Nice apartment with a view of the Baltic Sea. The interior bathroom in poor condition of quality and cleanliness.

The hotel:
We booked a hotel room for 2 nights. When booking was the image of the hotel towers, also we could specify that we would like to take a top floor, if available. What we did not know and could not infer from the booking was that this hotel not only the towers, but also small hotel building, right next door. In the house "Vitamar" we were accommodated. Arrival was according to the Internet only from 17:00 h - this I have to say that this is a no-go for a hotel. We were at 10:00 h on the spot and wanted to sign up at least once. We did not want to enter the room, but we needed the Ostseekarte, a few flyers etc. We then got another room, which we could enter directly - with parking lot view. The parking lot is very big. The room had a small bathroom (the shower really was very small and cramped), as well as a shower curtain, which I find personally very unhygienic. Also includes a 2-person couch, a dining table with chairs, a TV, free Wi-Fi, a small kitchenette with fridge and a double bed. The building itself has its own swimming pool (not very big, but it is enough) and only the residents can use this.

Large complex with apartments. If you do not need luxury, you can spend some nice days there.

70 years of building style but always good even in winter with the swimming pool next to it !!

Worse than it usually the refrigerator in the room was a freezer cabinet worked very badly

The hotel and holiday center is getting on in years and the rooms have only been partially renovated in our 2 room apartment only the pantry kitchen. The room in Berlin's house on the 2nd floor, room 1, is not recommended, as we are woken up here every morning at 5 a.m. by the fan blower, which continues into the night. In hot weather, the outdoor air conditioning units also run.
Stay: 14 days 21.07. -04.08.2019
We are a family with two young children.

Conclusion for us: not recommendable!

We did not know that a location request (no fan blower noise) would come into question when booking and we did not receive any information on a room with this feature in the booking confirmation.

You don't have to go to Malle, the Ergolungswett here is very large. You don't have to starve or die of thirst here, we've been here 15 times.

Is a bit dated. To experience wine. If you want to be especially quiet, you should come here!

So far everything Tutti ... huge area, great apartments, great view from the 11th from the balcony directly on the south beach.

Our room is in the marina, quite far from the action, but very quiet. The apartment I would not book a second time, because she is very accustomed, old-fashioned and uncomfortable. There is no oven or dishwasher in the kitchen. The bathroom is tiny and without windows. The carpet is grubby and the curtains look bad. The bed is nice clean and comfortable, we could sleep well in it. Wi-Fi is good, but unfortunately unencrypted.

The IFA got a bit old. Broken sink. Shower with curtain and separate beds, which you can not put together, as it is possible in many hotels. But you are rewarded with cleanliness, a cozy sitting area and a very well-equipped kitchenette. The absolute hammer is the view from the balcony on the beach and on the Baltic Sea, the whole from the 13th floor, unfortunately cool . For one night it was okay, we can not imagine anything more. Very sad ...... Because the staff at the front desk are super nice and the breakfast in the restaurant Windrose is endlessly delicious, varied and even with gummy bears, marshmallows, cakes, etc ... etc. Coffee on the table, attentive service staff, very comfortable and ... and ... and

Just terrible. We had for three people a "2-room room" in the tower 1. Sheets were only for two people ....
The staff were rude and arrogant.
The room is completely run down and in need of renovation.
Far too expensive for the quality!

The nicest thing about the hotel is the view. The lady at the reception probably had her days or does not like her job. As soon as I got out of the elevator, the disgusting smell of the garbage pits reached me. The bathroom was not really clean and is getting old.
The breakfast buffet was very versatile. Something for everyone. 1 star for the view and one for the food!

To visit from about 2 years ago, there are new TV (flat / HDMI / USB / cards) and also new armchair and sofa. Cozy and noble in leather look.

Absolute top location right on the water! The decor is a bit old, but well maintained and clean! The mattress in the bed absolute top class, have never slept in a hotel so good! The staff is very nice, friendly and hard-working! Definitely worth the trip!

Very well-kept hotel, good food, friendly staff, great location. Even if the buildings are a bit old, everything is in good condition and it is a special atmosphere to spend a holiday in an Arne Jacobsen building. The view is definitely the highlight. And the location, of course. We would love to come back!

The many e-mails for quoting and corrections cost a lot of sweat at home. We would have been a regular customer in the computer and it would have been easy to know which house and floor we prefer.

We were at IFA for Easter, here is my summary. For the cheap room price (66 euros for a 1-room apartment) you can't expect a chic, modern apartment. But it could have been cleaner in the rooms. The entire area made a well-kept impression and is very child-friendly. We booked breakfast in the main building with it, but for 15 euros per person we would have expected a lot more (the price should definitely be adjusted, or the selection and quality of the food should be added a shovel). For 15 euros I expect real scrambled eggs from eggs and no mixed mass from the package.
You could tell that we were on the West Baltic Sea, the staff is not that friendly and arrogant.
We will not apologize for wrongly brought drinks.
When it comes to the courtesy and the care of the guests, the West Germans can still learn from the East Germans.

An absolute architectural stain. The three concrete structures deface the landscape. These are visually in a very bad condition from the outside. The covered promenade could use a little refreshment. I can not say anything about the state of mind. But I do not know who likes to spend his holidays in such blocks.

Unfortunately the food did not convince my family at all. It was better.

We had a super-equipped room in the Vitamar house. It was clean and absolutely quiet. Check in & check out was very quick and uncomplicated.
The way from the apartment to the sandy beach is exactly 45 seconds, more is not possible. We are completely satisfied and look forward to coming back soon.

70s hotel. Food was not great either. Who does not have high standards, feels safe there well. It was nothing for us ...

Hotel rooms are spacious .. Unfortunately, the bathroom fixtures are already very worn .. look so unhygienic .. There is no shower .. only bathtubs .. Here is the entry for older or handicapped people way too difficult / too high ..! .. The Double beds only have a width of 80cm each ..
Lifts very small .. too little for such a large hotel .. Great that there is a kitchenette in every room ..

We have been coming here for 25 years, always friendly and courteous.

We were 3 nights spontaneous short break here. I am thrilled and will definitely be back !!! Clean area, good food and mega super friendly staff. Absolutely child-friendly. The only thing that I found totally disappointing was the weather but nobody can do anything xD on the day of departure the sun finally came out. Fantastic on the 10th floor with a sea view. D

The hotel room was quite ok. The dinner and breakfast buffet was there. One was measured, but some dishes were less good.

After spending a year at the IFA Hotels as a child, I finally wanted to show my family Fehmarn. Everything was great, the staff very accommodating. Gastronomy absolutely sufficient.
Unfortunately the apartment was very dirty, especially the windows ... cobwebs ... dishes were dirty .... a shame. Since my wife didn't want to complain, we cleaned it first ... Not a nice start to the holiday ...

The hotel is very well located, with very good views and very good service. The food and breakfast buffet very good. It is ideal for families with children since it has some facilities for them.

Sau sau saustall. Cobwebs, dust on all visible surfaces. Balcony can not be used because of the many mosquitoes. The lack of the front desk could not be fixed due to the supposedly fully booked hotel. We are not fussy at all, but I only experienced something like that abroad. From us ... Thumb lowered very low. As a tip, here you should book rooms from the 5th Floor, as the hotel stalls obstruct the view to the sea. A difference to the "land view" and the "sea view" is in my opinion not, as there are no windows to the land side ...
So much money for a "pigsty" ... not next time with us again.

We are accommodated in an apartment belonging to the hotel about 75m from the Baltic Sea, which is very impressive. That's the one star.

The second star earned the hotel with the really extremely friendly staff, who allowed a rebooking the day before and are otherwise very friendly.

Now for the bad part of the review:

On the one hand, the apartment is furnished in a rather old-fashioned way, then there is the price that is too high out of season, despite the sea view.
It is quite dirty here and the equipment in the galley kitchen is below average or poor.

The attached pictures should speak for themselves.

The toilet flushes the big business only after the water has been standing several times - the water is then up to the edge - in the toilet bowl.

The last thing to say about the shower tray is that its functionality is completely inadequate. The water pressure is virtually non-existent and the water temperature bobs from cold to slightly more than lukewarm.

Good day, is the dog allowed in the apartment and when I go down to dinner? We have a small dog (6kg).

Price performance I find absolutely Ok.

It was also positive that the beach was not as crowded as you can hear it from the other beaches on the Baltic and North Sea. A very nice beach! We were there for the 4th time and recommend it 100%!

Good hotel with beautiful view, the equipment is a bit getting old and from the outside, the IFA does not seem inviting, but I like to come back every year! The staff is always very friendly and helpful.

Is very nice here! Only the beds are uncomfortable, very spongy. Also weird you get dish towels but there is no detergent! The breakfast buffet is good.

We had rented a one-room apartment for 4 nights in November. Before that I had read some reviews.
We were very excited
From a distance we saw the 3 high-rise buildings. From the outside it made an impression in need of renovation. We received a friendly welcome. Since the apartment wasn't ready, we went to the Windrose restaurant. It was the only thing that was open in this complex. Unfortunately there was nothing else in the afternoon apart from waffles. No cake, no ice cream. North German friendliness of the waiters.
When we opened the door to the room, a WOW came first. Direct view of the water. The room was nicely decorated, clean. Simple, north German style in the colors of the sea, beach and sun. We liked it very much. The bathroom is tiny, but with a bathtub. It was clean, but in a very bad condition.
We only used the small pantry kitchen in the hallway to make coffee.
2 hours entry to the Fehmare bath was included. We were given a friendly goodbye.
In the immediate vicinity there is a small, well-stocked supermarket,
We could order bread rolls at the reception because the baker was closed.
But you can also buy them in the supermarket.
In November all museums etc. are only open on weekends. Restarants and bars on the beach are closed.
Conclusion: we will be back.
The highlight: The slats on the balcony railing can be turned so that you can look down to the beach.

Very clean and a great view, the food is great and the parking lot is huge.

Rooms on the whole relatively clean, very many small and, to the misfortune of my family, larger spiders in the room and on the balcony.
The building could use a renovation. Otherwise very nice with a fantastic view of the Baltic Sea.

Haus Vitamar Great vacation with grandchildren, unfortunately the internal swimming pool was renovated during this time (high season) without informing us about it when booking.
The swimming pool was a reason for booking this house for us and therefore the closure was rather annoying.
