Birthday Party!
This is a reasonably priced birthday party location that is both fun and unique! We had 20 kids celebrate my daughter's 6th birthday (both on and off the ice). It was a huge success!
Many THANK YOUs to Coach Laura for working with the "newbies" (which was most of them) to get them all to their own comfort level on the ice!
It goes without saying that we will be back!
4 ponds and a bar/restaurant overlooking 2. Hockey heaven!
You would think with COVID and all the teams they had impacted...they would clean the facility!!! Place is a disaster!
Charge and charge again. Phone calls went to the voice mailbox with no response ever.
They should have cleaning people to constantly clean railings, doors.....since a lot of people, kids come in and go out to prevent Covid-19.
I was totally disgusted with my recent visit. I had Lauren Oreskovich do some embroidering on a hockey jacket. The results were horrendous! After i spoke with her she refused to acknowledge her poor workmanship. I am not the only one complaining about her work either.
Pretty amazing ice rinks and facilities for hockey games
The don't cater very well to handicap/ limited mobility people
Great place to hang out with friends and skate around. Occasionally there is a free-skate night with music and a light show.
Certain skateguards are clueless to their surroundings. Cursing at and around customers.
Stopped in for a Saturday night public ice while visiting family in the area. Brought my own skates. Rink was Olympic-sized. Ice was pretty bad when I got there, despite there only being about 12 people on the ice. They don't keep a center for figure skaters. All the people working there were really nice; no real complaints. Knocking a star off because I tripped on a chunk of empty ice.
A hockey complex with four rinks and a cafeteria that is also a pub, other than that nothing special.
I was a spectator in Rink 4. I really liked being high up! I had such a great view of the entire rink!
Pro shop young men are great with the kids and fast with sharpening
Very nice ice skating facility. Cafe made delicious breakfast sandwiches.
Thank you for donating a free admission for our community day winner!
I recently attended the 2014 USFSA Philadelphia Summer Championship competition here to watch my nieces skate. It is a very well laid out facility, with four sheets of ice and multiple lobby areas.
It was clean, the people were very friendly, and in addition to the concessions you would normally expect, this complex also has a Pub & Grill. When you're there for a multiple day event, the little extras make a lot of difference.
I dont think this place knows theres a pandemic going on. There were over 150 ppl at open skate. We left in the first 10 minutes. I am all for places opening, but do it safely.
I enjoyed my visit
It's a great place. My grandson played a great game thank you
I would just like to say this place has amazing people that work here. They helped make this single mothers kids have a awesome Christmas! Lost 3jobs because of covid I couldn't of done Christmas without them! Thank you Iceworks!!!!!
Nice skating rink. Nice pro shop with friendly, helpful employees.
Big center with 4 ice surfaces. Snack bar overlooking rinks 1&2. Pub restaurant at the other end of the building overlooking rink 3.
Great hockey and is my rink that I play in. Go PHANTOMS
Don t go here if you don t want your children to be harassed and publicly shamed for their skating ability. My son had never been to IceWorks before and has never ice skated. His friends invited him as a fun activity during Christmas break and I didn t discourage him from trying it anyway. Well now he ll never try again after his experience here. He was having trouble and rented and paid for a walker. Then whichever employee was in the penalty box screamed at him and tried to take it away from him, embarrassing him in front of everyone. They obviously had no problem taking his money to rent it, so his age couldn t be the explanation. When he panicked and tried to get off the ice to return it, as he believed he was being ordered to, he was again yelled at and publicly humiliated for not exiting in the correct spot. So next time you think about spending your money here, imagine your child trying something difficult for the first time in front of many people, then being debased and berated and shamed by someone who was supposed to be there to help customers.
Even after occupancy limitations would allow the rink to let people into the actual arenas...they brilliantly decided to keep spectators out of the actual rink, and cram everyone into the restaurant...because well...they are a good establishment and are allowed (minimum at this point) 25% capacity.
Makes sense right?
Cram everyone into a small restaurant....where nobody wears a mask because they are eating and drinking...
Instead of allowing the spectators into the afternoon ink where they can very much stay distanced...with masks.
Like every other rink we have played at this year.
Meanwhile if you don t want to go and be crammed into a small space with people not wearing masks....you can watch on live barn.
And the rinks live barn is horrible....
Very disappointed...
Get your f n ish together Ice Works...
You re being idiotic.
Me and some of my teammates were playing soccer and we accidentally kicked the ball on the roof.we asked the employees if they could go and get the ball. Next morning me and my dad were waiting after my game for and they said no. They said it was to far to walk. It would have taken him five minutes at most. Terrible employees.TERRIBLE
This is not special needs friendly public skating on Sundays. The room was darkened and only string and strobe lights were on. Sensory sensitive children may or will not do well here. Also, it s seems like a safety issue with such a dimly lit ice rink. Try ice line in West Chester or Wilmington Akating club for family friendly skating.
They need to take better care of their rest rooms. They are always a mess, no matter what time of day or day itself, I am there.
Men's league is good but the assignor is a major tool bag
This is a very nice rink with plenty of parking for so many rinks. Even with events going on at all rinks, there are always spots. Once inside, there is plenty of room to move around. There is a pub/grill which is nice to sit and eat at. We have been coming to this rink for several years and enjoy this facility. Each of the rinks has really good seating allowing you to see all of the game unobstructed. Rink 4 has an elevated platform above the lockers but seating is minimal. Your best bet is to stand at the railing if you want to see the game. The only thing keeping this from 5 stars are that there is no option for heating in the stands area and at night the parking lot is not that well lit. When looking for parking at night, drive slow with your high beams on as there are teams warming up outside.
*UPDATE*
Rinks 3 and 4 do not have above head heating in the stands like the other rinks. The parking lot lights did come on and brighten the lot. It gets darker earlier due to daylight savings do its not dark for too long.
Great for public skate, sucks that the prices went up
Brought my family there on a friday night...we did the free skating which was a lot of fun with the music and lights...and the food was amazing...it was however packed with young teenagers kissing ,hanging, and sitting on there boyfriends laps...it was very unsettling.
The rinks aren't so smooth and clean during free skate but the food court is the best I've ever been in at any place of sport.
I really like ice works the people are nice there they should have two lines for open skate
They should get good skate laces
Awesome experience this weekend at the southern Atlantic regionals competition. Well run event
Great place to watch developmental hockey up through high School. Four rinks for full ice games. Divided rinks for midget hockey.
My husband and I had our first-time ice skating at IceWorks Skating Complex and it was a lot of fun. We really enjoyed skating, however, the skates given to me weren't the skates I asked for and the rink was in need of some repair. We arrive a bit before open skate, we didn't realize it at the time and tried to get on the rink a minute or two before open skate started and we were stopped by an employee quite rudely.
Great place to learn to skate. They have open ice times, so if you're just starting out, this is a great place to start.
