Had the price been lower this would be a higher review. The beach is not great but not terrible either. That goes for basically everything in the resort, including the pool, playgrounds, the rooms, etc. Almost everything is in need of an upgrade. For the price I would have expected a renovated room and more up-to-date facilities. In its current state it's a great family resort, just overpriced.

I stayed there for 2 nights . Extremely overprised. Mean, unfriendly and greed owners who are hungry for money. All workers are mody. I felt like I am not in Canada but in a developing country.
If you complain, they will simply hung up on you. Please.., guys, stay away. Dont give them your business. Very disappointed.

This is the worst hotel / resort I have stayed in so far. For the price we paid, ($ 258 / night) this is absolutely unacceptable! First, the reception is ordinary. Second, the cleanliness of the rooms is poor. Our room was gross: carpet stained and dirty, the coffee maker was not clean at all, the room smelled bad, the blankets were dirty, we had a warmer blanket more in a storage, folded badly on the floor, it was dirty and with a hair on it. The shower jet was full of limestone and other dirt, the walls were dirty, several spiders and cobwebs in the room, the fireplace remained on (a flame did not go out) it was hot and more it's a bit dangerous!
In short, the room was disgusting, not to mention the rest of the resort in need of maintenance! In addition, I had to have a room with a lake view, which I did not have ...

Girls weekend away! We stayed in a lodge suite with kitchenette and private screened in porch (great for rainy days). Resort offered a good amount of free amenities, available to everyone staying onsite. We took full advantage of these amenities and enjoyed the private beach, pool and restaurant. Overall the resort had a great atmosphere as all staff was friendly and accommodating. We can`t wait to stay again next year!

The hotel was a real disappointment and terrible value for what my wife and I got. First of all the room was very dated and there were stains on the carpet. The people above us were noisy and you could hear them talking late at night. The restaurant was a total fiasco! We went there for dinner looking forward to a pleasant evening meal and all we got were drinks. After that the waitress completely forgot about us and never came back to take our order, so we left. They were very short staffed and very disorganized. The staff in the office when we checked out were very disinterested and did not even ask if we enjoyed our stay. We will not be returning to this resort.

Only positive point of this place: it is 5 minutes by car from Sandbanks Provincial Park. It is a shabby, messy establishment, really overpriced. The customer service is very bad, the rooms are awful, smell bad. To avoid!!

Ok this place totally depends on what you are looking for. It s an ok family resort with a lot of rooms jammed onto the grounds

I would equate it to a 3* motel (I ll explain the my 2* in a minute). The location is nice on a lake just off Lake Ontario. But the resort is really tired tired looking, tired common areas, boring dining room and feeling really threadbare

Our room (a room with a 2nd loft bedroom) was really basic - Motel 6 kind of basic. Small beds, zero view (parking lot) and for north of $400 per night - overpriced. Part of the reason for the downgrade.

The major reason for the downgrade was the slightly shady interaction at the bar. We ordered two late night drinks and when we were clearing the tab I happed to notice a small (about 4-5%) charge added to the bill as a gratuity when I noticed this and asked if tips were included (no) I asked what this charge was. Ohhhh, wow, I ve never seen that before.... . Maybe.

So fine for a basic 2-3* place. We stayed there with out kids about 15 years ago and it doesn t feel like they ve done anything to the place since then.

July 29, 2020. The worst place we have booked in our life. The private beach is actually a beach made of small crushed rocks with branches and beer caps. The pool was not even open. The water was half green and all that was missing was frogs. The room was passable, but smelled really bad and was located directly in front of the septic tank. The building is in ruins, the roof needs to be redone, the brick walls are crumbling and are even dangerous for your safety. We asked to be relocated to another room as this is nothing we booked on their website (at least that's not what their photos showed). We had booked a nice room with a lake view and we were given a room with a view of the busy street and a concrete courtyard with half a pool. Do not be fooled by photos on their site taken by their photographer. Check out other reviews from REAL customers. They didn't want to relocate us or reimburse us. Poor customer service. To forbid. We finally decided to book another hotel in Kingston, a 1 hour drive away, the best decision we made of our vacation. Think about it 2 or even 3 times before you book at Isaiah. For those who see my current review, please note that this is the 2nd time that I write my negative review on this hotel, as they have manually removed my old review. That tells you a lot about the hotel in question and their service. Good luck.

Just got home from a awesome Easter dinner with the family. The clam chowder was to die for!!!! Salute to everyone for a wonderful meal! |The hard work paid off. Everything was delicious and we had a great time. What more could you ask for. Everyone give the Tubb's a chance they are getting it right. Support the local people.

Finally it is spring in the County.

We had a family vacation near Bon echo that was less than appealing so to end the trip we drove to Isaiah Tubbs resort to have room for the kids to play and use the beach. The facility was nice but the rooms were very outdated. We stayed in the inn which did have some nice charm and a tub that's much smaller than the pictures make it seem online. Anyways, the bed was comfortable but our sleep was disturbed the entire night. Around 11 pm I heard a noise and a bag move near our fridge and garbage can area. I thought for sure I saw something move and my bf took a look and said I was going crazy that there was nothing there.

At 4am we both woke up to the same noise, turned the lights on and it was obvious something was there. He went outside for a smoke and I saw a mouse run across the floor. I was completely grossed out and could not sleep for the rest of the night. We heard the noise a couple more times. When he brought it up to the front desk at check out it was as though she didn't want him to talk about it because another guest was behind and she said she would email him with regards to the situation and never did. I'm very disappointed

I would say there are many spots around the resort you can have your wedding place to whether it be near the water in the middle of a forested tree surrounded area or right next to the Pavilion aka the giant building where you have lunch and so on.

The rooms are a little bit expensive and run down but for a wedding they give you a 20% discount if people book early.

Service wasn't as good as I would have hoped they need to work on that.

I'm extremely disappointed in the quality of food and service at the Knoll restaurant. I treated my husband out on Tuesday evening for dinner and I'm very unhappy with the experience. I ordered the shrimp and scallop fettuccine and they swam in a lot of sauce. The pasta is to be lightly tossed not drowning in it. The shrimp and scallops had NO flavour at all. They were not seasoned and the scallops were dry and hard. I wasn't even offered grounded black pepper or grated cheese for it. For the appetizer we ordered the spinach dip and it too was nothing but a lot of melted cheese - barely any spinach.

The service was not good either. My husband had to ask the waitress to take my order for my drink. She ignored me through the dinner.

The seating on the veranda was also uncomfortable. Sitting on the plastic patio chairs were low for the table and hard to stay seated for a while. At least have cushions on them.

It was my very first time for dinner and I'll never go back. For the cost of the evening, I could have gone to other fine dining restaurants that charged the same price and had a much better experience. After I left, I wanted to turn around and ask for my money back! That's how bad it was.

Rooms and facility was good, but customer service

Rooms and facility was good, but customer service
was terrible especially at the restaurant. There was a bus boy (don't know his name as they wouldn't give it to us) who was throwing insults at us and the manager was shockingly in acceptance with that type of behaviour towards paying customers. Very disappointing experience and will never return here.

Everything else pretty much was fine until I found a big dent and scratch on my car that had been parked in the parking lot over night. So mad!!! And there is no way to find out who did it as there are no cameras in the area!

Do not book your wedding here during Covid. They will keep a deposit of an amount they chose. This WAS NOT in our contract and not discussed or lenient on. Dont book if you need an inch of leniency

Can't wait to have my wedding here. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is very helpful! We took a look at the rooms and I know it is going to be a fantastic place to celebrate our marriage!

The place was nice and big. The staff was friendly and my impression was pretty good at first. But it turns out only on room had heat and we had to call them to put a portable heater in the other room.the leaving room was freezing was had to put on our coats to watch TV. And we realized it wasn't that the heat was not working there was not heat installed at all in the rest of the place. Pretty disappointing even though our trip was very nice in general

Out dated rooms. Over priced for what you see online and are told over the phone. Would have never stayed here knowing the conditions I walked into. Not happy nor impressed with the "resort"

We were there for the County Marathon. Nice place with a helpful staff. They prepped a meal basket for us because we were out before the kitchen opened.

It's a long drive from home but we'd like to return.

The view of the lake from cabin 5 was exceptional, however hardly worth the $350/ night. The cabin is outdated, with poor amenities, plywood flooring and incomplete walls
and the kitchen counters were overrun with ants. The bathroom was extremely tight fitting with no counter space for toiletries. Shower facilities were unacceptable as well. The bedrooms were small with outdated bedding. Would definitely not recommend to it to anyone I know.

First time at Sandbanks and I was pleasantly surprised. We booked Isaiah Tubbs at the last minute and found everything to be quiet nice. Local restaurant was a tad pricey but with the live band and sunset in the background it was worth every penny. This place is a 5 minute drive to the parks and 15 minutes to the local towns and wineries. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was that the rooms themselves are dated and in need of some upgrades. Other than that we had a great time here and are looking to book again soon.

Average in every way. Small rooms. Run down rooms. Gross shower. Rundown common areas No ice machine even. Pool a great place to catch West Nile virus. A tennis court without a net. Felt like There had been no maintenance in years. Rude and unhelpful staff. I parked for 5 minutes next to the maintenance area in order to be closer to loading up all our suitcases in my car. I got the stink eye from a staff member who drove by on a golf cart and wagged her head side to side. If I m paying $500 for 2 night in a rundown, dated, musty hotel at least try and be nice. Small town people. No right to be charging $249 per night for this.

This is the dirtiest hotel I have been to and it was not cheap. $250 per night. We also paid extra to get a deluxe room with a jacuzzi but it was so disgusting that I was worried my kids would get an infection. The kids wanted to sleep in the car as opposed to sleeping in the room. We checked out one night early. I left a message for the manager to call back, still waiting to hear back.

Very, VERY disappointed with Isaiah Tubbs. We had a conference there for three days / two nights. We had a dozen rooms. My room was FILTHY. There were spiders in every corner, there were bugs in the tub, my feet were blck walking on the carpet wihout shoes (I wore flipflops inside). I saw other guestrooms which were also dirty. "Rustic" isn't even the word I use to describe this place. The food was all overcooked and tough. Our guests were not allowed to check in early, however, one of our franchisee's wives was asked to leave early because the next person wanted to check in early!!!! BAD FORM!!! We will never ever go back there. I am extremely disappointed, and embarrassed by this facility.

We got married here. Everyone from the wedding organizer to the front desk to the wait staff are all really nice and professional. They made our special feel warm and comfortable. I would recommend them for your wedding. Everyone was complimenting the food. I can't say enough good things about this place. We'll be back to enjoy a meal and the beautiful views of the Sandbanks.

Honestly it was ok, I think it was expensive for what you get. When we were there the pool was broken which was annoying since sandbanks beach was closed due to flooding and the beach at tubbs resort is small.
so when we woke up saw the pool was closed and then went to the beach all the chairs were taken considering they have like 15 chairs, we decided to go play tennis and guess what! That was closed too, they decided to seal the court so we couldn't do that either.

My fiance and I came to the resort as a potential wedding venue. The wedding coordinator was unfriendly, uninformative, and largely ignored my fiancee and only talked to the maid of honor. The resort itself was OK, however the altar is on the beach but is directly beside a public restaurant and cottage rooms. After the tour we had lunch at the restaurant and found the staff to be rather curt and unfriendly as well. Will not be returning.

Stayed in a lodge room. Quite spacious. Bed was nice. A little dated, but still quite good. Wifi was a bit of an issue, but nothing serious. Right near the water, and would be quite an amazing place to stay in the summer.

Came for a wedding, reception hall was very nice, staff was great and food was good. We stayed in the first residence that is close to the main road, the rooms were clean but outdated, small tv and the 2nd room did not have air conditioning

We ate at the restaurant and had the $32 prime rib at a special occasion dinner. The meat was the only part of the meal that was good. The soup tasted no better than 'no name' canned and the veggies and yorkshire pudding that came with the entree were obviously just taken out of the freezer and heated. My pudding was only cold, but another pudding at our table was still kindof frozen...

Before dinner, we took a walk on the beach which was obviously recently grated sand and gravel, which is extremely bad for the environment, turtles in particular, which just made me sad for the state of humanity.

This "food business" is obviously a relic of an age past that will sadly probably continue with its lowest-common-denominator business model for as long as the guests keep it open.

I am not opposed to paying for a nice meal, but tonight we just paid.
