The Hyatt Regency Kyoto was near-perfection. My mom and I had a fantastic stay. Our room was amazingly comfortable, had a beautiful view of the garden, and the food cooked at this hotel was delicious. The hotel staff was kind, considerate, and they worked hard to help make sure everything went well during our entire trip. The staff went above and beyond in terms of service, they were so helpful. Not only that, but everyone was incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful, and warm. Yae Hiraishi at the concierge desk was especially helpful and wonderful to work with during our stay. She helped us figure out nearly every day's plan and was very kind. We didn't want to leave this hotel and wished we could have stayed forever! A perfect place to enjoy Kyoto. We are looking forward to our return stay!

Service was excellent from the staff. The room was clean and we'll kept for our three night stay. We had no issue. The hotel does seem to cater to business travelers. They also provided Geisha performance each night as a welcome to guests.

We had afternoon tea at Hyatt Regency Kyoto's Japanese restaurant "Touzan".

Previously at The Grill, Hyatt Regency Kyoto, who was popular at Miki Bamboo Shop's artistic afternoon tea stand For a while, it changed to a plate afternoon tea set ... (Of course, I also got this set Was )

This spring, Mr. Higashiyama, a Japanese restaurant, revived

Moreover, the dishes have been renewed Great content that incorporates Western elements such as foie gras, centering on Japanese ingredients that are typical of Kyoto

Drinks are paired with tea from Kyoto's super popular store "Ippodo Chapo"

Honeydew (Gyokuro)
The finest roasted green tea
Seki no Shiro (Matcha)

Please provide according to the dish in the order of.

[Savory]
Temari Sushi
Kyoto pickles and mackerel sandwich
Miso scented foie gras mousse
Dashi roll burger

sweets
Matcha macaroons
Mugwort cream chocolate tart
Amazake panna cotta, yogurt-flavored puffed grain
Hyuganatsu sake lees almond biscuits
Warm scones of roasted green tea and raisins (clotted cream. Strawberry jam)

Kashiwa mochi
Seasonal fruit (strawberry)

Fortunately, Temari sushi is
And what surprised me was the mackerel sandwich ! Combined with Kyoto pickles, this is a pickle-like feeling that brings out the umami of mackerel refreshingly Exquisite

The soup stock with a gentle flavor spreads in the dashi roll burger. It's a savory that impresses me a little As expected, Japanese food in Kyoto

Sweets have interesting ingredients such as popular matcha, roasted green tea, amazake and sake lees Panna cotta has a refreshing yogurt and a crushed and fun texture! What a puffed grain !

A series of surprises such as chocolate tart wormwood cream

Kashiwa mochi on a separate plate, this is also stylishly wrapped

And the smoke was cloudy, and it was a big big strawberry that was carried like a star ! Large and sweet enough to be treated specially

It was so good ~ It was such a wonderful afternoon tea that I talked with my friends many times

Stopped in for a big Western Breakfast Buffet. It was good and expensive, but all you could eat. If you grab a cab from here, chances are good you get a driver with better than average English.

Very high-end restaurant service is very good. If you take a taxi, it is not far from JR Kyoto Station. It costs less than 1,000 yen, but if you want to walk from Shichijo Station, it is a short distance from Kiyomizu Temple. Although you can walk to Kiyomizu Temple, it is quite a bit away. The choice of eating nearby is not I haven t seen a lot of supermarkets

I'll split the rating on this one, but I'll give it a 4 overall.
Location: 2.5 stars.
I should have researched the area a bit more so this is on me, I relied on reviews that claimed this was an excellent location. It really isn't. Unless you are willing to deal with very crowded buses and pay for taxis all the time, there's only a days worth of touristy places here and then you have to deal with up to 30+ minutes in public transportation to get anywhere. Since eateries nearby close fairly early, you'll be forced to eat at their restaurants which are of course overpriced for the quality of food you get. If you travel with kids, I would stay somewhere else. It's simply not convenient for a long stay.

Rooms/cleanness: 4.5 stars
We booked two twin rooms. The rooms are on the small side, and they only have 5 sets of connecting rooms (we got told).
Hyatt has an online booking system that does not seem to comunicate at all with the actual location you chose, do not rely on it if you want to make a special request like connecting rooms or an extra bed (even if it states on their website), it's better to call and do the booking that way and ask a lot of questions.
Their bathrooms are very nice and but too traditional in style; the shower shares the space with the tub, which can be inconvenient if you are sharing and want privacy. Overall their rooms are fairly quiet, and some have a great view.

Staff: 5 stars.
We haven't had a bad experience with service in Japan and this was no exception. The staff is helpful and courteous, very friendly.

If I came back I would probably stay in a different area, a lot of the businesses in the vecinity are closed or close early, the closest metro station is around 10 minutes away, buses are usually crammed and if you have a small kid with a stroller it's a bit of a pain. For the amount of walking you do sightseeing Kyoto, the Hyatt seems too out of the way of convenience for food and shopping, and you will end up having to deal with taxis to go grab dinner. Or stay in and endure the pricey and very boring menu of room service as punishment after a long day of walking.

A high-class hotel located next to Sanjusangendo.
As the name of the agency suggests, the resort hotel and single twin rooms are reasonably large and comfortable.
Easy access to Shimizu.

Among Hyatt, I think Hyatt Regency Kyoto is excellent. The arms of the spa are wonderful and the body and mind are detoxified. Most of the restaurants in the hotel have a cold atmosphere and are not very good, but the Italian here has a good atmosphere and service!

At the Hyatt in Tokyo, the restaurant boy is about the same size as a family restaurant. I came out with lukewarm champagne without knowledge. At Kyoto Hyatt, the people working are solid and smart. I felt the essence of "hospitality" to meet the needs of customers. It is truly Kyoto.

I wonder if it is a business hotel area. The breakfast buffet was delicious, but the number of items was limited, 3 days was the limit, and I got bored in the long term. The ceiling is low, and there are many places where I wonder why I made this.

The hospitality and room exceeded expectations. Nearby attractions included the National Museum, and with some walking, the kiomizuderra water temple (spelling?). The Hyatt property is not near downtown attractions, but there's a bis stop right in front, and taxis are reasonable and polite. Hotel desk staff speak English, and do their best to ensure a pleasant stay.

Cozy hotel including the bar and restaurant on the ground floor. I reserved a non-smoking room, but I smelled a cigarette, I was kept waiting for 50 minutes to change the room, and when I finally entered the bathroom was not cleaned, so I canceled it and moved to the Westin. I was a platinum member, but since then I moved to spg.

This is not just the room itself
Amenity is also taken into consideration, and the environment is set up so that you can fully enjoy the hotel life from short-term stays to long-term stays.
There are more than 800 hotels in the world, so it s top class.

The wife and I really enjoyed this hotel. We were only spending a couple of nights in Kyoto and found the location and accommodations both perfect for what we wanted to do. If you enjoy walking as we do, you can easily get to some of the major shrines from here on foot. It is also about a 5-7 minute walk to a train station for some of the attractions that are further away. The hotel was also very well maintained, clean and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. Most everyone spoke pretty good English. The rooms were a good size and the bed was western style and large. In the morning we took advantage of their Western style breakfast, which was really delicious and fresh. If we find ourselves in Kyoto again, this will be the place we stay.

I visited at a dinner party for 500 people in late August. First of all, the impression that arrived and entered the entrance is "Hot! "was. It's hot even though you're having a tea in the lobby lounge, it's hot even when you're having dinner in the large hall, and it's a fan and you're a fan. If you ask, "I can't get air conditioning because the building is old. ] And. No, it's not only this year that Kyoto is hot, but I would like you to set up an air conditioner if you give a hotel of a certain class. I received a very disappointing impression.

The Hotel room compliments the city of Kyoto incredibly. The Hyatt staff is very friendly and warm. Your every need will be met accordingly. It's walking distance from Shrines, Buddhist Temples and restaurants. The in-room dining service is fast and delicious, you can order straight from a tablet. Theirs a 15 minute Geshia performance at 1815 at the lobby.

I used the shop on the first floor. It is useful because you can quickly choose a good souvenir for foreigners. The service of the staff is also a hotel, and it is kind and polite. It is a space where you can also enjoy the restaurant comfortably.

Considering the space limitations that a hotel can have in Kyoto, the Hyatt Regency has made an excellent hiding place that is close by historical sites. A great hotel with all the modern features.

Good location, about a 7-10 minute walk to the train station and across from the Museum and shrines. Very helpful staff, we appreciated the geisha performance and the opportunity to take pictures. Rooms we nice though we found the bed to be a bit too firm for us. Overall a great place to stay

Decent hotel if you want to stay in cookie-cutter Westernized accommodation in Kyoto that doesn't feel remotely Japanese.

Prices throughout including in the restaurants are exorbitant and have a ridiculous service charge added on, plus tax, so expect to pay over 20% more for everything.

Some of the facilities are quite good, such as the well-equipped gym (although it is hidden in the basement and requires walking through a maze of corridors to access). Others are mediocre and/or run at obnoxious hours (the bar for example does not open until 5pm yet I can get a beer at a vending machine, liquor store or many great local restaurants outside at any hour).

The rooms are small and basic and service is good but ingenuine and robotic. Walking into the hotel is like being transported to another country where you suddenly lose all of the culture, conveniences and customs of Japan.

Maiko's dance will be performed from 6:15. It was a wonderful moment. And you can come to each bar and restaurant for greetings. Maiko, 17 years old. The first time before the incense was good.

Afternoon tea at THE GRILL restaurant This photo is for 3 people.
It was very tasty and full of volume.
There were so many kinds of drinks that bothered me.
Personally, the shanti in the middle of the Hosen-do that appears at the end was delicious.

Hotel restaurant truly extraordinary, both in the elegance of the place, for the kindness of the waiters and for the goodness of the food absolutely in the Japanese tradition. All very clean and typically wooden furnishings.
