Hotel and restaurants with good reputation, built in the communist era, with the highest height at that time, placed ultra-centrally in the heart of Bucharest, near the University and the National Theater in Bucharest, in the University Square, the place where the anticommunist revolution started and the place of the anticommunist demonstrations from the 1990s

The best well known hotel in Bucharest. It was famous during comunist era, and remained the same nowdays!

The hotel is superb, exceptional staff and very warm welcome!

The location of the hotel is really good the rooms are comfortable and i really recommend trying the pool and spa

Nice hotel with nice rooms. A great view of the city. However, along very busy roads, so a lot of noise and sirens that can be heard well during the night. With doors closed it is not so bad. Air conditioning works as others also noted but moderately, but it was sufficient. Breakfast was excellent. Friendly and helpful staff.

Old an pricy. Bad experience with disapearing personal items. I cannot recomand.

The luxurious and prestigious Intercontinental is not what it used to be, but it definitely remains a valid choice if you are aiming for professional accommodation services in a great location and surrounded by activities and attractions.

Pros:

-Very kind reception clerk (did not get the name but he was not Romanian)
-Fast service at the tables
-Location (including view, surrounding area and quality of life in area)
-A somewhat important historical value of the building
-Ambient, decorations and professional environment

Cons:

-Staff could smile a tad more (not blaming it on them in this tough industry though) as they look tired/overworked.
- Broken chair in one event room (could've caused injury), a broken faucet in men's restroom and one non functioning urinal (21st floor restroom)

Famous, beautiful view! Instead, it should be renovated.

An ok hotel, nice view, well positioned and quite clean, but the furniture in the rooms is a bit old, the food is acceptable, but not bright.
The conference rooms are ok, well equipped and spacious.
However, for a 5-star hotel, the rooms are not too spacious.
Being a central area, parking is not at your discretion.
I stayed on the 17th floor and I had the impression that there is no emphasis on safety, given the height. Here I mean access to balconies and railings that are too low.

Very expensive hotel for a 5 star hotel. I also did not have heating in the room.

Very comfortable and luxury hotel and rooms. Details could be better, but it's high level in Bucharest.

We attended the Christmas brunch in the corso restaurant which was fantastic with a large variety of very tasty food....from carvery to trafittradi to seafood . Live music and fantastic service by valli!

I was happy with the service offered, correct and fast check-in and check-out.

I really enjoyed staying there , exterior of the hotel looks really old , but interior is really clean and very nicely refurbished and renovated , and great view of bucharest i had from the higher floors
Also dont forget to visit the pool and jaccuzzi top top floors , sit in the jaccuzzi and enjoy the view

Great view of Bucharest from top floors, they have very respectful & friendly staff, SPA service is professional, and also they have safest parking area even if you dont stay at hotel. Definitely best hotel in Bucharest!

Every time we have tickets to the National Theater, before the play, we stop for a coffee in the bar in the hotel lobby, the warm and cosmopolitan atmosphere and the exceptional coffee. Try it too, you will surely like it.

Excelent breakfast. The rooms are clean and quite nice. The view is really fantastic.

overstated; a small spa on the 22nd floor, ok services but not international class, rooms okay but so. Prices as in Bucharest, unjustified by high.

The BEST place to host Events, either you are private or corporate. The staff is very very nice and ready to help you any time. They are always kind and flexible. I DEFINETLY RECCOMAND this place!

Nice hotel in the middle of Bucharest. Very near to the pedestrian area. Lovely breakfast. Friendly staff. However, it needs refurbishment.

Terrible service. Old and ugly decor. Club lounge is a joke. Honestly just the worst experience.

Huge lobby bar with fantastic leather couch everywhere!

They charged me twice the consumption of the bar. I had to claim the change !!!! They still need filming with foreign tourism. Very slow
