I attended a "community conversation" yesterday [8-30-2018] at the Jefferson Avenue Center. That event had been sponsored by the Interfaith Association of Central Ohio [whose office is in a nearby building]; the Jefferson Avenue Center had been an ideal location for our conversation.

I had been unable to find the Jefferson Avenue Center at first because the only addresses that had been visible when I had been standing on the sidewalk looking for 65 Jefferson Ave. had been 57 Jefferson Ave. and 67 Jefferson Ave.; there had been no 65 Jefferson Ave. visible from the sidewalk.

Eventually, I decided to walk between the buildings at 57 Jefferson Ave. and 67 Jefferson Ave. and found 65 Jefferson Ave., a small building that is located at the rear of the property at 57 Jefferson Ave.

Evidently, most of the properties in that neighborhood had had "coach houses" at the rear of the property; the Jefferson Avenue Center is located in one of the few remaining "coach houses" in that neighborhood.

The Jefferson Avenue Center may not be accessible to people who use wheelchairs or have other mobility limitations. The office is up one flight of stairs; the conference room [where we had had our "community conversation"] had been down half a flight of stairs,

What a great community of nonprofits. It's a wonderful enclave of small organizations with great missions.
