Really nice hotel with nicely appointed rooms. A great spa where we had very nice massages. I loved the bar and the lobby of the hotel was really nicely designed. About 10 minutes from the station and right across the way from the Kyoto museum.

Excellent hotel, excellent service, great location. The beds are very comfortable, Japanese-like. The water pressure in the shower is perfect. Rooms are spacious. Keep in mind this is not a five-star hotel, but very close, a strong 4.5 for sure!

Foreign staff were also helpful as they were informed in Japanese.
The room is spacious.
Guide guide is tablet, and you can check service and restaurant.
The bath is large and separate from the toilet.
I was able to relax looking at the trees seen from the window.

I used the restaurant for eating and drinking. There is only a top-class hotel, and the price is high, but the quality of the cooking and space directing is very high, and you can get a satisfactory feeling of satisfaction.

A five-star hotel that we stayed for one night by invitation. Introduced in comparison with Kyoto Okura Hotel. Infection measures when entering the entrance. It felt like everyone was sitting in the lobby chair so that they couldn't do it. Okura lobby has a profound feeling, flower arrangement, X'MAS tree After check-in, the guidance and explanation are the same. Room is normal twin, amenities are set at a minimum and additional request . Shampoo Body soap and conditioner are all surprised with argon oil. No cosmetics. The design that can not be seen from any room from the window and the trees in the courtyard that you can not walk. The bathtub is deep and big, the high chairs are comfortable to sit in and shower, and the bathroom and toilet are different, so (Okura is large but all are the same) The restaurant was reserved on the grill on the first floor. The dinner-only sesame bread is super delicious and refills The soup, main fish, and meat are all delicious and the fried potatoes are excellent. Since the amount of one plate is large, it is best to order more. If you stay for consecutive nights, you might want to go to Italian. Breakfast is the same restaurant. It's nice to be able to choose from 3 types of menu I was surprised that there was Japanese food, but it was delicious and it was a great deal with bread. The miso soup is delicious and it's refilled here
Check-out is late at 12:00, so you can enjoy it depending on your schedule. Access is free once from Kyoto Station by MK taxi (* ^ ^ *) After checking out, it costs about 1000 yen one way to Kyoto Station. However, it is not resident, so please allow yourself some time. You can use a common coupon. Sightseeing is about 5 minutes to Keihan Railway Shichijo Station, and the bus stop is near, so it is cheaper than subway transfer if you go to Shijo-Kigami, Tofukuji, Kibune, Shimogamo Shrine. There are fewer people than around Shijo and Kyoto stations, so those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle will feel at ease. On the other hand, it may be more inconvenient than Okura for those who want to have dinner outside the hotel.

I had to review this hotel because we have had such a wonderful experience traveling with our 18 month old. When we checked in they had a crib setup for us as promised, but not only that, there was a nice baby product kit in addition to the normally stocked bath items! We decided to try the nice Japanese restaurant and baby was sleeping when we arrived. The staff brought us a wonderful bassinet and blanket so he could sleep comfortably! We couldn t believe it! He slept through 3 of the courses. At breakfast the staff brought us a baby spoon, fork and bowl for him. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are bringing a small child, they are very accommodating! The room was excellent as well and food was great. The Geisha performance was also wonderful to see. Excellent experience all around.

You can watch it for free .

You can watch it for free .
It is evaluation only for restaurant.
I reserved a restaurant because I could see Maiko dance.
However, there was nothing even at 18:15, and there was a cheer from the lobby when eating.
About 30 minutes later, Maiko came to the table to greet and took a picture.
That? Dance?
I looked at the official website, but it was as shown in the image, so when I wondered and searched further, I found a traveler's blog.
[You can enjoy dancing in the hotel lobby]
That's it.
(* Neither a guest nor a restaurant user, just a traveler can enjoy it for free)
I missed it because there was no indication or announcement at the official website or at the restaurant.
I told the staff that "Non-staying people will come to see."
Don't say that.
I was disappointed because I paid for the service.

Every time I come here, the exquisite environment and the delicate traditional Japanese service are unforgettable. Opposite is the Kyoto National Museum, next to the thirty-three halls, and about a 20-minute walk to the Kiyomizu-dera Temple, a world cultural heritage site. Great location

This review is admittedly late as i didnt want to seem unappreciative of what the manager did as a follow up so i didnt leave this as a one star as i would have liked.

we stayed here two nights before we were heading to the tejikara fire festival and the takayama spring festival. this hotel completely soured my view of the entire city of kyoto.

we do not speak japanese but have been to japan often and find concerierges super helpful. We were scheduled to leave kyoto and spend the night in gifu for the fire festival but it was certain it was going to rain so i was panicing a bit, what if we were waiting out in the rain for a festival that wasnt going to happen? Same with the takayama festival. i found the numbers for the festivals and asked the conceirge to help me call to confirm.

To my surprise he refused and asked me to ask my next hotel to help which was a business hotel a daiwa. to illustrate the difference for those of you who just stay in accomodations at this level this hyatt is 300 to 600 a night a daiwa is 80 to 120 intended for business people.

Ok i thought maybe just a bad day ill try again later but this time with my girlfriemd instead of me with someone else. she asked and the conceriege she found was about to call when this guy pops in from the back and actually tells him not to help us.

I was furious but i was replaying the events in my head thinking was there something offensive i said. We ate dinner and we came back and i was still furious at why this gentlemen was taking such an active role in stopping us from getting help and i asked the night staff if i could speak to a manager to talk to about him.

unfortunately the staff brought him out instead who i found out wasnt even a a manager. this didnt help cause i was furiois and i layed into him. His excuse was that he didnt know if we were staying through the date of the festivals implying that they only help guests for the exact period they stay with them? i told him that we were checking out the day of the gifu fire festival one of the events he refused to help with and stopped others from helping us with. he said he didnt know, i dont understand that bs answer if he didnt know how did he determine we werent guests during that time in the first place he had never explained it as a requirement.

A manager i believe from the front desk came out and at this point i was feeling a bit embarassed as i hope im not usually the entitled type. he said he would take care of it. the next day to their credit they provided a huge document more than we asked for with printouts and was neccesary.

remember the question was simply are these festivals occuring and i provided the phone numbers for each like literally maybe 3 min. we had already done the research as to the where and when.

unfotunately, in my mind, this hotel will forever be tied to this conceirges behavior. he literally spent more time trying to stop anyone from helping us than it would have taken to help us.

On a side note the daiwa in gifu did not have a conceirge but the receptionist was super nice and called the number and confirmed it was happening. it took like maybe a minute in contrast to the two to three hours i spent with the other gentlemen at the hyatt regency. i still to this day do not understand his problem but if that is the attitude they take in kyoto id rather stay clear.

Also if you are a guest, please note that their policy must be to only help you on days you are a guest otherwise you are on your own.

The staff are very friendly and happy to assist. This hotel is unique and stunning with a clean and classy modern japanese touch. If you arrive at the JR Kyoto station use the West Exit and look for MK taxi services across the street. They will provide complimentary drop off to registered guest of Hyatt Regency Kyoto upon verification(phone call). Our view from the top floor suite was a panoramic pleasure both sunset and sunrise.

Design and structure of the hotel was great. The room was clean and it was cleaned well every day. I would say the location is the major set back. Though it is across the way from Kyoto's Museum - it was far from everything else. The tour services do not normally pick up from this location. Also, there was no option to also include breakfast with the stay. Thankfully, Kyoto is very walkable and the distance isn't that much of a setback. There is local transportation close by but we didn't use it as we wanted to save money and use our JR Pass.

It is within easy walking distance from Keihan Shichijo Station, and it is quite easy to go. The staff's response is polite and at an acceptable level. As it was not room use, we do not know the details in the room, but are probably kept in good condition. The passage and the area around the entrance, and the toilets are clean. If there is an opportunity to use the hotel for something, I would like to use it by all means.

Good location right next to Sanjusangendo. It is a pity that the old building has a low ceiling, but the Japanese-style renovation is very clean. Though it is a Western-style room, a Japanese cypress deep bath is glad to Japanese people.
It should be noted that breakfast. Western food is good, but Japanese food by all means. Japanese breakfast of this level is impressed at the hotel.

Nice minimalistic design in a basic twin room. Clean, nice breakfast, good location. The staff is nice. No wifi in the room. Bathroom has no locks or doors - which didn't feel very comfortable.

I have stayed during the state of emergency. I arrived quite early at 8 am, but I was guided to my room. Infection control was also solid. The room was not large but comfortable enough. Room service was used at night and Sette was used for breakfast. The food was very good. The volume is solid and it is excellent to eat
The correspondence of the staff was also good. The foreign staff was also very helpful. I used Hyatt for the first time in a long time, but it was this stay that made me want to become an elite member again

One of the best hotels I've ever been to in Japan. Electronic tablet menus to request services and items at any time of the night. Service was amazing, and they even let us check in early during a very busy season.

Breakfast was perfect, as was dinner at the steakhouse. Both were better than Park Hyatt Tokyo, which I think is saying something. Room was nice, though small and a bit basic. We would definitely stay here again!

I thought it would be nice to be able to rehydrate in hot Kyoto, everywhere in the building.
An antiperspirant was also prepared if I made a request, and it was saved.
It was very quiet and rested slowly though the big street should be close. There is a bus stop in front of Kyoto Station, which is easy to reach sightseeing spots. The taxi was also waiting for several cars, and the movement was smooth. Although it rained, I could not take a walk in the morning, but the opening gate of Kiyomizu Temple can be seen.

All rooms seem to be the same size and are small. The decor of the room was beautiful because it was linobe. A lot of foreigners gather for dance of evening Maiko, is it surreal if it sees from foreign eyes? I had a face that I did not know how to react. Do you need a brief explanation of each dance or something needed? When.

It's not too far from the train station but far enough from the crowds. Room is adequately sized and extremely clean. Make sure you know how to use the bus systems as it would be your best option from this hotel

You can take a taxi from Kyoto station soon. However, the room is too small for the price. There is no particular reason to recommend meals, but I think the only way to enjoy in-room dining is the menu.

Absolutely loved this hotel. I was looking to stay at a place with "zen" and the Hyatt regency Kyoto was exactly what I was looking for. Beautiful rooms with a view, nice Japanese style showers in the bathroom, good food, and they offered afternoon tea since it was in the summer. Conveniently located near shrines and temples and the Kyoto museum.
I've stayed at Hyatt's all over the world and this is one of my favorites...come relax and absorb the zen

It was an accommodation plan with breakfast, but the rooms are usually clean and stable. Breakfast is delicious anyway and I want to give most of the stars to breakfast.
The photo is not good enough to eat, but the acai balls and waffles were the best

This place is really nice, staff are soooo pleasant. Really well situated close to main shops and you can walk or grab a cab for not much. The laundry was very pricey and the English channels have japanese voice over so there was no English tv

The Hyatt Regency Kyoto is a very good hotel. It's located within walking distance of the old town which is a popular tourist attraction. The hotel is also walking distance to public transportation that will get you to most of Kyoto's attractions. The rooms at the hotel are a little of the small side but their modern and clean design makes them comfortable. The hotel has three restaurants and a great buffet breakfast in the morning.

It's a nice hotel in a good location, in fact it was the only Western hotel brand I saw (though I'm sure there are more, just not where I was walking). The price is quite high during Sakura season and the room wasn't as nice as some of our other hotels on this trip but it was very comfortable. Food and drink prices in the hotel are insanely expensive as you might expect

A little affordable lunch period with a kimono plan
The customer service was very impressed.
The feeling that time, timing, cleanliness and tenderness appear in the dishes. The dessert seemed to be a little less than the whole amount.

Luckily after 8:00 pm, I met with Maiko in the lobby and was able to take a picture together!
Hotel was low-rise, strict and nice atmosphere. Room amenities can be ordered with touch panel.
It would be any hotel, but it felt like there are a lot of Western guests here.

There are some reasons for why I rated this hotel at 4 stars. Starting with the location, which is not the best, since the hotel is located in a neighbourhood, where there isn't much to do. We had to take a taxi/bus for everywhere we went and everything we did. The second reason was the commodities, namely the closet space. This was so limited we had to store our clothes and other baggage in our suitcases the entire stay. However, the hotel provides excellent breakfast for added payment, it is kept very clean and the staff are kind. I was also glad to see the hotel has a well-equipped gym.

When in kyoto we usually always stay here. Not centrally located but it makes for a pleasant walk along the river to Sanjo / similar areas which are where the shopping / bars / restaurants are though everything is fairly spread.

The hotel is up to Hyatt's usual standards in Japan and so is very good. The hotel is fairly small and on occasion it can be noisy as you can hear loud noise from other rooms.

We've eaten in each of the restaurants : Touzan, Sette and the grill lounge.

Breakfast on a sunny day is great as you can sit on the terrace and when we visit we usually have friends living in Kyoto that come to join. The french banana toast off the a la carte is a favourite

One thing that i don't like is the basement parking. Its tight and narrow and you need to arrange to leave the car out the front / to the side if low/wide

I've written plenty on the hotel and the areas attractions elsewhere
