Intergas Boilers are unbelieve products. It's a rare thing these days to have anything built to last but these really are! 4 moving parts, no plate heat exchanger, no diverter valve, pump doesn't run on hot water so if that faults, where 99% of other combis would give you nothing, the intergas carries on giving you hot water regardless. Amazing!

Our HRE30/36 boiler failed after nearly 3 years (pcb fault). I contacted Intergas on Monday but they were unable to find an available engineer locally. The engineer who took the call was coming to within 30 miles of our location on Tuesday so he left very early (6.00) and was with us just after 9.00 and had fixed the fault before 10.00. He certainly went the "extra mile" and we are grateful. This is our second Intergas boiler having had one in our previous house for over 4 years; I gather it is still going strong.
Excellent service, the reception took model and serial number, an engineer was there in an hour, fixed the problem and checked operating parameters. First class.
After selling Combi boilers for over 30 years I can safely say this is the best there is. Most complaints if any are due to customers not following servicing and or installation guidelines. This can be a problem for many combis and trust me I have sold 1000's. The Intergas is built to last and if installed correctly will do exactly that. The heat exchanger is a unique design which is tried and tested to last 20 years plus, very few manufacturers can get any where near that. My recommendation is always follow the guidelines and have a service when required and you won't go wrong. Also get a Gas Safe fitter who comes recommended by others.
Yep. The reviews back our experience too. Sounds like a smash and grab outfit. Take the money for the boiler then its poor customer care and terrible service afterwards.
Shocking Service. Couldn't give a toss about aftercare. Those that post 5 stars clearly haven't yet suffered any issues. Buy from a reputable firm, IF you have problems you need them sorting, these cowboys wont do it.
I had a new boiler/ heating system installed August. Paid extra to have the app to control it linked to my installer as the boiler is in the roof I have limited mobility and am 78. No one told me it only works with iphones. Mine is android no response from technicians the boiler thinks we are still on BST and refuses to be over ridden manually. What a mess! Just like Maria only one star or you can't post.
Fantastic after service from the team at Intergas, even when calling ten minutes before closing, They promptly called me back and stayed on the line well after closing. They were able to quickly identify and resolve my query in minutes. As a small independent installer these are the things that really matter. Certainly make you feel like one of the family. Quality service from a quality manufacturer, Great to know they are there when you need them, Keep up the good work guys!!!!
I had an Intergas boiler fitted by an "Intergas Platinum Installer".
I had safety concerns with the installation so asked Intergas to supply an alternate fitter to check/remedy the issues at no cost to me - the original fitter was an Intergas Platinum Installer, after all.
Their reply?
"Upon receiving your email below, I am sorry to hear you have had an issue with your installation. Intergas are only a manufacture of a boiler, which we do not carry out installation of boilers in properties. A Platinum Installer recognises that a Gas Safe Engineer / Installer has attended an Intergas training day coarse to understand the products that we manufacture. Intergas do not tell an engineer / installer how to install a boiler e.g. electrics and pipework. The engineer / installer should already be competent to do this through there relevant college training, various qualifications and experience. Therefore, the installer / engineer who you arranged your contract of installation would not be employed by Intergas. The engineer / installer would either be self employed or working for a heating firm, it would be best to make contact with the relevant engineer / installer or heating firm to advise of the issues, so they can carry out the remedial work which has been mentioned. There is also no reason you are not able to contact and use another engineer / installer or firm to carry out your remedial work, however as these would be self employed people or working for a firm they would more than likely charge you, as yet again they are not employed by Intergas."
Amazing customer service - boiler had loose connections after having been fitted. Contacted intergas and despite their engineer, Colin, being fully booked for the next day, he got up earlier and had a longer day, travelling out of his way, to get the job sorted for me. So grateful for this, and it is so nice to feel valued as a customer. Could not recommend enough!
Had an Intergas RF Combi installed (which is great) but had a couple of queries flagged by plumber, so called Intergas CS and they answered quickly and professionally.
I would rather give no star. I had called up on 10th July 2014 to request a visit to get our boiler working. I was told that someone will get in touch but no one called for a week. I called your office on 4 occassion but it only rings or someone picks up and then it is transferred to an extension which only rings. Little frustrating post-sales experience. Finally you came in grumply and repaired the boiler after 4 weeks. I have been calling since 27th February (over 3 weeks now). Your recommended gas engineer installed a descaler recommended by you. Your own engineer flushed the system and then we installed a new descaler. Now you are still refusing to replace heat exchanger even after: changing boiler installation location as recommended by your engineer, Installing a new descaler and Boiler is within warranty period I have found your services very annoying. There is a precedence about your very very poor after sales services. Bottom line is we want our boiler to work and produce hot water in the warrant period. Let us know how can you help.
Sadly I have to give this company one star. We are an installer (or was) for Intergas but can no longer work with this company. This boiler is a great product and one we hoped to promote but whilst the current support is not there and the customer service continues to produce poor results then we cannot have anything else to do with this company. Maybe the owners in The Netherlands need to step in before the UK reps and marketing manager ruin the reputation of the company.
Intergas boilers have to be one if the best bits of kit in the marketplace. Great for installers and even better for customers due to less parts in the boiler and less faults to occur. I cant see paft this brand I have had no problems with any Intrrgas boiler fitted or dealing with the Area rep and the Intergas engineer.
When I moved house last year all I wanted was an Intergas boiler. Ingenious simplicity means these boilers just don't let you down and, if the pump fails, I would still get hot water too. Last October's Which? magazine report on boilers said it all really - Intergas was up there as one of the top five boilers. Sadly, the are where I now live doesn't even have mains drainage, let alone mains gas and the garden's too small for an LPG tank :-(. One day Intergas, one day.
Intergas will do to boilers what Dyson did to Hoovers. Built like a brick toilet & built to last. Not full of plastic inside. Easy to Install & service it's not surprising sales are increasing year on year. Very much an Installers choice. I have fitted well over 150 as they are an extremely versatile quite and highly specked boiler. These boilers are ready to fit the latest energy efficient OpenTherm controls (for any nurds reading.) Although service was shaky years ago for the last few years I have had same day or next day service for the very occasional break down. You wont be disapointed fitting one of these.
Very poor customer service Called today after waiting 30 minute someone answered the call, i told him wanted to book a boiler service he told me he will transfer call to another department i said ok, it was Vodafone voice mail.
Intergas Heating UK is a growing business in the UK, but growing for a reason...
Simplicity in design is the key success to the boilers Intergas make and with none of the usual components that fail or breakdown in the lifetime of the boiler, means boiler breakdowns and expensive parts are few and far between over the 20 year lifetime of this boiler.
Couple this with the fact that Intergas boilers are fully OpenTherm control compatible and can be designed to be extremely efficient in both combi boiler and system boiler modes (verses other manufacturers boilers fitted with non-OpenTherm controls). Just Google 'Intergas OpenTherm' and you will find lots of details surrounding this.
Yes, no company is perfect and the reviews I have seen on Google do not fairly reflect the hard work and efforts behind the company's recent expansion and investment in customer care (2018). The reviews certainly don't reflect the attitude or efforts of the Area Sales Manager's (who are always at the end of the phone) or the dedicated Intergas installers who love fitting these boilers for their customers.
Am I bias? Well I am ex-tools with nearly 20 years of boiler experience and we have sold Intergas boilers at our plumbing and heating trade counter and online for the last 18 months. We specifically chose Intergas to specialise in, because of the efficient boiler design and the high efficiencies they achieve for our customers when installed with OpenTherm controls.
If you are considering Worcester, Vaillant, Viessmann, Ideal or Baxi as your replacement boiler, then I suggest doing some research into the Intergas brand... Don't be blinded by review websites where technical ability or functionality of the product has not been fully explored!
So there we go... Enjoy researching the best boiler you will ever have installed! :)
Terrible after service!! I had a new boiler installed only 6 months ago and it s broken down. After reporting the problem to intergas they said they had no technicians available for a week. We accepted the delay and waited for the arranged day. When the arranged day arrived we received a phone call from the technician saying he wasn t coming and wouldn t be able to come out to us for another 6 days because he had a bad back!!!( poor bloke) When my partner contacted the customer services explaining we had been left without hot water or heating for nearly 2 weeks while looking after our young child, my partner has arthritis and myself a builder with a bad back, all they suggested is that we keep BOILING THE KETTLE
Rock solid product, incredibly versatile and adaptable to any situation. As an installer we won't install anything else purely because nothing can touch them for reliability and simplicity backed up by some serious operational capabilities when linked to advanced control systems.
Very happy with my new Intergas boiler, comes with a 10 year warranty. Very efficient and very quiet! So small compared to my last - lots more space for airing clothes. Highly recommend one of these.
As an engineer I want a boiler that will not result in call backs. In the the Intergas range of boilers I am confident I supplying the best boiler out there, endless possibilities to make this one of the most efficient range of boilers available. I have been installing these for over three years and have not yet had to attend a boiler fault. I will be installing one in my new home! Matt, Gas Safe Registered Engineer, Weybourne Services
They only get 1 star because I can't post a review without any stars! This company has the most shocking customer service I have ever experienced. After several unsatisfactory conversations with them. I resorted to commenting on their Facebook page - which did elicit a response, quickly followed by them blocking me from making further comments - I assume from this that they have no intention in resolving the complaint. They simply wish to hide the true nature of their negligence from other unsuspecting customers. Their 'registered installers' are not adequately trained or tested and there is no follow-up for installers who do not complete the work. We had an Intergas boiler installed by a registered installer but he didn't complete the commissioning report. The boiler is now breaking down after less than a year but it is not covered by the warranty because it was not commissioned. The company want to charge us to have it commissioned (which they are unable to do before the end of the warranty period - so we will then have to pay for the repairs) Don't get an Intergas boiler if you want something that you can reply on for more than 6 months and don't expect any support or sympathy from this appalling company.
