Ida Red pizzeria, Macedon Review

A bit pricey, but the food is delicious. I'll definitely be back.

Great pizzas and the best around. Have been coming for years. A refreshingly crisp wood fired. Some in Melbourne can get soggy, but not here.

Super high quality ingredients. Anyone complaining about the expense doesn t understand the entirety of the price delta is going to their suppliers.

Only complaint is occasionally the toppings are too minimal and you end up with too much of the base in the flavour. But 95% of the time extremely delicious.

Has been takeaway only since COVID even when permitted. A shame as the restaurant has a great ambiance with the fireplace and taxidermy. Also great Holgate on tap too.

Do yourself a favour, order the Truffle burrata. Great pizza team!!

Great pizza in the Macedon region.
Dough is great and cooked perfectly, a little shy on the toppings would be my only comment.
Great outside area, dog friendly. Staff even closed gates so that our puppy could walk freely outside.
They have live music as well from time to time.
Will be back for more pizza next time in the area.

Ida Red is a gourmet pizzeria in a chill back place! The pizza was amazing and so was the bruschetta! Definitely worth the drive in my opinion!

Good pizza. Nice thin and light bases with interesting toppings.

The best way to describe the food at this restaurant is simple, but done well. The pizzas were exquisite, the bases perfectly crisp and chewy. There were no real complexities within the menu, which is fine, providing the food tastes good which it did. The atmosphere was nice and cozy, and the staff were friendly. I will definitely be going back; they are the best pizza place in the region.
