ISTC is a camp booming with positivity and a home away from home for campers and counselors alike. It is loaded with activities, both conventional and unconventional to a typical sleepaway camp. Some favorite are jet skiing, campfires and rock climbing!
ISTC is a one of a kind magical experience for a camper. My son attended almost every summer from age 6 until HS graduation. He was (and still holds the record) for the youngest camper. No, six is not permitted any longer but I am very grateful that he had the opportunity. He is a college sophomore now and still speaks fondly of his first counselors. The mostly international staff come from all corners of the world and are molded into a cohesive force by the camp directors every year. Many staff return ( a considerable feat coordinating their work schedules) for as many years as they can. They are well trained, nurturing, engaging, open,professional, fun and extremely knowledgeable. Campers are encouraged to be kind and respectful with each other; to do their best; to support each other; and to try new things. All feedback and interactions are positive. All decisions and policies are made with your child's development and safety in mind. In fact, safety is a top priority. The directors are 'way ahead of you' with regard to safety. There is a well thought out plan for every contingency that is pragmatic and practiced.No parent is relaxed when the family is not under the same roof, but you can rest easier when your camper is in the arms of 'Team Green'.
Sadly, the leadership/management team has very questionable practices, specifically when it comes to hiring. Be weary.

Since 2011, ISTC has been my home and has helped me grow as a person. I started off as a camper for five summers and just recently finished my first two weeks as a staff member in July. There really is no better place to be, whether going as a camper or working there as a staff member. It's a magical experience that's hard to put into words. I have made lifelong friends that feel like family and have learned so much about myself in the past 7 years just because of this incredible place

Our kids have been going here for a week or two each summer for nearly 10 years and absolutely love it. They look forward to it all year.
Son loved it. Facilities are really nice, food was yummy, and the counselors were friendly and on top of things. Tons of planned activities but also free time each day. Definitely going back!
ISTC has changed my life. On the first day you meet a whole new group of people and by the end of the week you will be a family. I couldn't imagine my life without this camp.
ISTC is a place like no other! A sports based camp in the beautiful Pocono mountains, with exciting and fun activities for kids from 8-17 years old it is the ideal summer camp! I have spent my entire childhood at ISTC and I am so thankful I found such an amazing place to grow up!
My daughter attended here for the first time last summer and LOVED it. She is an only child and we were concerned about her being away as she was a bit timid. It was never an issue. Her counselors were lovely, loving and she felt right at home. She liked it so much that she will be going back for two weeks this summer. This is a wonderful camping experience for your child. Don't even think about it, just do it.

It is an excellent place to bring your children and spend an amazing summer, it has adequate facilities and everything you need to live the summer of your life. It is located in the middle of the forest and this is what makes it most exciting. Coaches and counselors are prepared people who are always on the lookout for children. Its dining room is set up for the comfort of all, the food is good and the pertinent care is taken regarding allergies, illnesses or restrictions as well as the different types of food.

ISTC is an incredibly well organised and friendly environment for children to spend amazing action packed summers! The facilities are second to none and the staff are of the highest quality. The incredible pictures or footage you may have seen of ISTC do not do justice to how high of a standard this summer camp is. Having witnessed first hand the lengths that the directors go to in ensuring site security, staff training and facility maintenance, I cannot recommend this establishment enough. What a place to send your kid! Just 'wow!
