Large rooms, quiet location, friendly owners, reasonable price

It is now 6 years that I go on vacation to this place and every year I can appreciate the qualities of Villa Forestata.
Fantastic staff ready to meet your every need, clean rooms all equipped with fully functional Wi-Fi, super breakfast with homemade products from cakes to jams.
Excellent base for visiting the beautiful beaches of Kefalonia ... petani, myrtos, fteri and ci beach ...
What about Villa Forestata is a guarantee for a relaxing holiday and a Greek atmosphere ..

Amazing location, services, value for money prices.

The services do not match the description and the average rating of the websites. In particular, the environment is decadent, the degree of deficient cleaning, breakfast disgusting, low-managers available. After 48 hours of "trial" and without having had the TV in the room that was due to us and having returned home in the evening finding the beds still unmade and the cleaning to do, we decided to leave 12 days in advance so as not to ruin our holidays. This was perhaps a good structure ten years ago.

A quiet and nice place to stay in Cefalonia! Kind people, beautiful view of the island and the sea, a big buffet for breakfast and a big terrace with amaca under the olive tree! The apartment are big, with 2 little terrace and everything inside. All is clean and new. Is quiet because it's on a little hill over Lixouri, so you need the car to arrive.

A very nice villa on a hilltop, a very quiet area, friendly host, they also have a restaurant. Very large rooms, cleaning every 3 days, I highly recommend !!

The room was dirty with urine in the toilet and odor. It was called into question our report that the room was dirty at first which was very rude. Later it was accepted and they called the cleaner. There was not a single bottle of water in the room as we were traveling for quite a while at 42 degrees and I had to go ask. The sink in the room was clogged, the owner urged us to wash in the sink until the problem was resolved. The sheets were changed once during our stay. The screens damaged, the vessels dirty and outdated. The layers caused pain in the body due to cruelty and bumps. Wifi with weak signal. Breakfast is served between 09: 00-11: 00 which is not convenient because distances are too long for good beaches and you need to get started early. Morning hygiene miserable. Flies and wasps everywhere with access to food. Personally, yogurt and egg and some jams as well as stale bread I do not consider a good breakfast but also traditional as they say. Our stay lasted 10 nights in August 2017. The villa forestata is in a difficult area even for a car. A high-speed mountain, steep uphill and limited visibility without illumination make it particularly dangerous at night. The last meters of the road are not asphalted. Also what happened to me for the first time was that the owners had not booked a deposit while we were already 5 nights in the room but tried in the middle of our stay to keep the whole amount without being informed of the pre-payment. Also overpriced, you found a four-star hotel with a slightly higher price. Unfortunately I had the misfortune of not only myself but also my children being in the villa forestata. To avoid. A tragic experience I would never want to live again.

Fantastic experience. The apartments have been recently renovated, with excellent WiFi, even if some details or arrangements would be missing. However the wonder of this Villa is the place where it is situated and the silence and the view that can be enjoyed. A small paradise, welcomed by the presence of Vally and Lina who prepare breakfast every morning with jams and other products made by them. An informal and friendly atmosphere, where you feel at ease. Finally, the large garden can also be used for barbecues.
