International Food Bazaar Review

This one star review is for their meat department.
Last week, I went over there and purchased three pounds of beef brisket.
Opening the bag at home to prepare-knowing some fat to remove, the amount of fat from the three pounds of meat was more than a pound.
I thought most of butcher would at least remove some excessive fat from the meat to sell. If you got a wrong cut from this store, you end up with "FAT" not MEAT.
I share the pics today on my visit only to be told by their meat dept that was how the meat came. It would have been a nice customer service if he really listened and saw the pics I was presenting to him. Nope.
Most of time, I like my shopping at this place, but will I ever buy meat from this store, of course not. See the pics!

Not a typical grocery market for everyone. They mostly focus on Persian grocery options with higher than average quality. Prices are not cheap but not too expensive either.
Very crowded and hard to breath in the store as they have many many things to offer.
From good hot foods to vast range of middle eastern cheese options.

Been coming here for years now and never had any complains. Always fresh produce, meat, pastries.

Many verity and choices on everything. Prices are good and the owner, his family and all the staff working there are always very friendly and helpful!

Just wish it was little bigger and aisles were little wider to go around easier with the carts, but I don't think there is anything they can do about that.

Fresh fruit very very nice and also extremely reasonably priced maybe even cheap! However be careful what you pick sometimes it's not as fresh as it looks.
I have a lot of respect for National because they've been here forever the start off with a very small store a bodega so to speak and now on the entire shopping center that you have in front of you. It's a family-run business where the brothers and sisters are involved are and so are the mom and dad.
Exceptional Quality Foods inside from the Middle East from spices two Meats. Do not miss the restaurant inside the back by the butcher they have fresh food everyday delicious lamb excellent Persian Foods and a selection of olives that is fantastic!
If you're looking for fresh food does the place to go for all your breads fruits Meats.

They have just about everything from cheese to dates and fruits. Wonderful experience.

Places way too much merchandise outside in the parking lot. Hot days destroy what's out there, despite the good prices.

I usually come here to get my groceries and Persian food needs from here, the staff is usually very nice and always give us a pleasant experience. However, this is the second time that I go to the meat section and they young Pettit guy is so rude! He saw us waiting and continued to drink his drink and ignored us. After waiting for a while I asked him if we could get some help please and without saying hi or anything he gave us attitude and said wait a second. Then he opened and closed the cooler s door literally banged the door so hard and put the meat in front of us without saying a word. He is not doing customers any favors by helping them! He is doing his job like we all do our jobs and we should give the best experience possible! Because guess what people are gonna stop coming to your business if they are treated like they owe you something.

Wonderful array of middle-Eastern foods, good produce, butcher shop, and some prepared dishes, too. Narrow aisles, only one or two shopping carts, and parking can be a challenge. On the whole, really like this place and shop there fairly often.

Amazing international and european selection of goodies

Never liked this place. Everything we buy from it is just waiting to expire, and lacks quality. We just go here cuz this is the only place that sells middle eastern cooking items.

Excellent source for good meat (halal), spices, fruits, veggies, and other international foods...esp Persian.

In terms of variety and quality of items (especially vegetables), it's a really nice and resourceful market. Some of the imported items are overpriced though.

The aisles are extremely narrow that you will be stuck with other customers if you pick a cart instead of basket.

The staff could be more welcoming and the receipt could be more detailed/accurate.

The Turkish delights are so delicious, a bit pricey.

Nice place to buy fresh and local fruits and vegetables. Eastern delights. And many other stuff.
Fruit and vegetables prices are cheaper than you would find in a regular supermarket. But packaged food is usually more expensive.

Nice store that has all kinds of food from the Middle East. Also have kabobs for pick up. The workers are friendly and helpful.

Found what I wanted - thanks to the owner. If you are looking for any international spice, this is thr place to go. The spice I was looking for is Ras-el-Hanout.

My family has been shopping here for as long as I can remember. Not only does it offer food from "back home," but we always find something new and tasty from all different types of of cultures. They also sell fruit and vegetables, in addition to hosting a butcher shop in the side room. I love this place and will keep coming here on a regular basis.

Very good collection of produce and international food. There are quite a bit of Turkish goods here as well.

Incredible place. Produce is so fresh and there are vegetables that I never thought I'd see in North America. I always come out with a full cart of stuff and rarely, if ever, did it cost me above $100. I really wish they expand soon but maintain their quality of products and services

Super affordable produce and things you can't find anywhere else!
I went there to buy black salt after seeing the price on amazon, I wanted to see if there was a better deal if I could find it in person.
I ended up exploring the entire store and left with the black salt, a couple of star fruit, a bag of sugar cane, and a jar of tahini for only 12.75 which genuinely felt like a win.
If you're looking for a vast array of spices and less well known ingredients, come here because it was so worth it!

Amazing collection of middle Eastern, Russian and Greek foods. Loved the biscuits, jams and ice creams aisles.

One of the best markets in the South Bay that isn't a bland chain with the same generic products. They got the best meat and tasty candy.

Great variety of vegies and specialty middle eastern foods

You find products from different places, especially from the Middle East, the employees are very friendly and are attended by their owners. The store is full of products, fruits and vegetables; You can also buy delicious food to take away.

I can t say enough good things about this market. I ve been shopping here for over 20 years and they have always had they best selection of breads, produce, meats and international food and goods in the greater San Jose area.

Neat place but aisles are too narrow and parking is tight. prices are a tad high. On the other hand the place is autentica.

This shop is stacked with Mediterranean food items - spices (sumac, zaatar, oregano, thyme, basil etc), Greek cheese, pomegranate molasses, scores of Olive oil varieties...... If you are exploring med food, you must go to this place!

the worst customer service and the owner is so rude. i never gonna go there. as others mentions, i experienced racism in there. very unsatisfied

Love love love this place. They have the biggest selection of EVERYTHING! Cookies, rare fruits, desserts, candies, yogurts and they have a butcher and looks like every type of meat on the planet (lol) There's also a little prepared food counter inside with the best lamb shanks! The have an olive bar! Several different egg plants...I can go on and on...with all of the awesomeness this international market offers.

Bonus the staff is ALWAYS nice! Did I say that I loved this place?? Haha

Good place to buy Groceries locally produced and some imported items. Take away food is also interesting.

Lots of Middle Eastern goodies, not so much on the Indian food. Fresh produce, a meat counter, great selection of cheeses, dried beans, and all kinds of unique Middle Eastern specialty items

They have a wonderful butcher shop. Next to that a deli and you can get the best kabob. Delicious. And the variety of food from all over the world can be found here. If you like food and trying different things you need to come and check out the International Food Bazaar. Is a wonderful experience and there is something new down every aisle. I recommend everyone in San Jose to at least visited once because you'll go back again and again. The only problem is parking because everybody is there.

Interesting place to shop for different kind of food. I was looking for sour cherry jam, they had it.

Great grocery store for finding not only Turkish goods but lots more from middle eastern region. The best in the bay area by far.

Pretty good market with a wide selection of most Mediterranean groceries. Prices are decent, fruit selection is generally above average. They have a deli counter, but I've never bought from it. The kabob shop inside is painfully slow.

It is truly an International Food Marker !! Great selection of goods from many countries !!

I always like the grocery shopping here. Veggies are very fresh and staff are friendly.

In A Nutshell:

-The International Food Bazaar is the place to grab your Middle Eastern/Mediterranean groceries/ingredients.
-This tiny grocery store has everything you need from a wide-variety of flat breads, pickled veggies, spices & spreads plus a nice selection of frozen foods & fresh fruits.
-There is also a small restaurant co-located here that serves up some delicious kabob's in case you can't wait to get home to cook using your purchased ingredients.

Overall, you feel like you've traveled to the Middle East/Mediterranean after visiting here b/c it's that authentic.

Sometimes, some items are more expensive than should be. But overall it has fair variety number of middle eastern/Russian type of products.

I always do my grocery shopping here. Good meat and every Persian stuff you need is here.

Great place for fresh fruits. Also, nice selection of Eastern European and Middle East foods. Cheap and tasty olives.

Nice variety of items and plenty of options. However, there is a woman working here at checkout who is usually all but friendly and courteous!! She is usually frowning and wouldn't say a single word while checking out items. She wouldn't even look at the customer, unless she knows them of course, and and in that case, she would go into long, warm conversations with them. If they really expect customers to come back, they need to show at least some friendliness instead of dealing with them "as if they are buying the stuff for free".
