My mother has been in and out of a few facilities over the past several years and I can tell you Ridgecrest is honestly her favorite. Yes, there has been a great deal of turnover but that happens in all SNFs. But there are also several members of staff who have been there for 15+ years. The rehab team is wonderful! I would go back solely for them. Hate to see such negative reviews from others.

As a former patient I can tell you my personal experience with Ridgecrest Healthcare. Let me first off say that when you walk inside they have a billboard saying that it's a 5 star rated facility with a 4 star rated staff "NOT TRUE!" There are a very select amount of staff that genuinely care about the residents but that's a very small amount. The food is getting better but overall most of the time it's terrible.they do have activities to try to get the residents some type of stimulation but do to recent budget cuts the activities have been cut drastically which is a shame because most of the residents look forward to them. When I was there for my four month visit I saw a tremendous turnover in staff which the main reason for them quitting was due to the way patients wwere being treated . Theft is also a really big problem there being a victim myself .so if you plan on sending your loved one there please do your research before you do. I give Ridgecrest two out of five stars .

My mother was in many nursing homes before this one and this one was by far the best.. I have never seen a staff that cared so much. They all have an amazing amount of patience. On top of that I was not 18 at the time and my mother was in for behavior issues due to her disease.. this was the first place I was allowed to visit under 18 (I think under 16 needs to be with an adult).. they spent so much time with her and loved her till the end.. I'm so happy she spent the last of her days there. Though she would have rather been home she loved them and the attention they gave her.. thank you RidgeCrest staff.

My mom has been at Ridgecrest since November of 20...

My mom has been at Ridgecrest since November of 2018 and the care she has received has been magnificent. Her nurses and direct care staff are amazing in the way they care for mom...very attentive and caring to mom's needs and day to day living. One example is that in almost 3 years of mom living there--and mom is bed bound, she has never had a skin ulcer. I have worked 11 years in the long term care services system, so this alone is nearly unheard of! Mom is thriving and I just feel such a peace of mind knowing she is in good hands. Another recent example, mom became ill yesterday, she had a fever of 100.6 and the staff as well as the medical director were immediately responsive to her symptoms. They engaged with mom's primary care provider and right away began evaluating, doing labs, x-rays, etc. Mom was moved to the skilled nursing station of the facility where she could be isolated and began receiving treatment. Today my mom is doing so much better! I'm praying that the fever does not return but I'm at ease because I know mom is receiving excellent care. Lastly, with the COVID-19 pandemic, Ridgecrest has been stellar in handling it. They locked down in the early stages of the pandemic--ahead of when it was mandated, and have successfully been able to keep all residents safe. To this date, there has been ZERO cases of the virus at the SNF. I know this because as a family member, I am receiving updates of the status of the pandemic from the medical director. When I speak to my colleagues in the field of health care, they find this to be incredible and I couldn't agree more. Dr. Villafranca, the administrator, shows with his actions his commitment to ensuring the residents at Ridgecrest are well taken care of and that families are kept informed of any changes or developments. When I had to make the most difficult decision of my life to place mom in a nursing home, I prayed that God would lead me to the right place, and every day I confirm that He has indeed! May God bless and keep safe the staff at Ridgecrest, I truly appreciate everything they do for my mom and all of their residents.

When my loved one was near the end of his hospital...

When my loved one was near the end of his hospital stay, we met with recruiters from both Ridgecrest and Life Care Center of Paradise Valley. We were having a hard time deciding between the two, but ultimately went with LCCPV because of how nice the facility looked online and the positive reviews. BIG MISTAKE. After 5 weeks of borderline abuse in an absolutely disgusting facility, we moved him to Ridgecrest and it was the right decision. The facility is clean as a whistle. The nursing staff is very attentive. The rehab department was wonderful. Their department head, Sicily, always had him smiling and laughing through tough therapy and kept us updated on his progress along the way. There are always fun things happening around the facility like bingo, ice cream socials, and musical acts. Highly recommend.
