Everyone is really nice and the more time you spend with the agency, the more experience you get with the acting industry and I think that s really great.

The classes are very helpful and have made me more comfortable with acting in front of an audience in a small space.

I'll say this as a person working as a model & actor in the industry, Images from what I can tell seems more bent on making money off their talent in a very unconventional way. They make their talent pay for photographers and acting coaches that work for them. I've heard $2,500 for acting classes at Images. For $2,500 you could pay for "4" or "5" different semester base acting courses at your local university, college, or community college. Yes, a head shot is good to have, but it's not a make or break within the st. louis market. Now-a-days most casting departments ask the talent to send current digitals, because they are the most truthful medium in representing the persons natural look. As far as head shots are concerned a legitimate agency may suggest photographers for you, but ultimately it is YOUR DECISION who you want to have do your head shots. Their isn't any special in getting a good headshot; just as long as it is a clear, precise representation of how you currently look, then that's all you need.
I remember going to one of Images open-calls years ago, and they told me that they liked my head shot, but that the background color was wrong and wanted me to redo it with their person. They didn't realize that I had a background in digital-editing, so I told them that I could change the color to what they preferred. They still persisted that I get new head shots, and that I do it with their person. It became evident to me that they get a portion of the money from their photographer.
The agency I'm currently with did not pressure me to take any classes, or go see a specific photographer for my updated shots. I enrolled in a semester based acting course called "Acting in front of the Camera" that only cost me $250, and gave me 12 weeks of acting and auditioning practice in front of the camera. They also provided head shots from a professional photographer, talent resume building, demo work, guest-speakers from seasoned actors, etc. I have three commercials airing right now, as well as a print ad.
I encourage anyone looking to get into the industry to do their due diligence when it comes to finding an agent. This is a up-and-down industry, so make sure you have REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS when coming into it. Don't think that the second you sign with an agency that you will be booked as the next Progressive Spokesperson. Make sure that the agent DOES NOT require you to pay for anything you deem unnecessary. The business, especially the commercial acting side is straight-forward. If you have the right look that a casting director is searching for, then they'll ask you to audition. Casting directors won't ask to know what acting classes you took, especially if they are just looking to book extras on a job.

Our son has been with JRP & Images Agency for several years now. During
our time with JRP, they have been fostering our son's self-esteem and
increasing his motivation for acting, modeling, debating, speaking in
public, making choices, accepting changes and taking criticism well
without any anxiety. He has learned how to take constructive criticism,
accept it and consider the valid part of it. Likewise, Images Agency has
been urging our son to pursue his dreams, by sculpting his personality to
bring out his skills. It has had a long-lasting profound impact on our
son.

I would love to quote my son's status on Facebook "JRP influenced my young
life immensely, and steered it in the right direction. Not to mention the
extreme happiness when auditioning, getting a call back and receiving the
payment check later."

We beyond a doubt believe that JRP & Images Agency are virtually limitless
in their capacity to touch lives.

Not worth it. Feel like they just charged me $400 and I never seen my sons pictures nowhere , not on their Instagram page , nowhere. Very upset the way they do their business. Not recommend. They just taking your money and basically that's it . Not sure yet where else to complain about it ...
Don't waste your time and money , go somewhere else. Very unprofessional agency.

I loved the staff when I went back in 2014. I got the call back when I auditioned. Unfortunately I did not have the money at the time so I have been saving up to come back on my 18th birthday by myself. I love the staff and everyone is so nice and caring I really like the environment that I was in. I can t wait to come back and audition in August 2019.

I really liked staff. The environment is nice as well. The staff is straight forward about what they're company is about and what the benefits and draw backs are. I was so glad to get a called back, but I cannot afford the classes I they wanted me to take so I had to decline. But once I have the money to pay for those classes I'll try out again next year.

Be careful, you can actually get jobs from this but things such as their classes are bad. I went here 2014 & took the overpriced classes. I never felt we did anything I could not do at home. I had my photos taken by a photographer,it went well but once again was quite expensive. I also remember they tried to convince us to got to showcases & competions which would go into the thousands of dollars to participate in . It seemed like they were more worried about getting your money in other ways that taking a % of your modeling/acting pay. They only got me 1 job(modeling). It paid well but not enough to cover what was invested.

My daughter has been signed with Images Agency for a year and a half now. We are VERY happy with the classes, auditions and the way they run things. They are very well organized and follow through on whatever is promised!

My kids have been with Images Agency for several years. The classes are great training and confidence building opportunities. The kids have been in several movies and were told that they were trained very well, not only to act, but also on how to take instructions, behave on sets, and work with Directors and crews. One of my daughter's recent films has won numerous awards in film festivals throughout the US. Thank you Images Agency!

Hi, I was wondering how the business worked. My name is Gwendolyn Major. I was recently considering going into the modeling business and went onto google and looked for Agencies in my area. I came across Images, so I checked reviews and noticed a lot of negative feedback. But your ratings are rather good. I was just wondering what HAS to be paid for and what options I pay for. I wanted to know if I had to pay for your photographer's, headshots, and things like that? Or would I just be represented by your agency? Are classes available, and do I have to pay for them? As well as, a right off the back fee? Will it be necessary for me to pay a fee just to join youre agency? If I could please contact someone that would be fantastic. Thank You, Gwen.

Honestly I didn t know what to expect going to in my audition. I met with Tracey. Not only is she personable but she s also realistic. Not once did I feel like I didn t trust her or the company. During my registration I was stressed out because I had to bring my one year old daughter ( you know how kids can be when the attention isn t on them ) but she was so willing to hold her and made me AND my daughter feel so at home. I know I m in good hand and like another review said.. you get out of it what you give.
Thank you Tracey!

SCAM ! a total waste of 450 dollars. The communication is HORRIBLE! my daughter has been to over seven "shoots" at the agency and I have yet to hear back from anyone. They make a lot of promises they can't keep !

I have an Audition Monday Aug 8th, glad i read these comments before i decided to go there.
The Negative out weighs the positive comments. If i have to pay $450 to get a gig it is a scam. Thanks for the post.

This place is a scam! It fails to set people up for success. They provide services that are way too expensive and tricked people into believing that they always need more help. Many people I know have gotten robbed by this place and if I hadn t left when I did, I would have been too. Do not work with these people!!!

I went in for an audition and I got a call back! Unfortunately my family didn't have enough money at the time so we had to turn down the offer. Tracy was the agent I auditioned for and she was so nice and made me feel comfortable although I was very nervous. Thank you Images for the 'experience' although it was only one 'make or break' appointment I feel that it boosted my self confidence in the acting world!

I am excited for an audition, but after reading some of the reviews I am a tad worried. My family does not have alot of money.. If its really $425, I do not think I will be able to be a model after all :(

I have been working with Images Agency for over a year now, and each time I have been given an assignment, aka a job, I have always been paid. I 'm thankful to Nancy, and the Images staff, for their time and energies spent in trying to find me work. I could go on and on about my wonderful experiences... thank you Images!

I came for my first modeling audition. Came from Kansas City to St. Louis. It was a great experience especially this being my first time. Unfortunately I didn t get a call back from the director which is totally fine. I called her and left a message to get some type of feedback so I can carry it on for the next audition so I can fully scone prepared. No call back... I couldn t even get a call to tell me some pointers but I guess they dnt do that either which is fine... but don t act like your interested when you really wasn t. Thanks for the opportunity though I know it s more great agencies that will tell me the truth

Images staff is like family to us. It is a lifetime representation and the classes are amazing. My daughter learned so much from Nick's instruction. We attending that Industry Network in L.A. this past January and Images did AMAZING with lots of awards and callbacks. We also had a one on one consultation afterwards regarding our call backs, long term goals and how far we want to pursue in this industry. It isnt easy. Its a lot of hard work and commitment. Definitely not for everyone. But I will give them 10 stars if I can. They definitely take care of you. I am saddened that people say this is a scam. It definitely is not. Expect to pay for good pictures, the time invested and money for good classes and training. How many people can book a job for film or commercial modeling knowing what to do for the first time?? They make sure they provide casting directors the best of the best. 5 star for images. They provide u with everything u need to know in this industry.

Really knowledgeable and friendly staff, great teachers and ample opportunities provided to get your foot in the door. Really clean place and relaxing environment as well, I love it here!

A lot of negative reviews come from people who don't realize that even though you have an agency, you still need to put in initiative and put the work in. Not everything will be handed to you just because you're working with an Agency, but its a really great place to start.

A lot of people also tend to overestimate their own abilities, I've found the classes to be extremely helpful. I'm quite the beginner and the classes have proven to be extremely helpful and I learn something new every time. I see it as an opportunity to improve my craft and learn something from industry professionals. Even if you don't necessarily need them, those are still hours that go into practice and making you a better actor/model.

Phenomenal place.

Agencies do not normally insist you pay exorbitant rates to see only Thur photographer, attend their workshops, etc. The standard practice is for an agency to take a percentage of your pay. Anything above and beyond is a scam. Considering their only response to this knowledge being shared is, "we've been around a while. We can't be a scam or unethical!" You can see what type of place they are.

Took our daughter in for an open call and received a call back expressing interest. Friendly staff; we worked with Tracey and she was wonderful. Downfall is that you have to pay $300 for one look photo session so they have a photo to upload to their site for clients to view. They offer a payment plan, which is nice, but it would be great if it was more affordable to get started since they keep 20% of income the model makes.

Was extremely excited about my daughter getting a call back so fast after my online submission. But I can't afford to pay a few hundred dollars for headshots when my cousin who is a professional photographer can do them for much cheaper. Beyond disappointed, and this makes me not want to pursue modeling for my baby girl any further.

They called me bout a week ago for me to come in tomorrow. Im excited but after reading these reviews I'm kinda worried there going to do the same thing to me. I don't have that kinda money to spend on something that will probably get me no where. I've wanted to be a model for so long and I get this phone call and I got my hopes up before lookong at the reviews! what to do what to do!?!?!?! :/

Scam.

Scam.
A legit agency NEVER has you pay upfront.
Wish I would have known that sooner

This place is super good and friendly, and I got the call saying they accepted me. I have had my dream of becoming and actress or professional model/dancer forever but I finally had the chance to achieve it here when you accepted me. Thx so much. But the bad news is that my parents had to turn it down because its so pricy. It's like 2000 bucks, at least what the lady recommended for me . This is probably what you guys need too in order to pay for everything, unless that's something else. But everything was going well until the prices.

This place is a scam! Please take my advice and stay away from Images Agency. I wanted to like this place because I thought my dreams were going to come true as an actress and model but they will eat your money! When I went to an audition, they tell you to call them at a certain time the next day to see if you made it. If a manager (that's what they called themselves) wanted you then they would contact you. I was also rushed out the backdoor so I wouldn't tell anyone about it. The shadiest thing was that I had to pay about $3,000 and they would promise to help you get jobs. I have never gotten a phone call so I stopped going. I had to drive 3 hours every weekend (that is how committed I was to Images Agency). Finally I got a phone call one day from Sharon (one of the owners) offered me a job to sell and give samples of nail polishes at Walgreens! That is ridiculous! If I wanted to work in retail I would've applied for a job at the mall or just at Walgreens! I went ahead and took that offer (since I was free that weekend fri, sat, and sun hoping that offer would lead me to something bigger). It was a cold winter and I couldn't make it on one of the days (Saturday) because the weather was so bad and couldn't drive in the icy snow. I called Sharon to tell her what was going on and instead of caring and understanding for my safety, she said "I'm gonna kill you" From that day on, I gave up on Images Agency and no longer have respect for any of the careless staff. PLEASE do research and investigate a place before you spend thousands of dollars, because a "manager" should never charge you if they really want you. You pay the manager WHEN they get you a job.

I haven t been at images for that long of a time , and I already have gotten to do a commercial and got a part of the Netflix unsolved mysteries reboot. I m just an average guy , and if someone like me can get these opportunities than you really should give it a try if you have always wanted to do this . I was skeptical before I went in for the first time , but I was blown away at how fun the staff is and how much fun the acting classes were . I will be a part of images for as long as they will have me. It s one of the best things I ve ever decided to do . If you think that it s just a place that wants your money and doesn t try for you , that s 100 percent wrong. Everyone there is fantastic . If you always had a dream to do this , give it a shot, I guarantee you won t be disappointed.

My son has been with Images for almost 2 years. I can honestly say that without their constant help and wealth of knowledge, his dream of becoming an actor would still just be a dream (Prior to posting this review, I was packing for us to head back out to LA for Episodic season. This will be his third trip out to LA for a casting season which NEVER would have happened without the help and guidance from all the amazing people that are Images Agency.) He has ALWAYS been paid for the jobs he has done and never has it ever been an issue on whether or not the check has "bounced". Sharon, Stacy, Tracy, Donya, Nancy & Pat...you ladies are amazing. Thank you so much for making his dreams so reachable and supporting us on this adventure.

I cannot speak highly enough about this place... the staff is absolutely wonderful! I have been working with them for about six years now, and their classes are amazing. They set you up for success, and really push you to work hard and achieve your dreams. You have be committed in order to pursue acting/ modeling, which sometimes means not getting the job first try. Patience is key in this field, and I know for a fact that these auditions are not scams . Images has really helped me grow not just in acting, but as a person. Not only that, but they genuinely care about you and make sure that you have a wonderful experience. Love these guys!!

They are a scam they get you to pay for pictures than they take so many kids send out casting emails to pretend like you are getting something I met with a few moms afterwards and we took numbers to see if anyone would get a call back nobody did this agency is my biggest regret but when my daughter make it big I will make sure I make it known to the world about this angency and I have a alot of other moms that will be coming to do bad reviews also

I love the team, they are very organized and professional especially during this pandemic. My daughter, Zara is 5 and she has learned soo much from the workshops. I get a grade and pointers after each one so we know what to work on. Consistency, patience and dedication is key in this field of work. I look forward to seeing what the future brings for my little one. I m glad she has this agency preparing her for greatness.

Traci was my agent. Yes you pay for some things like classes or headshots but it's to help get you through. I got a call back in 2013 but I had gotten into some trouble. I would love to get back with them if they would have me. But they are amazing.

I was very excited to become a Plus Model with this company ... Until I got the call back and went in to speak with the consultant and was told of all the prices I NEEDED TO PAY FOR THINGS. I was told from many different agencies that I have spoken with that if a company "wants you THEY will pay"

PLUS these reviews really made me not want to move forward

SCAM SCAM SCAM is all I have to say. I can only imagine that all these good reviews are a fluke or completely fake because this company is not helping anyone. First off as any REAL model will tell you..when you get into modeling they should pay you..not the other way around.
I went to an audition that my friends told me would be a good idea. I went in and everyone had to do a private session. They approved me right on the spot and as Jacob said they sent me right out the back so I couldn't converse with anyone about making it. I didn't think it was weird at first. Once I was signed I had to pay a $450 fee for a portfolio. I was very weary about signing and paying so much BUT she assured me over and over that it was a good investment and all the jobs I will get will make up for it. Guess how many jobs they called me about over the year I was signed.....ONE! Not to mention they wanted me to drive 4 hours away just for an interview. Im not saying you dont have to work hard for what you want..but come on. Some peoples dreams are in this...and they don't care..

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! They just accept every person that is some what good looking, takes their money, and sends them on their way with nothing in return..
Like I said if you really want to model go somewhere they DON'T charge you. Thats the only way it will be legit. Good luck to anyone and everyone.

I've been a model with images for over 5 years now, & I have to say that Nancy, Sharon, Stacy & all of the staff there are very fun & great to work with. They are always calling me with auditions to go on, or job opportunities for me to consider.

I have encouraged many of my friends to join Images, because they have seen my work in print & on TV, and asked how I got into it. It's not my full time job, just something fun I do when I can, & they also understand that & are usually able to offer items that work with my schedule.

I would recommend Images St. Louis to any prospective client looking for talent & talent looking for work in the STL Area.

We just went to an open casting to see if our baby was model worthy. From the beginning both my boyfriend and I had an uneasy feeling about the establishment. As the "sales pitch" presentation went on, it seemed that the agency was really focused on not wasting anyones time by showing interest in your child if they didn't think your child was marketable. We then went into a separate room with our baby and did a 3 minute meeting. Instead of waiting to let us know if they were interested, like they said in their presentation was normal practice, we received an immediate yes. We were then suppose to go out a back door which would not allow the remaining parents and children see us or talk to us. Well, this rubbed me the wrong way because it was below freezing that day and she wanted to push us out the door immediately to get the next family in. I hadn't even put my 6 month old in her car seat yet! So, we said we needed to use the restroom and went out into that waiting area anyway. As soon as I left, I had the feeling like everyone that day was going to get a yes or a call back. I immediately came home and looked at reviews and in my initial search found only bad reviews, THANK YOU. We will not be purchasing their head shot package which I then found out isn't even necessary for my daughters age group. Good luck to those who are still going to get in with this agency!

We went to an audition. They took their time with us and explained everything to us. We knew everything up front. We asked questions and they took the time to answer every one of them. I took 3 teen children in. They did call us back the following Monday and offered all three of them. They did say there is some investment in taking the modeling/acting classes but we were not required to take them. But that I should think about only putting my daughter Alyssa in until we saw how things worked and see if we were satisfied before putting the boys in but they were welcome to start now but that was her suggestion. My daughter does a lot of pageants and with everything there is always some expense. There is way more expense in doing the pageants than their modeling/acting classes and by seeing her self esteem and her personality compared to my older children that never did any of this everything has been well worth it. We do plan to do the modeling/acting classes and if you never get a job from it then the experience and self esteem they gain from it is well worth it. She stands up and speaks in public and it doesn't matter if it is one person or five hundred. She is not afraid in public and has done so much public speaking. I am sure these classes will just add to her confidence as well. As far as some people mentioning in their review that they were rushed out the back door. I don't feel as we were. They took their time with us and if they had sent us back out the way we came in we would be going in front of people trying to watch a movie about the agency and that I feel would have been disrupting. Besides what would you talk about they are watching a movie and you would be just passing through. We plan to pursue this with Images Agency and later also put the boys in. I know it would be great for their self esteem. Thank you
