Great location to the plaza. Disappointed with the room. Seems old and tired. Needs new paint, carpet and bathrooms. For the price, wasn't impressed. Tub did not drain during a shower so you're stuck in standing water. Had another guest keep smoking cigarettes on the patio even though hotel is supposed to be no smoking.

Checked twice with the front desk about combining my two separate one night reservations for for same style room into one. Still had housekeeping try to just walk in and say they had no info we were there another night. Thank goodness we were in the room at the time and not out to lunch. Had to speak to front desk a third time and one of the girls I spoke with the day before stood there silently while I was told the information was not passed on from the previous day. Had to have our room cards reset but we were able to stay in the same room and not have to switch and move.

Spa is a bit pricey compared to others I have been to. Did not book a massage since it was more that double what I usually pay for resort massages. Our previous stay at another hotel proved to be much more enjoyable. Not sure I would return to this hotel.

Not gonna lie. Expectations were high for this 4-Star Heritage hotel in the heart of Santa Fe. Honestly, the experience was lukewarm. Given the room rate and its market positioning, I'm gonna have to say I was slightly let down. First, the positives. The check-in process was smooth, courteous and had a personal touch with the concierge-esque messaging service. They were ready and happy to accommodate your requests. The location was excellent. Less than 5 mins walk from the Plaza and next to Loretto Chapel. A cathedral bell chimes every 15 mins but don't worry - 9 pm is the last ring for the night. The front porch is picturesque; looks good any time of the day/evening. There is enough parking within the campus itself. Now, factors that belied the experience. I felt the property is a touch superficial. The exterior looks great but inside...felt lacking; hollow. The layout was confusing and a bit random. The corridors stretched forever. The room felt smaller than the pictures and not as "heritagy". The patio opens to an average-at-best view of garages. The bed was comfortable but we found a couple of long hair strands on the bedding. The bathroom was okay (nothing grand). While there was a fridge, there was no microwave. I bring this up because food options (for now, at least) are limited. The associated Luminaria restaurant has rather sporadic operating hours and serves dinner only 3 days in the week. (Breakfast there sucks btw.) There are enough restaurants at the Plaza or down Canyon Rd - BUT - they are in limited capacity and close early. For these circumstances, a microwave in your room becomes important. Didn't have a chance to try their spa. What I'd suggest is checking out some of the other properties for your night stay. You can always visit this one for the pictures or the spa. I just feel the hotel is relying too much on the "4-Star Heritage Hotel" tag to attract customers rather than offering a product that is consistently aligned with your expectations.

Really beautiful setting, super easy parking, central to everything, decent rooms. The staff wasn't the most knowledgeable but they were nice. The bathrooms were definitely dated but a good size.

The hotel is a great value for the money. The e-bike rental place, shops, and dinner spot were awesome to have so close by. I definitely recommend this spot.

First night. I will admit that my kids were running around unsupervised so Killed it and put the kids in the room and told them to stay there with babysitter. Yet the security guard decided to approach a friend of mine and make him aware of my kids running around over 2 hrs ago. They had been playing, at the time, in their room on IPads. I approach him upset and ask why something that happened 2 hrs ago was relevant at that point and he tells me, Calm down Dog! Take a step back!

Of course I did not like his frame of reference so I angrily explained that I am not his DOG and that I truly do not appreciate the reference. Even though he had just said it, he immediately denied it! But when I went inside he tells me, Hey I understand where you are coming from.

I try to understand a level of pretentiousness and I just can t. We have a funeral on Monday otherwise we would leave. I have no intentions of ever returning. Not sure why he felt this comfortable with me.. yes, I am black. Never the less this is truly unacceptable.

We loved our romantic stay at the lovely Inn at Loretto. Location and ambience couldn't have been more wonderful. Enjoyed making new friends in the Living Room and by the pool. Staff is beyond helpful. This will be our go to place in Santa Fe!

Love this hotel the most of the 3 Heritage properties. New Mexico vibe, and modern. Didn't like paying for parking tho'. Had a small balcony looking over pool area and mountains. Very nice. Reception staff provided great recommendations and helped find a phonr charger to use when mine stopped working.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff is top notch. The location is super convenient to everything in historic downtown Santa Fe and Canyon Road. I had one of the best massages I've had from Linda at the spa. We stayed in a Vista King room that had a very large patio attached it it, which was great. Definitely would return!

A couple items for improvement:
-Bathroom (shower/tub specifically) needs to be updated. Definitely below the quality of what I'd expect from a hotel of this caliber. The tub is old and small, and has a shower curtain instead of a glass enclosure. This becomes an issue because the shower curtains used are heavy and opaque, but the only light in the room is outside the shower. This results in a very dark shower! The drain in our tub also was super slow.
-When charging something to the room, staff should always ask for room number AND name. We were only ever asked for room number. When we went to check out, there was a charge to our room that was definitely not ours. Although the front desk staff checking us out was nice enough and got it resolved for us, we spent some time going back and forth - her insisting that the receipt said our room number and name (though it wasn't a signed one, it was just a bar slip) and me insisting that it couldn't have been ours. Making sure staff asks for the name on the room in addition to the number would help prevent these types of accidental (or not accidental, depending on if someone was just trying to get some free drinks!) room charges.
