Very good hotel In a central area next to the opera, the excellent executive lounge very good variety and taste of food and the view is great. The breakfast is one of the best I've had the egg season is great and the machine for fresh juices is a special touch. The only complaint is the dry and short-lived staff (except for the lounge staff) but I think that is how Romanians are mostly.

Hotel Select with an impeccable service and a very diversified and well-thoughtful breakfast. A night at the hotel is very expensive (600 lei room and 80 lei parking per day - the cheapest room). The hotel is unprotected (for example, at the entrance to my room there was a broken rag and debris on the door and in the room, at the balcony door there was a wooden board that looked bad.

Thanks to Giammarco and to all the staff of this fantastic Hotel. You have made a simple weekend in a dream. All perfect. From the lobby to the 22nd floor everything is very neat, clean and welcoming. A dream welcome with strawberries and champagne !!! The large and clean room with a fantastic view to the 11th floor !! Bucharest seen from above is magical! If I close my eyes and imagine the 22imo up view, it's worth it !! Staying here is an honor! Congratulations.

We didn't stay but took refuge here when Mummy Debra was having bad sensory overload attack. They helped us with various things, and even gave us a free drink and snacks. This was September 2019.

Huge Prices (a coffee 5 euros, a burger 22 euros) for a communist relic. The green & gold combination inside is ''the best''. Full of wanna be business man negotiating the latest ''deal'' that most likely never happens. Better stick with Radisson or Marriott, at least there you pay for quality and design. However the location is unbeatable.

This is not a 5 star hotel. The front desk staff Emilia was very rude upon check out. We are 2 partners who travel together. We asked her to split the final invoice evenly using both our credit cards. We travel international frequently and never had a problem with asking this. The TV remote didn't work in our room and I had to ask 4 times before getting a different one. The coffee pot in the room didn't work and leaked all over the place. Our wake up call was 30 minutes late. When we pointed this out the staff person lied and said he tried calling our room several times but no one answered. This was a lie. We stayed 2 nights and after the first night they changed the locks and we had to go all the way back down to lobby for new keys. We will NOT be staying here again.

It's still ok, but it's got some gaps, that's why we've written down for more. Has some rooms with furniture, the old carpet. Air conditioning support is broken. The restaurant has an Italian chef, which is self-paced with the diversity of dishes, and what it is is not of the highest quality.
At breakfast they have some good products, but they have brought some cheap and foolish cirnci, bad rooms, parizer ?! Totally uninspired! Is that the idea of the same chef, stupid?
Recepient weak in preparation, unspoken, unobtrusive. Closed, far too sobriety! Sons and wages I heard were miserable!

One of the city landmarks very close to the university square of Bucharest. Very good breakfast and an amazing view from its terrace to the city. As I read is not part of the intercontinental company but still a nice place to stay when in Bucharest. Typical building architecture from the communist era. Very close to piata romana and to the metro station university. A must see when in Bucharest.

Very luxurious hotel in the center of Bucharest. The rooms are furnished to a high quality, spacious and have a very nice view of the city.
On the 22nd floor there is a spa area with pool, jacuzzi, sauna and fitness area.
The service was very good and everything went smoothly from check in to check out.
We enjoyed our stay here and can only recommend this hotel!

There was a swimming pool.

Comfortable beds and soft pillows ensured I got a great sleep. Perfect location for wandering into the old town, or catching a metro train to explore further. Breakfast was the best I has in Romania, particularly the fresh honey and pastries. Helpful concierge who will help arrange visits to places like the Parliament building, which require a booking.

The hotel is really fantastic, from the outside you can see the beauty of the structure that has become a reference for the place. The rooms are super nice, clean, comfortable and the staff is friendly.

The hotel has a beautiful lobby and friendly staff. Although my stop was only 11 hours the overall experience was good.
The room was clean and had a good bed which did have a dent in it. There was a TV, refrigerator, air-conditioning, two seats and a balcony. The bathroom had a natural stone floor and walls and a single basin, a shower in the bath and a toilet. There were also complimentary shampoo, soap, conditioner etc.
Breakfast was fine with fresh fruit, cereal, freshly made omelet, toast, croissants and several toppings for the bread. I did not use the swimming pool or gym.
The location is near the old city centre, but nice and central to go everywhere by taxi or public transport.

Excellent service level and very helpful staff. The hotel has seen quite a few sunrises, but is still well maintained. The club lounge is nice, with a good selection of food and drinks in the afternoon. I know where I'll be staying next time I'm in town. Great stay.

Originating from the early 70s, this 5 star hotel stands for many decades as the tallest building in Bucharest. As a matter of fact, was the only Western architectural influence accepted by dictator Ceausescu during his reign in Romania. Even nowadays stands as one of the most important hotels in Bucharest, even though the quality of services and amenities are a bit old-fashioned!

Very good position, great view, Modigliani restaurant is very good! The Club InterContinental Lounge is a must, is always available, nice food, diversifying, Great ambience and views and flexible! We had guests in Lounge for like 2 hours and no additional charge! The car rental Avis on the ground floor is so professional and so uncomplicated compared with others!
