Il Cielo offers an incredibly beautiful and picturesque atmosphere, a delicious menu, a highly attentive staff, and desserts that would make a diabetic sing.

I visit this place a lot since I work in the area. I must say their customer service is always awesome and they keep the place neat regularly. Pricing is fair and they serve large portions.

The mussels were delicious. The roasted garlic, the horizon, the white wine reduction. It all worked together to create a perfect tapas. The French bread provided a perfect substance to soak up the delicious base of liquid in the bowl. Every single mussel was open and ready to pull out.

Come for romance, stay for the food! Boyfriend and I came on a causal week day ignorant of the fact it's regarded as Los Angeles' top rated romantic restaurant. And boy does it ever! We dined on their patio area and the cozy decor was apparent right away. A large white canopy helps ward off too much sunlight, succulent trees lining the patio create privacy, and the tremendous service will make you swoon. Our waiter was kind enough to give a private tour of the restaurant after our delicious meal.

My boyfriend learned long ago that good food is the key to my heart. I ordered the Risotto con Frutti di Mare (arborio rice and various seafood) and the boyfriend chose the Prix Fixe Lunch option. The lunch special is $25 (excluding drinks) and offers a choice of soup or salad and one entree. He tried the Zuppa De Lenticchie (lentil soup with mint and baby squid) which ended up being consumed by the both of us. For his entree, he chose the Pesce Del Giorno (grilled/bread crusted fish with zucchini puree and a fennel and orange salad). The fish entree was ordinary, nothing to be amazed about. My risotto was marvelous and the various seafood all tasted fresh.

Here's where everything got super romantic. After our entrees were cleared, I was surprised with the most beautiful and delicious dessert (see review for picture). A heart shaped flourless chocolate cake layered with dark chocolate mousse and fresh raspberries "Cuore Di Cioccolata." The presentation of the dessert is breathtaking and you can personalize it with a fresh rose and loving message to your significant other.

Day or evening, lunch or romantic dinner....this is a one of kind restaurant sure to sweep your loved one's off their feet.

Great atmosphere, great wait staff, and great Italian food. I had the pesto pasta and it was the best I've had!

The meals and services are very romantic, elegant, warm and tidy. The open-air outdoor dinner time has romantic candlelight. We have eaten lamb chops and chicken. The taste is very delicious. It has never been in Taiwan. Taste the delicious ~ See the nearby tables are full of celebrations and appointments, online positioning can choose the reason for celebration, the restaurant will arrange special arrangements and desserts, the service is very good and intimate

We came to II Cielo to celebrate our anniversary. This is a romantic spot with nice outside patio seating. It is a very cozy spot. The food was great and same with service. The reason I gave the resultant a three stars is because sitting in the patio area you are sitting about 10 feet away from the street. For a romantic spot all I kept hearing was cara driving by and honking horns.

To be fair, I don t really go to LA for Italian food. But when I was here, I was underwhelmed.

This is a magical place. Its like you have gone through a portal and entered a wonderland. The ambience is perfect. The service is fantastic and the Food feels like it was made with Love. Definitely a romantic place and one of the loveliest restaurants in Los Angeles and specifically Beverly hills.

Came for brunch in their beautiful garden setting. The berry pancakes and pasta in clam sauce were both good, but we asked for the eggs benedict with smoked salmon, only the salmon was overly salty and it did not resemble any benedict we have ever tried.

Also, being from the East coast and having visited Italy numerous times, when ordering a Sambuca in any Italian restaurant, it should come to the table with 3 espresso beans floating in the glass. These were missing. But all in all it was good and we will come back and try dinner one evening.

Crossover with Italian but Spanish and Greek dishes. The service is good, but it is quite expensive. Especially when you get in shape with wine ...
And if you make a mistake, men should not go alone. It is excellent if the atmosphere is enjoyed by the couple slowly.

Very romantic ambience! The staff was warm and welcoming greeting us with respect and a smile with every interaction. The food was excellent as well. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection!!! Def check this place out if you can!!!

Nice Restaurant with good food and friendly service

Came here for a friend's wedding. The staff was super attentive to all the guest. I went with my wife and New born (~1 month old) and the staff accommodated us whenever needed. The owner even gave us a little outfit for my little guy with the restaurant logo. It came in handy as we forgot his hat and the roof was opened for the reception. Beautiful place and friendly staff.

We had a wonderful 30th wedding anniversary at Il Cielo. They took great care of us and we ate and drunk far too much. If I remember, I will attach a picture of the special dessert they made for us... after the Dom Perignon, a glass of Grappa completed a perfect evening.
Don't feel like you have to have an antipasta, a salad and a main course... it is far too much!

Antonio was the best server. We had wonderful food, wine and atmosphere. Very romantic, wouldn't know you were right on S Santa Monica. We'd recommend the Paparadeli .

I was there for a private event and everything was lovely. The space was wonderful, however when people started talking at different tables it did get loud. The food was tasty and the wait service was attentive. I'm looking forward to going back

Delicious Italian homemade food ... What a rarity in Los Angeles in America

This is one of my most favorite little coffee shops in the valley. Super chill, good music, deliciously simple food (that is thankfully not overpriced for being in Scottsdale) and has an excellent variety of drinks. The owners and staff are always really nice and down to earth.

Truly a Mediterranean experience brought to California. Great staff and service.

My husband took me here for my birthday and the food and service was top notch!!! And the flourless chocolate cake was fantastic! They even put flower petals on our table and candles! The servers were great!!!

Usually very good, stay away from the Valentine's day preset dinner. It's way over priced and doesn't measure up to their normal menu. I left feeling like I'd given them a special evening.

I ve never experienced such a shallow service until I came here. Me and my boyfriend came in for a belated Valentine s Day celebration and instead of a nice relaxed service our server rushed us with our order, ignored us 8 times, and talked up another table with a more expensive bottle of wine. Once we asked to speak the manager that s when our server gave us a different tone and started trying to take care of us and gave us a sorry excuse as to why he couldn t give us a dessert menu or even give us our dessert that we purchased. If you re going there for the food, don t try the food lacked flavor and taste, I d get more flavor from a meal at Olive Garden.

This place impressed me since the moment I found it googling a place to celebrate a wedding anniversary. I looked no further, and I was right. The place impressed me even more in person and it made our day an unforgettable day. The server was an actual Italian and the food was real Italian. So delicious food and lovely place; most beautiful restaurant I ve ever been to in my life. I highly recommend it for special occasions !!

Elegant interior and great food. We came here with the recommendation that this is one of the most romantic restaurant to go in LA. We did our study beforehand, and also with expectation to explore Il Cielo's famous collection of Italian wine. We had a bottle of Italian red - Cabreo. The wine tastes strong, close to cab. We had the Il Tonno as appetizer. I had the Aragosta del Cielo (Lobster pasta) while my husband had the Costata di Manzo (ribeye) - both delicious! The service was really great, I especially appreciated the sommelier's patience when helping us choose the wine. His name is Nikko. We will definitely come back again.

We had are company Christmas party here and it was wonderful and delicious

Wonderful staff and still continues to hold a perfect ambiance. We enjoyed the prefixe menu and decided to take the dessert to enjoy at home. A 30+ year LA staple that is a must for all that are able to visit.

Extremely unprofessional mediocre place. They have the audacity to discriminate against young kids and do not except guests under the age of six.

Went to the Christmas Eve dinner to watch the carolers. Service is good, sometimes a little clumsy, and food is generally good with some weak spots. Lobster-truffle pasta was excellent.

I never had the chance to go to the restaurant but I was emailing the GM for about a month planning my boyfriends 21st birthday. He was kind and tried to help us as best as he could. I will definitely be going when We re back in Cali. Perfect customer service. Great people

I've been coming here for over 15 years. The food is always delicious and I always get a welcoming hug. I don't know how they remember everyones name but it's so welcoming. This place never disappoints. If you want the best Thai food in town in a very nice setting. This is the place.

Yesterday, me and my 2 long time friends came here to eat and to reconnect each other and I must say I'm impress with place and specially with the food we ordered! We will definitely come here more often.

My dad worked here as a Chef he would take me as a child on our own private date..even Pascuale the Owner n Patricia his wife n 2 beautiful daughters made me feel as part of the family, the food the decor the vibe is amazing n incredible. . Its perfect for any date or any occasion... I am here 3 times a month just lov it.. romantic for sure every time.. .

Went with some friends on Sunday night a couple weeks ago when restaurants re opened for dine in and really contemplated on writing this.

For the price and what you re served, the food is mediocre at best. I got the filet mignon which was cooked at the correct temperature but the mashed potatoes were bland, and the only other veg is blanched spinach which doesn t even taste good either. For 60$ I ve had better appetizer and main course at Drago Centro to be honest.

The drinks are like 18$, and they re so cheaply presented. I ordered an old fashioned thinking it ll be done properly and instead I got my drink in its glass with soda ice cubes and a giant orange wedge on the rim like if I was having a blue moon or something. Part of spending 18$ for a beverage is on the presentation.

The server only showed up to take our order and to ask if we wanted another round of drinks. He never again showed up.

And finally it was 5 of us and we were automatically charged 20% on the bill even though nowhere on the menu did it state that gratuity was automatically included. I don t mind tipping but our server didn t deserve that 20%. All in all, the food was mediocre, bland, overpriced, the presentation was cheap and the server was negligent. Not worth it at all.

I like this restaurant. My friend used to work at the synagogue down the street and suggested that we try this place out. We went last week. I remembered that a few years ago my parents friends had a engagement party there. They rented out the restaurant for a brunch event. I didn't remember the food that much but the place is cute. The 2nd time I went (with my friend) I was impressed with the food. I got the mushroom ravioli. Very good dish. I enjoyed it a lot.

The food was absolutely delicious, the ambiance was very romantic, the service was great, i absolutely have no complaints about this restaurant, a friend of mine absolutely loves this restaurant, so he decided to take me there for my birthday, and I must say that it was a wonderful choice, Everything was amazing.

This was more than I expected. We had to wait about 15 min past our reservation, and because of that, was seated at the best, most romantic seat outside terrace. The food was beautifully prepared, and tasted even better. Service was happy, detailed, and very accommodating. We will be going there for years to come!
