These people people never answer their phone...I am sure they get paid, but never answer. I have called them over 10 times...
Hi , I had a bad experience when I took my old man who is handicap and 92 , worker Julianne umeda took the case for some Questions I called her back after two weeks left several message on her voice mail she never called back , today I she called back and was very rude as I told her that ,and asked to talk to her supervisor she said ! Don t tell her lies !! Means is this the way social workers talks and put some one in fix ! Then she put me to supervisor mail box in half I was cut off .
Worst service I ever got spoke to some lady that had the case in front of her but said she couldn t help me because it was the wrong district and she started yelling at me and then clicked on me . Awful service they should be reported for being this awful to providers and recipients. This lady that I spoke with should be fired .
Agree with the pay. They make us return the sign in as soon as possible. And when it comes to mailing are checks take a long time. Definitely something has to be fix

I work here and this job and the people you meet are great.
People keep saying they can never get a hold of anyone live regarding payroll, except there's a separate number specifically made for calling the accounting number. I think everyone is very helpful and considering their individual case loads they go above and beyond.
When ou apply until the case worker take action it will be long process plus never never they call you back even if you left voicemail to the CASE WORKERS to ask about your case because thousands excusedlike she busy or with onther client it very low quality office NO and never answer the phone so I will give one even too much one star for this office

I have worked with IHSS for three years. I am very happy working as a provider and recieving the respect and benefits of working with this agency. They have a wonderful Union that always has your back and working to improve our standards, pay and benefits.

There have been many times where I do not receive my small check on time. For example, I still have not received my check and it is the first of the month and I still do not have a time card to send. There was a person who told the providers not to get behind when sending your time cards. Oh well !
I like the people I work for but it takes forever to get paid. I think that needs to be changed

First of all you have CHOICES and there are many providers. We happened to have chooses two GREAT ladies. You interview them right so you choose them.
The county needs to hire more people, they take an eternity to see you and to answer the phones!
Completed my orientation 8 weeks ago and have been trying for the last 2 weeks to get somebody on the phone to find out where my initial time sheets are can never ever get anybody on the phone
It can be difficult to navigate through the IHSS system. However each situation requires tailored attention. So once you manage your circumstance and submit all required paperwork. All will be well.
No way to make a formal complaint so I don't mind expressing it to the world. Over the course of working as a provider for IHSS I had to call and deal with this place far too many times. Every time I call they are extremely rude, impatient, and treat you like an idiot while expecting you to know everything.
Granted, they are extremely busy and have a lot of clients they "cover." But multiple times my time sheet has come late (by late I mean never sent and I have to wait a week after the day I should be sending out the time sheet to call and ask them to send it out.) I got bills and a livelihood, I can't wait a month for my paycheck and these guys do not help expedite the process or anything.
It seems like the caregiver union we have is doing a lot to address this as they won before lawmakers to get IHSS's garbage payroll system audited. Thank goodness. It takes a week to get paid when it's on time and that alone is ridiculous.
After finally getting overtime pay we providers were bombarded with mail letting us know the penalties if we made a mistake on our timesheet, yet where are your penalties for making the mistake of keeping us from getting paid? I'm guessing none, seeing as none of the employees ever give their name and there is no way to make a complaint.
Shame on this place for hiring terrible employees and keeping a terrible system.
