Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa Review

Great staff. Beautiful beach location. Very large and modern room. Great amenities. Two visits to this hotel and we would definitely return here.

We just went for appetizers and to relax at the beach. It was very nice and I was pleased with the experience.

Wonderful time. I was on crutches at the time and I found a rental company below the hotel which provides mobility scooters, fun go cart type cars, bikes, etc... They allowed me to have some independence while unable to walk. Highly recommend you check this out!

The hotel is clean and is located in a wonderful spot. Easy access to the beach and the "boardwalk". I will be returning.

One of the best resorts I have been to! Perfect for anyone wanting to relax or for new honeymooners! I would highly recommend coming, the staff are so kind and willing to help!

The staff was very friendly and willing to help me and my family have a fun and safe vacation. Also, to get to the beach was a short walk across the street from the resort!!

Very nice skyterrace rooms. Amenities were on par with other same level hotels. Very friendly service at front desk.

Beware the price they advertise. It's not final. There is going to be a parking fee than hotel fee than a tax on fee than a fee on tax and such.
This hotel is just money squeezer. There are better options with honest prices.

This Beach was freaking awesome! I l ve that place! 2nd Spring Break there. It was a little windy this year but still beautiful!

My room had an amazing view, however, the housekeeper forgot to close the refrigerator prior to my arrival, so the floor was soaking wet. The next day I was about to take a shower and there was no shampoo or conditioner, but I had 4 lotions there instead. I asked the housekeeper for shampoo, but she said she can only give me lotion, that she doesn't have any shampoo, yet she is cleaning rooms and stocking guest rooms with lotion only after they spent the day at the beach. My hairdryer was so nasty I had to wash my hands after I used it. It was broken and all sticky from dirt. Later, I went to eat at their restaurant. After waiting for a very long time the fish I ordered smelled really bad. The manager came by to apologize and offered to give me a different meal. I said any other fish will be fine. They brought me a grouper instead, and after I sat there for an hour waiting for my food, while everyone else was finished, they actually charged me for the more expensive dish I got as a replacement. I paid it, but I was beyond words. This is exactly how restaurants lose business.

Nice, comfortable beds. Nice staff. Forced into valet parking.

Was in town for a conference that took place at the hotel. Room renovations are ongoing, but may be done about a month from the date of this review or less. I was in a huge room that's meant to accommodate families with it having 2 bathrooms, a full size fridge and 2 queen beds. Room was clean, WiFi worked and staff were friendly and helpful. Food from their restaurant was pretty good as well. Last, but not least, the hotel is short walk to the beach. Definitely, looking forward to coming back next year!

Had a 2 bedroom suite with kitchen and 2 balconies.
This place is beautiful and right across the street from the beach.
The kids loved the pool and we loved bar near the pool more.

Like may others I too was ripped off by their parking! When you drive into their public parking ramp there is one sign that says $5 per hour parking. I thought the rate was a bit steep but went ahead with it because there weren't any alternatives at the time. We actually only stayed for 40 minutes but when we attempted to leave the machine charged us $15!

Too expensive the parking lot is not fair, look for another parking lot

Hotel was located right on the beach with a beautiful view of the gulf. Dinner was very good but was busier than we were expecting. I would return again.

Thank you to Katie for the upgrade to the master suite. This was the best hotel stay of my life! Immaculately clean during covid. Staff was friendly and the restaurant downstairs is expensive, but yummy.

Loved the beach being so close by. Price was a little on the high side. But great view great staff.will tell my family in blue.

Got robbed my housekeeping and management were in denial, worst 4 night of hell ever. Do not stay here you will regret it! Ridiculous waste of money with the type of behavior from staff. If I could have given 0 stars I would have.

Only stayed in the parking garage but it was easy to access and found a spot right away. Super close to the beach and the bathrooms are pretty much right across the street, on the beach, if you've had a long drive.

Its ok, slow service, but they are very accomadating when its your turn, very busy so it takes time. Nice rooms, lots of ammenities, right on the beach. Huge, so stuff is a trek, the full kitchen is very nice. Not many vegan options in the restaurants, they will make you something special, but if you just want to order off the menu and not make a big deal you are out of luck.

The only thing that I didn't understand about this hotel is that there was no coffee included in the breakfast buffet. Also I wish that I was told that I can sign up to the Hyattworld program before I checked out so I could collect points for my stay.
Besides that it was a very nice, clean hotel.

We are loving our trip. My husband won 3 years in a row a trip here and we saved up and took all 4 kids here. We love our 2 bedroom suite and the staff are amazingly friendly. The room is super clean
The spa couples massage is amazing and very recommended.

Great hotel, only complaint is the inexplicable choice of surrounding both the main pool and children's pool with slick tile. My own child and numerous others slipped and fell during our time out by the pool.

The drinks were really good and the service was very professional

Excellent experience. My wife and I initially wanted to terminate our stay, because we arrived to a room that did not meet our expectations. This was our 4th wedding anniversary, and after speaking with reception about our concerns, they immediately accommodated us and went above and beyond to make our stay special. The common areas are modern with light colors and have the right amount of luxury for a hotel in this class. The views are amazing, especially from the 8th floor where the pool and bar area overlook the Gulf of Mexico. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a room that overlooked both the pool and the gulf where the views of the sunset and blue water were sublime. The food at both the Shor restaurant (try the lobster mac&cheese) as well as the pool bar (try the carnitas tacos and donut holes) was both filling and delicious at a price point that didn't upset you. Simply the best experience you can have in Clearwater.

Beautiful location and great rooms. I proposed to my girlfriend while staying here and the results were awesome. Would definitely recommend.

I have been to this hotel 2 times. The stay was amazing! Staff was very patient, sweet, and we're very helpful. First stay was in about 2012 we got a handicapped room due to my mother being hemiplegic. The room was clean and smelled like nice flowers. The shower was perfect for my mother to go into without struggling. The bathroom was nice and big so she can roll her wheel chair in. The beds are nice and clean. When we came back from a full day of swimming, (my best friend came with us on the trip) we came back to the room once again being nice and clean and found cute chocolates shaped like seashells wrapped in nice gold wrapping , and rested on both beds in the room!! I was so shocked and happy! the bathrooms are so clean and the soaps, lotions, etc smelled lovely. the food tasted super good (my favorite is the salmon). we had a beautiful view of the beach. the pool WAS NOT freezing cold. it was heated. the pool has a breath taking view of the beach and sundown!

second stay in 2014 was even BETTER. (i invited the same friend i did in 2012) when we first got to the hotel everyone was still very patient and sweet. check out was also fantastic (like always). it still smelled like gorgeous flowers. once we got to our room, it looked even better than the other room we stayed in. it had a better view of the beach. my mother still was able to get around, which is a huge bonus. when we first got to the room, 20 mim later room service knocked on our door. they had a tray filled with grapes, strawberries, and amazing aged cheese. i love cheese. so this made me happy. the cheese was completely free. it came with our room!!!! amazing!!! we all went to bed and slept comfortably and happy. room service is still sweet. the women who clean the rooms are really funny and respwctful. i want to go back a third time this summer. the place is so welcoming and amazing. if your planning to go here, PLEASE DO SO!!

Every single employee here was fantastic! I had an issue and called the front desk, Monique was more than happy to work with me and accommodated my reservation to meet my needs. I am so grateful. The hotel was top notch in service from the valet to the check out process. The bed was comfortable and the room was ok. A/C unit can be very loud and the room was a bit dirty (stains on carpet and furniture and dirt in the corners of the room), carpet also felt wet when we checked in. We ended up leaving based on these reasons and the staff were extremely accommodating. Like another reviewer said, it could use a coat of paint in the hallways and rooms.

The Regency was very upscale, staff was professional and very friendly. Although I did not stay overnight, I would definitely be a guest in the future.

Wonderful check-in with champagne, friendly staff, excellent room, great pool/jacuzzi, good gym, and prime location! We were a little bummed that housekeeping did not come to clean 1 out of our 6 night stay. Also, this hotel seemed to cater more to families than couples. Wyndham Grand next door seemed like a newer and better hotel for couples.

Great vacation at the Hyatt, staff is very accommodating, downstairs restaurant has great food. This hotel is great for families, kids will have a great time here, especially at the rooftop pool. FYI; Laundry room on every floor but detergent not included, resort fee doesn't cover beach chairs, and parking is not for free. Attached pictures of sunrise and rooftop pool.

I stayed in one of the king ocean front rooms with a balcony as you can see in the photo. The plus was that we could see the gulf, the negative was that we had the obstruction of a full ocean view due to the two towers.
What I liked about the hotel: location is perfect and you just walk across the street to a gorgeous beach with cabanas and chairs to rent. The room was enormous at 900 sq feet, the staff go out of their way to make sure your stay is excellent.
What I would like to see improved: the hotel is showing its age. The toilet in my my room didn t flush without maintenance, the decor is dated, each floor was intensely hot and not air conditioned when you exited the elevator, the pool was chilled and I would have liked it heated, the hot tub doesn t have whirlpool bubble jets, but all in all I had a great stay, I will return, and I recommend others to stay here.
