Miserable reception at the reception! We travel a lot but we have never experienced anything like that. We were on the Easter days at Ibis in Locarno. As soon as we arrived we were greeted very unfriendly by the receptionist Mrs. Walser. Communication and dealing with the guests is definitely not a priority here. Very disrespectful, too bad how quickly an employee of such a big hotel chain can harm the name. Room and breakfast were ok. But we will not visit this hotel again because of this incident and recommend it.

It's an Ibis like everywhere. Quite small rooms but ok for a weekend trip. Breakfast buffet offers a variety of meats, cheese, cereals and beverages. It's pretty crowded on weekends. The very good location near the lake and piazza grande is very comfortable if you don't have a car. Covered parking lots available for CHF 19 a day. It even offers a sauna. Very friendly and helpful staff. They speak French , English, German and Italian.

Newly renovated, clean and quiet. Public parking spaces in front of the door, free of charge from 7 to 8 p.m.

Environment nice but breakfast really bad and very expensive .. We will not return.

Not only since the annoying advertisement on television because of the cheapest hotel prices everyone looks that he gets the best for his money. Concerning this hotel it is in any case the case that you get a very nice modern hotel room, which is sensationally isolated, because the hotel is located exactly between two streets, which is at least one very busy and has a lot of traffic. Nevertheless, the isolation is so good that even the Saturday evening traffic is so well insulated that you really hear nothing and in the middle of the day in the hotel room can sleep. Who does not want to sleep, has a huge, new TV available with well over 300 channels. But his own physical cleanliness is really very pleasant here in a rarely large shower cubicle. In addition, the whole hotel still has a parking garage, unfortunately limited by the number of parking spaces, which you can rent for good money per parking space and leave any time and can retract. Pleasant is also that you can commit the garage completely unseen and leave again, that is from the garage directly into the room and vice versa, without having to go past the front desk or drive. A rarely seen, comfortable bed completes the whole thing and at least I slept very well right from the start. Accompanied by really very well-kept cleanliness, not only in your own room, but from everything you get to see here. And so I think that in such a popular tourist destination for this price nowhere more is offered and you can be more than satisfied. Really highly recommended!

Excellent value for money, hard to find better. Mini suite very spacious and ideal for a family with 2 separate rooms. Location ok not too far from the station.

We stayed in the deluxe suit with our two toddlers and the space was fantastic. The beds, pillows and sheets were clean and very comfortable. The rooms are beautiful and practical. It had a lot of storage space, which for a family is important. The location was second to none. Extremely conveniently located to the centre of Locarno and the train station. We enjoyed our stay and the staff were very friendly. We'd stay here another time without a doubt.

Unfortunately, mold in the wet rooms - very small rooms, does not live up to the standard.

Well located. Hotel in the usual, uncomplicated Ibis standard. The breakfast buffet is good and on weekends you can benefit from it until 12 o'clock: That's great!

Super great and once again SUPER. I recommend an apartment on the 5th floor with a terrace, especially for a family of four. The car park is in the hotel but you have to book in advance, I have not booked and the first night I had to put the car in the underground car park 200 meters away. My car is a VW Multivan and in the ibis garage it fits in. I recommend this hotel.
