and all. I m not sure if they had an elevator, as there were no signs or anything posted - but it would have been safer especially with the rain and a toddler in tow. Otherwise quite happy with the rooms and their service!

We were there for a Christmas Party. Food and service were excellent. We had a jacuzzi room. It was ok. Decor is dated. No rug at entrance so floor got wet and muddy . Being your own hair dryer the one supplied is basically useless. There are no full length mirrors and they should have another mirror at the desk for putting on make up. There isn't any room at the bathroom vanity to put your makeup. An ironing board was in the room but no iron . If you want ice get it when you check in at the front desk. Robes in the room would of been nice. Bed was comfy and lots of extra pillows.

Sold as a waterfront resort. But this applies only to a few cabins. Our room was on a second floor of what it looked like a third class love hotel. Garbage on the hallway floor that had not been picked up since our arrival and God knows how long had it been there since. We checked out next morning event thought we were staying for the long weekend since Friday. The reason being is that next day, the sun revealed the gross state of the room. Furthermore, it was clear the linens were NOT cleaned and had crusts of food stuck to the duvet... in other words.. my body touched all of that !. The other bed had coffee spills... their solution was to simply turn it upside down... this all gave me a huge COVID scared .. I booked off and will NEVER go back.

Unsanitary. Avoid at all costs. Mold.
- Mold in the bathroom.
- Old mattresses.
- Brown stains on the ceilings.
- Useless wifi; too slow even for email.
- Water dribbles very slowly from shower head; impossible to wash your hair
- Pictures nothing like advertised.
- We could hear people showering next door.
- Flooring is so old the upstairs guests woke us up every morning at 7am.
- Extremely rude staff.

We've travelled the world and this is without any doubt the worse hotel we've been too. We were charged $280 per night for a miserable room.

Yuk!

We enjoyed our stay at Isaiah Tubbs in Prince Edward County for the most part. Check in was easy, the staff was pleasant and our meal the first night was enjoyable and tasty. We went with their pasta special for the evening. There was a little mix up in the description by the waitress, but she quickly took responsibility for it and charged us a discounted price for the mix up.

We stayed in one of the Jacuzzi rooms. We found the room to be quite a tight squeeze, the bathroom small and very close to the bed. However, the Jacuzzi was used a couple of times and was the main reason why we chose the room so it worked out just fine.

We chose to stay at this particular resort because there was a discount price available for participants taking part in the Prince Edward County Gran Fondo that weekend. When offered another perk, the breakfast special , my partner decided it might be nice to take advantage of it.

Breakfast wasn t bad, the variety was good and servers pleasant. They didn t seem overly experienced, but pleasant none the less. However, when my partner received her bill, she was given the resort guest discount. Later, when she went to check out of the hotel her breakfast charge was $4.00+ what was provided at the restaurant.

The receptionist explained that a percentage of gratuity is added and then of course taxes. Therefore, she would have to pay $17.63 as opposed to the $13.51 she was billed at breakfast.

Long story short, the discounted breakfast provided by the hotel for cycle participants who could have easily stayed elsewhere, was more expensive than the original guest discount. Not a huge deal, however I believe the situation could have been handled a little more gracefully.

Rustic isn't even the word we were so excited for our romantic getaway. The room was described to be a beautiful queen suite with a jacuzzi and fireplace with walk out to the pool. When we walked into our room we were horrified it had a moldy smell as soon as we walked in the Jacuzzi was shoved in a corner of the room and was not very clean looking. The room was small and dark and the shower was in the room....weird...it was also dirty :( the bed was horrible. Looked more like a $50 a night motel not a resort for $167 a night.... I felt so bad to complain but there was no way we could stay in that room. The staff were awesome they gave us a refund. I feel bad for them because they probably have to deal with this on a daily basis :(

Our room was in desperate need of an update. For example, the paint was chipped and peeling off the doors, and the generic art on the walls was badly faded from the sun. But that's not why I am giving them a low rating. The big problem was that the room was dirty. The toilet was gross (the bowl hadn't been cleaned properly since the last customer) and there was what I assumed to be spilled, dried coffee across the top of the microwave (where the small coffee maker sits). This isn't acceptable anytime, but especially not during a pandemic! When I reported the problem to the front desk the woman just looked at me blankly and said 'okay.: That was her complete response. Not even an apology. Not recommended.

Been staying at this Resort for 10 years. Was definitely disappointed when checking out this year. Our cabin rates went up 25% from last year and upon checkout we always verbally confirmed for next year. This year they wanted to deposit and half the cabin paid for by September. Commented we were returning customers for 10 years and never had to come up with that kind of money prior to staying there. They said it was a new policy. I mentioned we've been 10-year returning customers. Didn't matter. Totally unhappy with check out. Won't be coming back after 10 years

Great site and super friendly staff but the facility is extremely shabby, and that s being generous. Our room had a bunch of really poor DIY touch ups all over, such as wallpaper crudely painted over rather than stripped. This place is in desperate need of a makeover or at the very least a good cleanup.

I just had my wedding here the Friday of the long weekend. Overall it was a great experience. Our ceremony was on the beach and because of the size of the wedding (about 30 people total) we opted for dinner in the restaurant. The food was amazing with good service.

The only cons was the coffee maker in the room. Water had been sitting in it and chunks came out. I opted not to call the front desk as being without coffee on the morning of my wedding day would have made me one helluva bridezilla. Instead I had my man of honour bring coffee to me. In hindsight although the restaurant was closed for breakfast I probably could have asked for some coffee...not something I thought of while in need of caffeine.

The groom stayed in a standard room the night before the wedding with no complaints and we shared a beach suite the following evening. I took full advantage of the jacuzzi tub and there was plenty of room to hang out with the wedding party and family over the course of the day.

Overall it was a beautiful day, very reasonably priced, and we plan on staying there again in the future.

Wonderful staff. Aaron and Maddie served us breakfast every morning and were still there at dinner..with a smile and a welcome asking us what we did that day. Two amazing young staff members that are an asset to this resort. See you in the fall.

Very simple place but by cons well equipped as hostel / hotel. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The staff is welcoming and attentive to the customer. There is access to the beach which is just behind the hotel. There is also a swimming pool. Sandbanks Provincial Park is 5 minutes' drive away. I definitely recommend this place.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a jacuzzi room, which sounded cool, but it was in the living room and surrounded by carpet... The bed was incredibly comfortable though! A very pretty resort, and close to so much of what the County has to offer.
