All criticism is grumbling at a high level! Sure you can improve the little things in the equipment (e.g. large coffee cups), but overall it's nice and I'll definitely be back! The view is unique and you have the feeling of being separate and undisturbed. A particular plus, the entire staff is very, very friendly.

Nice well-kept hotel. The rooms are clean and the view from 12th floor, for example, very nice. The rooms are a bit older, especially the bathroom and the balcony. The staff are very nice.
Have a star deducted, because the bar in the hotel the drinks with syrup instead of real juice mixes on the one hand does not taste and is of course a quality drawback. The staff was keen but not very qualified and smoking in this type of conservatory is not so pleasant for non smokers that is the same problem in the restaurant

Surely the exterior is a matter of taste. The view from this area is so great. The Balkonbalistrade can be deferred so that you can watch from the bed on the Baltic Sea. The rooms are clean and well furnished. There is nothing missing. The beach is right in front of you. You can make great holidays with dogs here, as the dog beach is very dense and great to reach. We always like to come out of season.

Very nice apartments and hotel rooms at a reasonable price. The leisure activities are fine, even if there is still room for improvement. Very close to the beach with various bars. The staff are all friendly and accommodating.

Unfortunately I have to forgive a star. The hotel is really an impertinence. On arrival I had a bed sheet with brown spots, as I complained about this was a fresh bed sheet pressed into my hand, I can relate myself .... I did not know if I should laugh or cry. I have not even experienced anything like this in hotels with less than 3 stars! If you want to eat in the evening in the Hotel Windrose, you should make reservations, otherwise you will be fed up with the words that you can sit outside in front of the restaurant into the Vitarium to eat. At the current temperatures you can do that with jacket and scarf. If a reservation is needed to eat warm inside, you should somehow be told that as a guest. Although I find this situation in itself unprofessional. We will not be back and I highly recommend a stay. I like other IFA locations very well, but here only the location is nice, nothing more.

Nice place for an Easter vacation, but totally overcrowded in summer. Better to go there in spring or autumn. Then it is not so crowded and very pleasant. Parking spaces are only available for a fee, some are so small that a mid-range car won't fit on them

Especially the Vitarium, the huge "winter garden", which connects the three monument protected skyscrapers, has done it to us. Here you can stroll in any weather, relax and enjoy the immediate vicinity of the sea.

Although you can not complain about the price, the apartments are not really built for the cold seasons. We were there in March and it has been properly cleaned through the leaky windows and the floor in the entrance area and bathroom is designed with ultra-cold tiles, the heating in the bathroom is only for about 1 hour, must be re-activated afterwards, so better slippers have along!
Otherwise, but almost everything there, what you need in einf apartment, internet is missing unfortunately. Close proximity to the beach, not far from the castle on Fehmarn, where there are many interesting recreational activities

I was now 1 week on vacation in the area house Vitamar. We had a 1 room apartment with an anteroom where there was a bed. Yes, it was getting old but I still felt comfortable and it was all there needed (except Wi-Fi which was not working in the back rooms but we were on the beach). The hotel also offers a lot for children (partly for a fee but you're on vacation ;-P) as Tischminigolf, table tennis, billiards, a covered playground, children's entertainment, 2 hours daily admission to the leisure pool and a game rental. In addition many bars and restaurants (in terms of price and food for everyone). The location on the beach is perfect! I think price-performance fits !! I would go back.

Great location right on the Baltic Sea beach. From the hotel you have a super wide view over the lake. The rooms and apartments are super clean. The staff is very nice. Breakfast buffet is rich. The dishes are freshly prepared and are delicious.

We have been there many times and can only say that it is ideal for relaxing and relaxing. The direct location on the beach and promenade is just great. Not to mention the great view of the high-rise buildings over the Baltic Sea. Nevertheless, we prefer the Vitamar house, from which we had a very nice view of the sea on the upper floor. There were two of us in one of the larger apartments (up to 6 people). Everything was very neat (furniture, etc.) and nice and spacious.
Hidden "corners" should be examined a little more by the external cleaning company, but things like that are also found in other holiday domiciles.

This time we only booked the accommodation, as we didn t get along very well with the selection of the evening buffet last time. (This in turn harbors the risk of not being able to get a seat in the restaurant on the weekend, as buses often stop here even in the low and off season)
Regarding the restaurant, the breakfast buffet is great and everyone should find something here.
The menu is "clear", but there is actually something for everyone.
I would like to highlight the lamb fillet and rump steak, which were perhaps a tack too far fried, but the way they were served was really great. The service was also good (unobtrusive, but always there if you had a request)
That the prices are a bit higher should be understandable to everyone. On the one hand, we wouldn't do it differently ourselves (location and demand determine the price) on the other hand, a summer season is not too long to be able to cover costs with "dumping prices".

All in all, I can only recommend the complex for a relaxing holiday and I assume that the apartments installed here will certainly be renovated gradually.
We will definitely come back again.

A IFA Hotels are always worth a visit. But you can tell that it is just too big and this of course suffers the quality of the room after a certain time. Here, the operators should slowly lend a hand (not properly dense windows, broken windowsills, broken tiles in the bathroom, the cleaning behind the beds left to be desired.). So dear IFA team is doing what your customers continue to come to you.

The little spiders on the balcony are quite normal for the area, so I always have them with me. The hotel can't help it. I net is clearly overloaded but no cause for alarm, because the essential thing is the sea. The pizzeria in the house in nice but that's about it. Would have liked to show the cook how to make a carbonara, etc. Pizzas were ok, but really the pasta, people take a cooking class or change chefs, the guy can't cook Italian! Go further behind to the beach bar, they cook fresh and know that no cream belongs in a carbonara. The staff from the hotel is very nice.

We were warmly welcomed at the reception. The food at the IFA is very good, as is the service. For this five stars xxxxx. The apartment we moved into was therefore less good. The elevator stank of hydraulic oil, you had the impression that you were in the VW plant in hall 1 (press shop) in the basement. The apartment is very old-fashioned from the furniture and gathered what must have gone at home. A very small TV does not make the eye shine. In the bathroom, the parking spaces and holders for towels etc. are very small. There were only two of us in the apartment and that was difficult. Unthinkable for four people. Upon arrival both dessert lamps were broken. Fortunately, there was a replacement at the reception. In the bathroom, the electric fan heater installed directly opposite the toilet was very uncomfortable, to which the switch was broken. At the kitchen sink there was no plug to wash off. To the kitchen itself there is a lot, but you can look for salt and sugar. A helmet would not have been bad for the extractor hood on which you regularly hit your head. For the bed, unfortunately, only a normal slatted frame was not adjustable. In any case, we are not moving back to the apartment in 59.

The location right on the south beach deserves 5 stars! ... but unfortunately it also stops.

We were guests of the IFA for almost 2 weeks.
At first glance, it is a nice holiday center, on closer inspection you get the impression that only the superficial is the bare minimum to attract customers.

I think the rooms are absolutely okay. Everything is a bit dated, the furniture is "ancient", but it is so far clean and the bare minimum is available. (Depends on what you expect, we are not very demanding!)

I find it sad that you are offered nothing for the price.
The whole hotel is full of lovelessness and thrift, especially the guest, who is often perceived as disturbing.

The food was catastrophic, the staff are mostly completely unprofessional (this does not mean the younger staff) and the food of the two restaurants were a shame. (Except for the nice breakfast buffet).
Furthermore, I would like to emphasize: We are absolutely not demanding!

Everywhere lacked friendliness and goodwill.
You can tell that the IFA can afford not a good service, sometimes even outrageous with very simple friendly questions. (For example, if the mailbox in the hotel is emptied regularly, because he hangs something hidden and postcard looked out)

The staff seemed incredibly stressed and overwhelmed (which of course is absolutely understandable, if a lot is going on), but the frustration on the guest out.
Maybe it will be done chaotic on the spot as well ?!

There are two stars for the location, the passable hotel room and for the staff of the front desk, the (unfortunately the only) thoroughly friendly.

A super nice island only to be recommended but the sidewalks at the disabled parking lots should be level at any point so that could get out without difficulty. Unfortunately they are not my cousin had to drive across the street so she could drive to the car.

The location is of course beautiful with sea views.
However, the rooms with the furniture are very ugly and very old.
It needs to be renovated.

We were 2 years ago at the IFA and have made einf mother child cure there are the rooms very nice, great designed there we felt comfortable.
In the IFA hotel, on the other hand, we unfortunately can not feel comfortable with these unrenovated rooms, it is also too expensive for this location.
3 stars only because of the location and sea view

Beautiful view, no Wi-Fi

Beautiful view, no Wi-Fi
For a short break we came to Fehmarn for 5 days and moved into our accommodation in the house Vitamar. The 4-person apartment was fine, but not modern. Unfortunately, there was no door in one of the tight rooms, here you should perhaps think of a sliding door or a curtain. The kitchen is adequately equipped, even if you would like the domestic dishwasher and an oven. The best part of the apartment is the living room and shared room with excellent views of the Baltic Sea, a cozy table with hatch to the kitchen.
What unfortunately did not work, was the WLAN. For some optional, for us self-employed basic to be able to edit orders while on vacation. The very first evening we called the very polite front desk to communicate this fact, they pointed out that the weather was bad and it was due to it. On the second day they told us that it was the Spanish parent company on which this hotel depends. On the third day we were told that a technician would come to deal with the problem. Today is the last day before we left and we were told that they were powerless and the Wi-Fi would be free (in our opinion, we pay for it). A technician would probably come tomorrow ... after we left.
Nevertheless, Fehmarn is a wonderful holiday destination, which is absolutely recommendable!

+ For a longer stay, I recommend an apartment in Haus Vitamar
+ Very nice view of the Baltic Sea
+ Very quiet area
+ Parking space directly at the house
+ Separate bedroom
+ Plenty of closet space
+ New flat screen TV
+ Free WIFI
- Overall, the interior of the rooms is slightly worn and out of date
- Mass processing in the restaurant, nevertheless friendly service
- Lovelessly designed outdoor facilities
- very boring in the evenings, as it is not located in downtown Burger
+ Nevertheless, the advantages outweigh the rest
+ Especially with a longer stay or bad weather, an apartment at the IFA is bigger than just sitting in a hotel room

We were here for the first time as a couple with our dog and are thrilled. The apartment with two rooms, balcony and sea view was fantastic. The staff are very friendly and professional. Hard to beat for an autumn holiday. Very quiet. The apartment was in good condition and pleasant. We will book again.

the location of the hotel with large balconies always overlooking the beach is optimal. The rooms are well cut, the living room is large, bathroom is small but perfectly adequate with shower, bedroom with two narrow separate beds and large closet o.k. In the hallway there is even a small kitchenette with sink and fridge, kettle and coffee maker.

The three skyscrapers may require some getting used to, but the whole complex with arcades, dining rooms, restaurants and small shops are well thought out by the architect. Even the furniture seems to be designed in a uniform design. Breakfast buffet and dinner, each with a warm meat and fish dishes and other cold dishes and various desserts were fully satisfactory.

The hotel was clean, towels were, if you put them on the floor, changed. Only the carpet should be renewed.

A beach hotel, very old, which did not bother us much. The first disappointment was right at the beginning when we learned that we were not staying in one of the three main buildings but in a flat outhouse with youth hostel rooms. Cleanliness was just in the window area and the large curtains left a lot to be desired, an infinite number of spiders. The breakfast was ok but every day the same, for 14 euros you would have hoped for more. Price performance is not given here!

Vacation rental marina with dog

Vacation rental marina with dog
Per
+ very friendly staff
+ Cleanliness is important to the hotel
+ Proximity to the perfect beach
+ great dining options (Resurant,
Snack bar, bistro, stalls, cafe)
+ very nice marina within walking distance
Proximity
+ Dog friendly
Contra
- Room situation with dog
- mattresses very uncomfortable
The check-in was very friendly, with a very competent lady with short blonde hair. We had to wait a bit for the room (but we were MUCH too early). This was not a problem for us with the great hotel complex, the many nice seating options. We then went to the hotel snack bar Mache. This is highly recommended. You can sit outside or in the winter garden. I had expected much more expensive prices for food and drink. If the prices are normal and fair, people will come too.
In the immediate vicinity in front of / next to the hotel there is everything you need. Supermarket, ATM, bakery, fish sandwich stand, crepes stand, souvenir shops, quarkeria, fruit / vegetable stand.
Our dog was allowed to be on a leash in the winter garden (including souvenir shops) or everywhere on the promenade.
If you have an apartment at the marina, your own parking space is automatically assigned, which is very practical!
Dogs are allowed in the rooms at the marina. We found our apartment very, very clean and well-kept. Of course the furniture is old, but clean and well-kept.
In the small kitchen everything is really available: crockery, bowls, pots, pans, cutlery, cups, glasses, coffee maker, kettle, vacuum cleaner, balcony furniture are also there.
The only thing that was a thorn in our side were the mattresses. These are not high quality, you sleep really badly. The springs crack with every movement.
Maybe new mattresses?
Or toppers on the mattresses would certainly be enough.
A good night's sleep is simply important on vacation and half the battle.
Getting up with tension and back pain is okay in a youth hostel, but not in a 3 star hotel.
Dear hotel, please think about it carefully.
And tell the cleaning staff that the vacuum cleaner bags have to be changed. There, when vacuuming, more dust is extracted than it is sucking in dust.
And when I vacuumed the room, it still smelled like old stink from the vacuum cleaner for an hour afterwards.
The location at the marina is a matter of taste, in the main season I thought it was great. However, it is a long way to walk to the dog beach. Even early in the morning in the sun.
Alternatively, you can drive to the Ifa in front of the car and park there. From there you walk another 10 minutes to the dog beach.
Take a stroll at the marina in the evening, sit down and watch the sunset simply fantastic.
We felt very comfortable. Now comes another personal matter.
I think it's a shame that people with dogs hardly have a chance to stay in the main house. There are only "dog rooms" in 1 building on the first 4 floors. Many of them have the winter garden in front of the balcony. So you might have the fantastic sea view from the 4th floor. But to get hold of a room there has to be real luck. Somehow a shame. I absolutely understand that there must be rooms without dog contact for allergy sufferers.
For us the next vacation would only come into question in the main house because of the proximity to the dog beach, and we would like to sit in the winter garden in the evening to play / drink etc.
I also ask the hotel to think again constructively whether the rooms in the main building are sufficient with a dog.
And dog owners would also like to have nice rooms and not just the lowest ones. If rooms had been available, we would have booked the next vacation in November and next year in summer. We keep getting in touch and hope that the next vacation will work out.
Thank you dear Ifa team for a great vacation
