IAH Bush Airport Air Serv Corporations Review

What a sick airport!!!! Landed here for connection and was near the E terminals. Such cool decorations and small pop up shops lining the corridors. Entire walls were covered in decor that related to the cuisine (ie Japanese) in addition to some sweet sculptures.

Downside is they do not have outlets connected to chairs outside of the gates and instead have these odd towers that are peppered throughout the area with limited plugs...kind of a bummer.

Staff leaves something to desire but let's be honest, most airport staff regardless of the airport/country are pretty bland.

P.S. Getting through customs incoming to the US is hell at this airport as it is highly disorganized at the port of entry.

Huge place. Very easy to get around. Very expensive food. They nickel and dime you to death at every chance they get.

The drive thru employees don't know how to take orders and they get orders wrong a lot. They also stopped toasting the buns on their hamburgers so they don't taste good anymore.

This airport is huge! I had to take a train from one side to the other just to get to my other flight lol it s my second time at this airport and employees are very nice and friendly. Even TSA which coming from Miami is very odd. I got to sit down and eat some good food as well! I would like to come back one day and actually enjoy Houston. We ll see!

Detour to terminal A/B is finished and traffic was light. So very easy access.

Worst airport I ve ever been to. Got unnecessarily shouted at by all the staff, poor egress and they took over 1.5 hours to process one plane load (777) of people. Do not come through this airport.

Airport is slowly coming back from Covid but still very limited food options. Airport park at $10 p/d now - still a good deal.

Great service and clean airport! CBPs agents are friendly and overall service is way better that MIA or FLL always fly HOUSTON

Great airport, was glad our layover was here! There are plenty of good restaurants throughout the airport, I like that you can order from the menu at your table using the tablet. They also have charging stations throughout the airport, which is so helpful. Tablets can be used all over the place. There is not a bad seat to be had when waiting for your flight.

Nice airport, well organized, just b careful when planning your drive, traffic on access roads may prolong your journey.

I m so glad that the construction that caused problems for us last October are now gone. This most recent trip was perfectly pleasant. Getting our bags checked through United and then getting through security was a breeze at 6a on a Monday morning. Woot!

We did experience a minor delay due to weather. So I was glad to find a little place that actually sold some healthy snacks.

The downsides? The numerous outlets provided near the gates don t necessarily work. So pay attention. Also, I wish there were a USO at the terminal we actually use. Lol. But that s me being greedy. It s just so much easier to have a place for the kids to be comfortable.

Check in at Terminal A, then get on a train and Depart at B. Crazy. The airport was much better before it was remodeled. Bad bad idea. Not enough visible signs to gates and baggage claims. Poor remodel. Arrive at B, then go to A to get luggage. Who thought this up, definitely not thinking of passengers.

Very nice airport , great food selection and shopping stores.

The iPad ordering at nearly every restaurant and shop is a horrific view of a future where no one is helping you and cash is not accepted.

The TSA here has no respect for passengers property. One agent ransacked my backpack without opening the zipper all the way, harming the backpack. I ve already contacted the TSA ombudsman but have not heard back. Incompetence seems to run up and down the entire chain. (February 2019)

I went to Terminal A on 02/05/2020. The cold front was in full effect at 10:30 PM. The morans at the airport left the three entrance/exit doors to the baggage claim area open. It felt like the North Pole with the wind blowing through.

Found my way easily from C terminal to B to catch my connection with plenty of time to spare. The hallways were unreasonably hot and had me sweating like I was in Home Alone.

Lots of great food choices, Hard Rock Cafe for a sit down option! Small bathrooms, some international flights as well as the usual bird to Cleveland.

Happy to spend a quick lay over in my hometown.

Well laid out airport for the size. Easier to navigate than some other large sized airports.

Very good airport police, very friendly and helpful. I left my back pack on a tram when took a flight home to Raleigh. They found me at the gate and brought my back pack to me to the TSA check point. Great law enforcement people who take care of fellow citizens. Thank you very much.

WOW!! Lots of food courts, plenty of souvenirs shops and traveling necessities. Clean and well appointed walkways and restrooms. If you must travel aboard an airplane, United Airlines is the one to use!!

The airport is well organized, more modern and cleaner.

Older woman at rental counter told me that my economy car hasn t arrived yet , but I could upgrade for $10 more. She then informed me how little I paid.

When I threaten to cancel if she didn t honor my reservation, she finally upgraded me to the compact car.

Good food with a lot of variety, airport staff is friendly. Now why I only give it 2 stars, this is the worst airport in the world for international connecting flights. The most inefficient security check ever, it could take you an hour and your checked bags won't get transferred to your connecting flight.

Had to walk a long distance from A gates 1-14 to get something to eat. All nearby concessions were closed afyer 5 pm today.

Directions are good and the train was a plus in getting us to our next flight. A lot of construction inside and not to many eating area in our terminal, most open restaurants were in the C area.

This airport is laid out in a very odd configuration. The shuttles weren't working so you had to take the exterior busses to go between terminals. The airline I was on landed on one terminal and you had to walk to the other one to get your bags. Will try to fly out of hobby in the future.

Ordered a cup of coffee...it never arrived. I would like my 3.75 back. Could have used all the time I spent waiting to go to the Starbucks. Also, feedback form on kiosk tool not working.

How is this airport rated so highly? This airport has a ton of shortcomings. Let's begin with the signage. It is not clear. AT ALL. Terminals A, B, C, D, E. Terminal E is connected to Terminal................C. In what world does that make sense? Then, some of the gates are not actually gates, but moreso a holding pen in order for you to be unleashed like cattle to get to the actual gate. The area outside of the airport where you wait for hotel shuttles is an accident waiting to happen. No curb. No shelter. No benches. It is as if you are standing in the middle of traffic. In front of you is oncoming traffic. Immediately behind you is a cluster*uck of UBERs, LYFTS, etc. You are not standing on an island....you are literally in the middle of the street. There is no one directing the flow of traffic; it is a free-for-all. Last night, I felt so bad for an elderly man with a cane waiting for a hotel van. This is not OK. Someone needs to get a hold of this and do better.

Great facilities and awesome waiting areas on gates.

Took the train to go from terminal E to C and it was fast and convenient.

Terminal C has been equipped with tables and high chairs in the waiting areas. Each table has 4 power outlets and about 8 usb connectors. Ipad with options to order food or play games.

There are tables with lower chairs attached to the floor.

Most people who work here are super ghetto. Just seen a TSA lady scream at an much older white lady for leaving her license in the tray that goes through the scanner. I was embarrassed for both ladies. Smh. Most employees here have an attitude. Not sure why. Lol, it s crazy.

My immigration experience was good. I found the staff friendly and helpful. The lines were short and there were many immigration counters and everything was over in about 10 minutes. Overall, a great experience.

This should be a very good airport to fly out from, but it is not. Rather, it is overly complex. The parking does require one to arrive much earlier than should be the case because it is inconvenient and crowded. Shuttles and other transportation to the city is a hassle because Bush is so far from the city. The food options are alright, but some of them are somewhat expensive. Checking in can be a hassle as there seems to be too much chaos at times. All in all, I would rather fly out of Hobby than this terrific mess.

If I would of known the ac was so cold, I would of worn a fleece. United - Gates 88-85(?), you need to have the agents speak over the intercom one at a time. I couldn't understand either of them when they are talking at the same time. Other than that, it was great.

It was good experience for stay over at the Houston international airport. I missed next flight at this airport. It was okay.

I fly in here all the time. It's always wonderful. As far as airports go it's one of the best. They prioritise you and your luggage and they don't really be pressing people to move out the way when they're waiting to pick up travelers so that helps.

People working in customs are very nice, other staff is good too. Soon will visit this place again so can give additional comments. I keep a good rate until now.

Nice offerings here. A bit confusing to leave with many small exits. Looks like more work will bring some changes soon. After security there is a great food court and some really neat designs.

Nice airport many destination fly from George Bush intr. Airport around the world . And nice restaurant . But there's one thing I don't like !

There's no designated area to smoke ( smoking room . Terrace . Balcony ) like any airport in the world . It's nice to be clean environment and I'm totally respect that .

Specially when you have to flight 13 hours .

There's more than 1 Billion smokers on Earth .

didn't know that once we got to the double doors on B29 we had another half mile walk

We have used this airport for 20 years and prefer it over having to go to Dallas just because of location and convenience, but what happened last week is unforgivable. They LOST my mother! She hurt her back on vacation and we got a wheelchair for her when we got off the plane. We were traveling in a large group and they told me to go down the escalator and they would meet me at the bottom, to take the escalator with the group. OK. This woman is 80 years old and can't get up, I have her passport and other items. Got to the bottom and waited, and waited and waited........Finally, I went back up and they had moved her to another location in a golf cart. Searched for her..........forever. When I finally caught up with her she was beside herself. They were telling her because she didn't have her papers she couldn't go through. Scared her to death. When I asked why they didn't bring her down as promised, they said they had no one to push the chair. As I looked around the room, there were multiple employees ON THEIR PHONES! Some were watching movies, some music videos. There was another couple as old as my mother, both in wheelchairs right beside my mother. They were from Venezuela and spoke no English. They were in the same situation and their children found them while I was there, but this sweet couple were trying to comfort my mother. This was a nightmare for my mom and frustrating for me. These people need to get it together and get their employees to do their job. Either that or let families push their own loved ones in the wheelchairs.

This airport has the fastest and most efficient immigration and customs process of all airports I have flown through (o travel a lot internationally). Going through security again after clearing customs is also super fast and easy. The airport itself is huge and offers a lot of good dining options...I really like how there are several restaurants where you can sit and order through a tablet provided and even shop or browse the internet all through the same tablet. My favorite airport by far.

Good experience even though Covid-19 is around. Just wish they would enforce people being 6 feet apart.

Easy to get to from anywhere in Houston. Great restaurant selection. Nice shops. Kinda of a let down that you have to walk outside onto the tarmac to get to the regional flights.

Huge airport, air train between terminals, great selection of restaurants and shops.

Decent airport. Quite busy, but a great place to make connections. Lots of signs, so you won't get lost. Not too far from the city of Houston.

Not bad, its just an airport. Sometimes the lot is full off site but they gave us a voucher for way reduced price because of holiday. 6 a day instead of 20 for at airport parking. Reserve ecopark weeks ahead or you may not get the same discount I got.

for a large city airport it is easy to navigate from terminal to gate as well as driving to/from the airport itself.

Speedy baggage claim, easy signage very well maintained

A decent light display in the terminal that I was in and the first class lounge was comfortable.

A nice and clean airport here in Houston has all kinds of restaurants and shops here while you wait for your flight the flight attendant was kind and friendly will recommend!

Nov 24, too early for Christmas music. Not even Thanksgiving yet. Only classless unaware folks do this usually to profit

Airport security was appalling, took items from sealed bags and bought from the airport at Mexico. They took them and said people in Mexico don t care and that they ll try to sell you anything they can. Took the items (hot sauce bottles) and said if we wanted it back we would have to get patted down and get the airport in lockdown (again items bought from the duty free section in the airport at Mexico) - which whe proceeded to tell us its an impossible process and should just give it up anyway. The white woman inspecting my carry on got told by her Asian co worker that those items are allowed since they are in the duty free sealed bag - white woman got annoyed, said she ll ask a supervisor but just walked away, talked to other coworkers for a minute, then came back to say she was confiscating it and we couldn t do anything about it... Not impressed at all, disgusted infact.

This is a great airport, it has served the Greater Houston area well for over 60 years. It has added additional terminals during that time and it has been nicely renovated when needed. I realize that people only tend to write reviews when they are angry but for an airport it is awesome

It isn't terrible, but only because my first time there I was getting off a plane and could see the goofy way it's laid out. Vending machine didn't work. Signage is good if you're returning a rental car, easy to follow.

Easy in and easy out for business travel. Rental car terminal is off-site, but an easy bus ride to it.

Very nice airport. Wide hallways, good selection of restaurants and fast food, restrooms are most of the time very clean. Access to the airport by car is easy, particularly coming from the north and taking the Hardy tollway. Sometimes security can get busy and slow, but is way faster than other big airports like Denver or Los Angeles. There are sometimes delays particularly is some early flights or the evening ones.

Pick up is so easy, but their protocol is unending. So many checks and queues.

Nice airport! Very big and modern. I had an hour and a half layover here on my trip from Cleveland to Dallas. My complaint about this airport would be the restrooms....definitely not the cleanest.

Trying to get to correct terminal due to flight changes was a pain, I prefer Hobby.

Feels like you've enter into a large city inside of an airport. Great place to walk around and look at the art while waiting for someone to arrive

Flew into Houston for a connection on an international flight Friday evening. We missed our connecting flight because the TSA was grossly understaffed leaving us stuck in lines while our connection left. Hope the agents enjoyed their Friday night off more than I enjoyed sleeping overnight with my baby in a nearby hotel.

I enjoyed the neatness, the courteous approach by the customs and immigration authorities. I like US in general in all aspects.

The George Bush Intercontinental airport has good transportation options and fantastic team members to help assist both children and the elderly!

It's pretty easy to navigate once you arrive to your terminal! :)

People need to get off there phones in the TSA line pay attention to what they are saying and things will move faster. The TSA agents also need to learn to speak up use your diaphragm to push the air out and talk louder then every one else.

Fast and efficiently. Love how the terminals are split between each airlines which makes it easier to locate your gate and navigate around the airport. It's always clean and smell fresh each time I visit plus the staff is friendly. This is a nice airport to fly to and out.

Not bad but about an hour slower than hobby per trip

Great Airport facility, clean and plenty of stores, restaurants, fast food , souvenirs stores, a lot of flights daily BUT people here , or airport employees are not friendly, this does not reflect the Texans. Maybe because they don't get paid enough or customer service are not priority, people from the restaurants and airlines are more helpful than the airport staff. Other than that this airport is beautiful. But not everything is image in this business.

Airport closes early and has some work being done. However the staff was extremely Polite, congratulation.

This airport has a good layout and has evenly distributed restaurants and shopping throughout it so that you don't have to be bored during a layover. It does require some navigation if you want to eat or see a specific store which may be in a different terminal but even the restaurants have a good variety. You can either walk or take the train between terminals. Terminal C is undergoing some construction so bathrooms are a little scarce here but overall a good airport.

Airport is okay. Some TSA workers have attitudes and probably need to work somewhere else.

This place isn't convenient in any way. I loathe having to fly out of here, though there's rarely s more affordable option out of HOU and it honestly sucks whenever anyone from out of town lands here. Traffic is a nightmare around the entire airport. Most all parking options are pretty expensive. The airport is massive and takes forever to get around in. Drop off and pick up and hectic and stressful with rude security staff. Security seems to heavily profile with their "random" selection process. And all the food options in the airport are bizarrely lacking and overpriced. There's always multiple areas under construction. Rarely any place to conveniently charge your phone and constant delays on every flight in and out of this airport for me.
