I had an Intergas boiler fitted by an "Intergas Platinum Installer".
I had safety concerns with the installation so asked Intergas to supply an alternate fitter to check/remedy the issues at no cost to me - the original fitter was an Intergas Platinum Installer, after all.
Their reply?
"Upon receiving your email below, I am sorry to hear you have had an issue with your installation.
Intergas are only a manufacture of a boiler, which we do not carry out installation of boilers in properties.
A Platinum Installer recognises that a Gas Safe Engineer / Installer has attended an Intergas training day coarse to understand the products that we manufacture.
Intergas do not tell an engineer / installer how to install a boiler e.g. electrics and pipework. The engineer / installer should already be competent to do this through there relevant college training, various qualifications and experience.
Therefore, the installer / engineer who you arranged your contract of installation would not be employed by Intergas. The engineer / installer would either be self employed or working for a heating firm, it would be best to make contact with the relevant engineer / installer or heating firm to advise of the issues, so they can carry out the remedial work which has been mentioned. There is also no reason you are not able to contact and use another engineer / installer or firm to carry out your remedial work, however as these would be self employed people or working for a firm they would more than likely charge you, as yet again they are not employed by Intergas."
