Hyatt Regency Orange County Review

Rooms were clean and spacious, staff was friendly. Starbucks inside, walkable to target, shuttle to Disney!

Stayed with the family on a trip to Disneyland in the Kids Suite room. Bunk beds kept the kids in the space for sleeping and the King bed was ample for the spouse and I. Hotel is just down the street from Disneyland and the kids enjoyed hitting the pool as well.

Great location. About 2 miles from Disneyland. Amazing staff and rooms. Beautiful hotel. Always very clean. The rooms after very spacious, we especially love the rooms with bunk beds with our kids. We stay here every time we come to Anaheim! We love it!

Room keys didn't work until the fourth reset. Same with using the key to leave the parking. Otherwise, nice hotel.

Gorgeous facilities. Booked the ballroom for our wedding. Excellent wedding planning services.

The staff , starting with Scott Brady ,and his team makes the difference.

I loved the main hall here!!! Rooms were very nice and clean. Alot of amenities like a pool, tennis court, basketball court, ping pong, sauna, workout and more...

Rooms are great but there are still some improvements that can be made like having a microwave in rooms.

A great option for convention goers who aren't a fan of packed hotels on convention way. Great location, has several convenience stores nearby.

Breakfast is a bit limited, but acceptable.

I felt so WELCOME!! Everyone should feel like they are welcome regardless if you're visiting or employed or just finding a place to relax!

Really uncomfortable beds. If you like REALLY firm beds then this will be good for you. Also, the parking gates never opened for us so that was really a pain.

Second time staying at this location and find it to be one of the best hotels in the area. Service is top notch, and it is relatively convenient to local attractions (Disneyland, Convention Center, etc.). Of course, if you are just looking for a place to put your head down there are cheaper options in the area. But the Hyatt Regency has room service.

It is a beautiful hotel but room not very clean. Towels need fabric softener \ fragrance.

Went for a conference. Everything was amazing. The room was nice. The staff super friendly and helpful. The facilities well kept.

A very pleasant and remarkable experience we had with this hotel. Everyone I met there was so cool, accommodating, and understanding. The amenities are good too, where I go to the gym at noon and swimming when around late afternoon. The foods were delicious and well-cooked. I love always to stay here. Thank you very much!

Attended a conference there for a week. Rooms were nice, pools were nice. They shut them down way too early though.

Super big rooms. Not enough hot water, so only 4 stars.

While they are not the best, they are clearly better than most in cleanliness, service, ammenities and location.

This is a beautiful hotel with several restaurants within walking distance when you want to get outside. My only real complaint would be the commode wishing they had larger, oval shaped toilets. Now that I've written that it will probably seem an odd comment and complaint but is definitely true.

Great location, free shuttle service to Disneyland. The pool was fantastic with a lot of open chair seating. The rooms were decently sized. Our only issue was parking. It was far from the entrance and wasn't free. This made going out for quick trips a chore. Although Target is walking distance.

We we're here for a wedding. The hotel is very nice, clean, and well-staffed. Front desk was very helpful in figuring out our parking validation.

We had the best stay at the Hyatt Regency Orange County. Our room was clean and enough space for 2 people. Nancy on Guest Services really helped make our trip special, helping to organise and take care of all trips we went on. All staff members were friendly, and helpful.

This hotel will be perfect if you are playing to spend a lot of time at Disneyland or planning to use it as a base if you have hired a car. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family, and would choose to stay in another Hyatt Regency hotel on my next trip to America.

Had bad experience checking in. 11 pm, key after key did not work, waited for the security for 30 minutes to come and figure out what is wrong, while my kid sat under the door half asleep. They had some kind of even going on ,so the music was heard even on the 6th floor. Parking is 28 per day on top of that. Don't think I will come back.

4 bcuz no refrigerator or microwave n your room....

Rooms were clean. A/C worked great! Bartender in the hotel bar made us some fantastic drinks.

Came back to room at 11:30 pm from Disneyland and found out that there was no room service for the day. I called the front desk to have towels and shampoo delivered...still waiting for the last 45 minutes. I called the front desk to remind them and still not here yet.

I've stayed here multiple times. It's a nice property. Very large. Rooms are modern and classy. I booked a suite and it had a very nice bedroom and separate living room with a large sectional. The bedroom and living room were separated with a large window that had power shades which was a nice touch for the relatively low price I paid for the room. They offer a complimentary shuttle service from the hotel to Disneyland and they gave me as many shuttle tickets as I needed. Staff is courteous and polite. As I stated before, I've stayed here multiple times and will continue to stay here every time I make a trip down to Disneyland. Highly recommend it!

Very nice hotel with great staff. A posh exterior with an upscale interior, restaurant near the front desk for every meal of the day, a starbucks in the lobby, a pool, wifi, quiet rooms, cozy beds, flatscreen tv, located at a great part of town. Target and Oggi's Pizza And Brewery are just across the street. Regular taxi and shuttle services wait at the front door. Disneyland is almost within view! A nice place to stay.

Just live this hotel have stayed there twice what a nice clean place. My kids live it and my wife wont stay anywhere else.

Absolutely beautiful hotel and indoor plaza, restaurant, bar, and Starbucks. Staff was super friendly! Our room was delayed a couple of hours and they upgraded us to a suite at no additional cost which was a great touch. Definitely recommend. It's also in a very convenient location, close to Target, restaurants, and Disneyland.

Very professional valet staff upon arrival. The next positive aspect before my meeting was how beautiful the hotel was ... definitely look forward to going back in the future and spending more time there .

Beautiful Hotel. Great, attentive staff. Got me extra towels. I even made a request for candy on my arrival (as a half joke) and they did it. Awesomeness.

Came for an event hosted in their ballroom. Very large room, great for hosting big events. The bar was very expensive, though I suppose that's normal for a hotel bar.

Stayed at the Hyatt for 9 nights for a family vacation in August. Considering this is a 4 star hotel it did not live upto its rating at all.

Firstly the bathrooms are in need of massive renovations. On my first night the water from the bath was draining slowly. I brought this to the attention of the front desk. Upon my return that evening I was informed that it had been taken care off. That night whilst having a shower the bath became completely blocked and gunk and pink water begin to fill and overflow the bath tub. This occurred at midnight whilst I was in the midst of taking my shower. I had to quickly jump out of the bath tub covered in soap. My wife called the front desk and somebody arrived after 30 mins and informed us it could not be fixed and we would need a room change in the morning. That night my wife was unable to take a shower and I could only take half. In the midst of all this commotion my 15 month old daughter was trying to sleep whilst the smell from the bathroom filled the room. The next day we were moved to a different room where the water was at least draining from the tub.
Overall the standard of the bathroom is not what you expect from a 4 star hotel, it felt more like a dirty motel.

Secondly, the swimming pools are not heated. I was dissapointed as i could not take my 15 month old daughter swimming.

Finally, the housekeeping left alot to be desired. Most days areas were either not cleaned or items in the bathroom not replenished.

The hotel restaurant, on site starbucks and staff are great. However, after the experience I had i am left with a very sour taste in my mouth and will not be staying at the Hyatt brand in future. I do want to thank the manager Dorothy who tried to help with the situation but she had little to work with given the condition of the bathrooms to begin with.

My family and I had been planning our vacation for years and that's why I wanted everything to be perfect including the 4 star hotel I had booked. Unfortunately the hotel left us with the wrong type of holiday memories!

The hyatt is a very nice hotel but the parking is very exoensive.

Rooms were very nice. Same as a higher class hotel room in Vegas. The service was amazeballs!! Loved how kind and sweet all the staff were. I have never seen happy people working the front as I did at the Hyatt. The valet was esp wonderful. One annoying factor I had was I had to pay $10 a night for internet. No wi-fi !!! I was at a conference and I attend grad school full time. Imagine how mad I was once I knew I needed to pay $40 for four nights of internet service. There was no way I could pay. Truthfully, I will not stay at the hotel if I knew I needed internet for business or schooling again. Or even if I needed wi-fi for my cell phone.

Clean comfortable quiet room. Great food. Outstanding staff.

Before i write this review i am 100% honest you can agree or disagree to my opinion but besides that Me and my family was looking for hotels everywhere to go with are disneyland package they got booked up quick so i came across the Hyatt Regency Orange County many times by google going back and forward reading about this hotel but was not sure this was the hotel for us into i talk to my mom (adult here) about booking Lol i book almost all the trips so we both checked it out and decide to call it was the best decision ever We walk into the most friendly customer service and desk people who do they best to work with you and everything The suite we had was clean smelled clean the tv work and fridge was cold i did not see 1 thing dirty in are room the white beds even the couch was fresh and clean pillows they fast lf you have a request for anything or to bring up a blanket its a lot of restaurants/stores outside the hotel even target is a street away i just wish the game room was free with the stay i had read reviews about The Hyatt Regency Orange county but let me say this lf you looking for a good hotel stay here and don`t go off the negative reviews listen to your heart and brain me and my family was just so grateful how they was treating us and for the Disneyland trip overall i would for sure be back to ANY Hyatt hotel i did like hilton but now i love the Hyatt more :) i enjoyed my trip

This Hyatt is pretty nice the rooms however I got a Family VIP suite I was expecting a 5 star room, first the room as not ready until 45 minutes after 4 P.M. now this time is a guarantee time for the room to be ready don't let them bambuso you ask for a reduced rate or a free night they might just give you a discount on your parking like they did for me. One of the rooms bathroom doorknob was broken and the bathroom did get clogged when we got there it may have been me or maybe not I just had salad that afternoon so I doubt it was me but they took care of it as well the doors separating the rooms are kinda flimsy they feel cheap which I was not expecting form Hyatt, the self parking's kinda confusing you need to go to the back of the hotel and then turn in front of a parking gate safe to say I didn't catch on to that the first time nice place but I feel that if I pay $400.00 plus/night for 4 nights I should get a little better service but I guess not.

This is our fav hotel in O.C. now that the construction is finished.

Pros:
Direct hotel buses to DLand.
The staff here remembers our names when ever we arrive. They are a kind, well trained and friendly staff.
The best breakfast staff: ask to sit where Jean is serving, she is great.
Target is across the street, great to pick up forgotten items.

Cons:
It is a bit of a walk to self parking.
Uses feather pillows & bedcovers: if you have allergies you have to ask for a switch.

Nice Banquet Rooms, and facilities. They keep it way too cold in there! Had trouble all 3 times paying for and exiting from parking lot. They dont answer the call for help, to let me out after I paid. They overcharged me 2 of the 3 times. I had to follow out the car ahead of me to get out, as they didnt answer their call for help phone line by exit!

Attended a conference. The service was great. The meeting rooms were good too.

Can Disney borrow your employees next time we come. At least everything would be genuine.

Convenient Starbucks inside of the hotel. Appears to be great for a conference or overnight stay.

Would have given 5 stars but the basketball court which was a huge plus for me needs a lot of maintenance and better basketballs. Outside of that a nice hotel with a great restaurant/bar.
