Nicest place I've stayed in a while. Rooms were immaculate. The staff was very accommodating and was able to move us to a view room with no problem. Restaurant food was slightly overpriced but decent. Absolutely would stay here again.

Took over an hour and three requests to get non-down pillows after initial request at check in. Bathroom handle was not attached and fell off the door and fell on my foot! Location and amenities were good, overall service for the price was not.

The Hyatt Regency in HB is definitely a fun getaway if you want to stay close to home without feeling so. It s right there on PCH just down the road from Downtown and Pacific City.

Just going there, you know that you re at no budget hotel. But in real estate it s all about location, location, location. You can see the waves from the grounds. The property spans pretty widely and there are several places to lounge around, take a dip, or even slide down a large pool slide. The rooms are nicely laid out and there are nice small touches, such as night lights that light up the floor if you should happen to need to go to the bathroom in the middle of night and USB ports on each night stand to charge your peripherals.

One big and very pleasant surprise is the wall mounted television. It s not what you re used to... I mean unless you have a 65-70 flat panel already at home.

If I had one gripe, it would be the tiny pillows on the king size bed that my wife and I shared. I would ve expected a little more of a more upscale place.

Otherwise, spend a day at the pool and load up on blended beverages and the nachos... those were super delicious with chicken. Do not pass up on that.

Overall I would stay here again.... great area, lots of nice touches, right by the ocean. Last but not least the staff is great.

Not great. What's good about this Hyatt has a lot to do with their scenic location but little to do with their actual service which in all honesty could be improved in more than one way. All they offer is sub-par with the notable exception of the menu which I found to be pretty good. If you are looking to get excellent hospitality service look elsewhere. It is a busy hotel and the staff looked permanently stressed. You could see it in their faces and hear it in their voice. They were short tempered and on edge. The worst were the valet parking guys, or at least a couple of them and the concierge who suggested I just goggled my way out of my question. Ha. Why did I think she'd know the area better than goggle! Housekeeping, room service staff as well as front desk staff, with a couple of exceptions, seemed like they understood the business. The street is very noisy as well, but that comes with the territory. You can have your pet in the room but the hotel per se is not pet-friendly at all. You can't really have your pet with you anywhere. In short, not a hotel to relax and rest. I was so tired after my stay here I actually extended my vacation for two more days and I'm on my way to a resort and spa in San Diego now. Ha. No hard feelings though!

LOVE it there - fantastic experience. Great rooms, plenty of everything - just the best. AND - the beach is right across the street!! We spent a week there for a work conference - but we were also able to enjoy the beach, go bicycling(rented bikes at Toes On The Nose right there in the hotel), ate at the restaurants, walked the bike path, used the fitness center - could not have asked for a better experience. We can't wait to go back!

Right next to the beach with crossover bridge to take you to the beach safely without crossing a highway full of traffic. It's a huge place for reception such as wedding party or business conference. Parking lot is quite big to accommodate parking for guests with valet service.

I love this hotel. Absolutely gorgeous property, beautiful setting, great location, excellent amenities. There are three different pool areas, and kids love the water slides and wading pools. Walk bridge to the beach where the hotel offers free beach chairs, umbrellas and towels.

This Hyatt is the upper end of a 4-star resort. The 3 hot tub lounging area is for all guests and has the relaxing feel you might get from lounging at an all adult pool (although there are children). The buffet breakfast is served on very heavy plates, etc that seem very classy and the restaurant is upscale (although not worth the $30 buffet price if I had to pay for myself) -- another example of what is more in line with a five star hotel. Also, I've stayed at the Hilton next door, and the Hyatt's bridge to the beach makes the beach feel posh and a part of the resort almost -- a real impact on the experience. And the partial oceans are beautiful even though the garden views could still be quite enjoyable too. The grounds are such a nice resort, like being in Hawaii even though I didn't have to take the flight. If you want an upper feeling full resort experience, this is it!

Stayed in this hotel for a conference and really enjoyed my stay here. Staff was friendly and helpful for the most part. The proximity to the beach was great. Amenities (swimming pool, hot tub etc) were well maintained. Food in the onsite restaurants were better than expected. Took a surfing lesson and it was a lot of fun. However just like any upscale resort, expect to pay more for activities and merchandise from the onsite stores.

Actually we came to tour the hotel. We have stayed at the Hyatt Newport for over 25 years and wanted to have a look at the Huntington Hyatt. The front desk staff was super helpful and friendly. She gave us a key to acess the hotel pools and hallways. What a change from the Newporter. This hotel had multiple restaurants, shops, pools, water slides, private spas, little private alcoves with fireplaces, game room for the kids, etc etc... Then we were taken over the PCH Hiway to the beach area which is set aside for the private use of the hotel guests offering, umbrellas, chairs and food service!! Needless to say our next visit and stay in SoCal will be at the Huntington Hyatt!! Thank you for your hospitality!

HYATT failed to provide contracted room, or pull out sofa bed for 14 year old. Manager stated they were sold out when rooms were available to switch or upgrade. Housekeeping did not provide adequate towels or failed turn down service 4 conservative nights. 14 year old stayed with friends. Ridiculous management. Negative standouts were front desk rudeness, tiny triple room and poor housekeeping. Stay at Hilton property next door- updating but nicer
