A/C in the rooms was pretty bad and parking was expensive however it was a great room with a nicer staff!
Wonderful hotel. View, room, service and location are great
I stayed here for a week and the service was very good. The hotel is very clean and the free breakfast every morning is very good. It was my birthday so they gave me free beer! I highly recommend it!!
They set up a nice comfortable and professional setting
Loved our stay. Great for a family. Breakfast included was a must, although more seating was needed. Room was always clean imacuatly. Front desk staff happy to help.
Overall, decent rooms. Very spacious. Guest services are very helpful for planning tours around the area and your stay at the hotel. Breakfast is filled with fresh fruit and freshly cooked foods. Would come back again
Great hotel with small pool and great breakfast bar. The hotel room was a good size for what we had paid for.
Consistently good service with nice location!! Breakfast selection could be better!
the suite we stayed in was amazing. the food at the buffet can vary depending on your taste (loved the banana foster). no issues at all aND there is good entertainment with the homeless people outside arguing at people
Great check in experience with Justin at the front desk. He went out of his way to find us a great view, for us first-time Hawaii visitors. Many thanks! Third floor pool deck has comfy couches, nice view and a fire at night, and an absolute feast for breakfast! Vegan tofu and GF bread! Eggs are local, cage free organic and delicious! Rooms are spacious, nicely appointed, and have balconies. Great location, 2 blocks from kid-friendly Waikiki walled beach.
Great customer service. Got a nice sized room with a beach-view balcony. Only issue was that the room could use a renovation.
Location was great! Only a block and a half from the beach! Staff is amazing-very genuine and top notch!
The staff are super friendly and professional. The location is also very convenient. Parking gets full fast so but there's a parking garage across the street that's $30/day. Only accepts cash so be sure to pack plenty of cash. They have better deals for the more days you park. You're allowed reentry. Valet parking is available at the hotel but it's $35/day and no discounts for staying longer. Rooms are small but the beds are comfy. I slept like a rock on my first night here. I stayed on the mezzanine floor and couldn't hear a thing. The windows are very well sound-proofed. Complimentary breakfast is available but I wouldn't bother since there's so many good local food places around. There are plenty of places to get cheap and tasty eats outside near the hotel. Many places are walking distance. Would definitely stay here again!
Great location two blocks from the beach. The staff is extremely friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have what you need. The beds are very comfortable and the room is a good size and very clean. We were in a room with two queens and an ocean view. Before breakfast (included) we'd sip coffee on the balcony and gaze at the ocean. We appreciated the "go green" program where you care for your own room and receive a discount. We'll be back
We booked 2 month in advance. We asked to get a quiet room on a high floor. When we arrived they wanted to give us a room on the 1st floor. We had to pay for an upgrade. The hotel is in a great location but the parking is a little pricey. There is a cheaper parking garage across the street. The breakfast was disappointing and extremely crowded, it was very difficult to find a place to sit. It was also outdoor so was unpleasant during the rain. The swimming pool was disappointing as well
The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Clean room and bathroom. Breakfast was great. Only improvement needed is bathroom lighting. Difficult doing makeup but the staff made up for it.
Mahalo nui for an amazing time Hyatt Place Waikiki. We loved our stay with you. We came as a family of 6 and loved our time there. We are now back in Kauai but hopefully can be back there soon. Shout out to your amazing staff Jerry. He was so helpful and went above and beyond the extra mile when he was heating up my husbands curry. Only con would be the microwave lol. I wish you have a microwave somewhere we can access so we don t have to keep asking someone to heat up our food. Great amount of free breakfast. Mahalo again. Till next time.
The rooms are modern and comfortable, and are close to shopping mall & waikiki beaches.
It is close to Waikiki Beach and is also in a good location for shopping malls around.
The facility is not new, but it is clean.
We have a laundry facility, so we went to the beach and it was nice to have a laundry and a balcony.
Good breakfast, room clean, super comfortable beds, nice and helpful staff.
Good location. Beach and shops within walking distance.
Best place to stay in Waikiki Beach. Couple minutes walking distance to the beach! Overall, very nice place to stay
The breakfast was good and the beds were comfortable.
Clean rooms, nice staff, location is pretty good as well, would recommend.
Do not expect to get self parking and plan to either pay 35+tip for valet or 30/d across the street. There are only two elevators and they take forever to arrive.
Clean rooms. They provide free breakfast everyday beginning at 6:30. Minutes from the beach! They provide free towels to take with you! Awesome customer service! Will be back soon!!!
Really nice, big rooms with free breakfast and an okay view of the ocean, at a great rate
Wonderful staff, especially our awesome housekeeper Della-say. Breakfast was great, lots of healthy options! Super close beach access! Will definitely return .
Beautiful hotel. Great staff. Just be careful if you valet your car. They park it right up against the curb which could lead to scratching
Staff were very nice and always helpful. The rooms were cleaned daily and quite comfortable.
Although it was a city view, it was quieter than other hotels, and the service was nice and comfortable. It may be because it did not overlap with the children and group guests, but I was able to relax and enjoy my breakfast.
The staff went above and beyond to help us. The hotel is a short walk from the beach .. we will definitely stay next time we're in Waikiki!
The rooms are nice and the location is great, but their pillows are all air, they have a ridiculous resort fee but no resort features, the breakfast buffet is all meh food (Denny s is around the corner, just go there), parking is over the top expensive, and if you have mail delivered here, they charge a fee per parcel to accept it.
it was a really good hotel with good service, but the elevator took absolutely way too long for it to arrive, it seems like it about to come to my floor and then it doesn't
All staff was so courteous and friendly. Really enjoyed the stay.
They had a huge patio deck with several chairs and 3 couches. Every morning they had complimentary breakfast, and every day there was a little place to eat as well as two stores down in an open lobby (no walls and doors included). Their service was great and they had wonderful rooms with several channels, and Wifi. They also provided computers which were free of charge! If you go to Hawaii and Waikiki!
Upon check in, there was a screw up on room type, also screwed up on giving us room card with no breakfast ..... I was relaxed on vacation but Hyatt Place made me UNRELAXED on first day .... have to be very careful on every detail to make sure things are proper from then on. Staff did not read my voucher, which had all our names, room, breakfast details, but instead asked me to write our names on a piece of paper ... when I asked about breakfast time, they said we have no breakfast! So it got fixed... but we only realised it must be a wrong room type for us after getting to the room. Too bad we already got checked in and could only change room the next day at 3pm, according to staff as there was no other rooms... which I very much doubt.... Who has the energy to struggle with them after a long flight?. There goes our 1st day of vacation spending time on unpack, repack, change room the next day at 3 pm, and room was not ready yet for changing when we got to the conceige. Rest of the stay was good though, but totally avoidable mistakes screwed our vacation first day in Hawaii. Does Hyatt management or staff Go on vacation and want their first day checking into Hyatt to be like our experience? Cut a 7 days vacation to 6 with more hassles?
I had a very pleasant stay at Hyatt place.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Justin upgraded us to a room that had an awesome view of Diamond head. Waking up to this great view and a very welcoming atmosphere was breathtaking. I would like to give special thanks to the employees at Hyatt especially to Justin, Dino and Lei for making our stay a very pleasant one.
Really nice place. They offer us an upgrade for our honeymoon (+40$/night). They gave us a sparkling wine bottle.
The hotel was calm even though it was full.
The breakfast buffet was good.
The 5$ they offer to spend everyday at the lobby for fruits or chocolate (or anything else) was really appreciated!
Nice hotel. A little dated. It feels like it is at the end of the busy section. Turn left at the end of the road for a much more private beach experience. We'd stay here again.
I had a good time staying in this hotel. First time for me, and I thought it went well. The staff was nice and the hotel was clean. They even offered free breakfast, and that saved us money.
The place was great, good size for rooms, they where very clean and presentable
We loved our stay here. A hotel is typically just a place to lay your head down and rest, not the main attraction of what your there for. With that said the room we got was great. Clean, spacious with a decent view of Diamond head and part of Waikiki beach. Our room had a king size bed, and sofa bed for our two little ones. Main Bed was comfy, Sofa bed seemed a little hard but the kids were cool with it, AC worked great. Breakfast buffet was included daily, decent breakfast, good coffee. There's a pool on the 3rd floor, it isnt large but it's decent. My only complaint are the elevators, they take quite a while when called on.
The location is spectacular, short 5 min walk to the beach, right down the street from shopping.
The make or break of any hotel is it's staff. The staff at Hyatt Place are definitely on the ball. From the moment we booked our trip before even arriving we called to arrange a ride to the hotel, they don't offer Shuttle service but they do have a deal with a local taxi company that charges a flat rate which is a lot cheaper than anything else we could find. Once at the hotel all the staff were very accommodating. Giving us great tips on places to eat, to visit that are off the beaten path. From front desk, to the bar, from the valet to the cleaning crew they all made our trip fantastic.
I had a great time staying there, and would have no problem staying there again.
Mahalo everyone
Clean and new 14-story hotel. Rooms are a little small but adequate. Valet parking only. The driveway area can get busy and crowded, especially during checkout time. Plan for a bit of a wait for your car during checkout. The hotel is about a block from the beach. The included breakfast is ok. It's limited and not quite as much as what you see in the advertising poster. The free WiFi is good.
***WARNING*** If you are doing quarentine with pets, do NOT stay with them!!! They will not let your pets go outside to use the potty. They told us that they are not responsible for pets and to use the balcony. We are on the fithteenth floor and windy as hell. We tried keeping him outside but got called because of complaints of our pet whining. So we can't keep him outside and if we keep him inside he potties on the carpet floor. I have two children. This this is very unsanitary for my family.
My family and I stayed here for two nights, the room was small, but it was clean and comfortable. The hotel was about 5 minutes walk from the beach and the breakfast was very general.
It is a short walk to the beach and good access. Facilities of room are standard hotel of the United States and should not expect the level of Japanese resort hotel. I feel that prices, especially restaurant charges, have risen considerably since I came last time. In addition, the counter for Japanese people, such as the counter, was more friendly to Japanese people.
Great location, one minute from the beach and right in the heart of all the shopping. Breakfast is decent and comparable to other free style complimentary buffets. Cons: terrible lighting in the bathroom-it mattered to me as I was in Waikiki to get married. Also the AC cannot be turned down to be below 68. Here's the catch-68 feels really cold typically but in Hawaii when it was humid we had it at 68 all day long and the room felt more like 74. I am usually cold and never complain about being too hot but it was difficult to sleep! The AC Units are old and small maybe that's the reason why they don't allow you to turn down the temp. This is honestly the biggest downside.
I used it because it was cheaper than other hotels and had breakfast.
(Comment from a position where I can not speak English and am not used to traveling abroad)
There are few shops compared to luxury hotels that have a lot of shops and facilities, but they have everything you need and there is a sense of luxury for the price, so I thought it was a good hotel.
It was convenient because the trolley platform operated by a Japanese travel agency was also nearby.
(I think it's more efficient to get on the trolley first and to understand the intuition and course)
Breakfast is on the terrace, so when it rains, the number of seats you can sit down is dramatically reduced and crowded.
I couldn't find anyone who was fluent in Japanese, but I wasn't particularly troubled.
Service was great people are always so happy to help all the way from the front desk up to the maintenance guy that was an elevator
Great location to walk to a lot of things (shopping, eating, beach etc). Breakfast food wasn't good but restaurant food was great. Pool was good. Wish they had a hot tub. Rooms were nice.
Close to the beach. The room is clean. They only have 2 elevators and the wait time for them can be long.
This place is beautiful since the remodel. I enjoyed my stay and like that is only one block from Waikiki beach. The lobby is comfortable and the staff went above and beyond to take care of our ever need.
Loving it here the staff are so friendly and helpful , the food delicious, enjoyed entertainment, close to everything you could want
We stayed for four nights. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is top-notch, within walking distance to everything. Breakfast is included, with a wide range of options e.g. scrambled eggs, potatoes, pancake/waffle, yogurt, different types of bread, fruit juice etc. My favorite is the fresh-cut fruit, so sweet. We parked offsite (cheaper) but the garage is literally just across the street. Bed is comfortable and the room is mostly clean.
Tips: Apparently Saturday Waikiki traffic is always bad, so budget for extra time to/from hotel if you are driving. Keep the air-conditioning on high even when you are not in the room. Our experience - on the days when we left the air-conditioning on high, we didn't see any bugs. One day we turned the air-conditioning down and when we returned we saw roaches on the bureau and in the bathroom. It was the night before we checked out so we didn't bother to switch to another room. Informed the management and they were apologetic about it.
I stay here every time when I come to Honolulu. Nice hotel. Buffet breakfast included it was very nice. Good location. Will stay here again.
Friendly staff, great service, amazing breakfast buffet, comfy bed, great location, good price, what more do you want really. It has a really small pool, but honestly most places here in Waikiki have small pools. With the beach being so close you hardly even need a pool so to us it doesn t really matter.
We looked at a lot of hotels and ended up booking this hotel, we just went with a mountain view room, we are not disappointed.
Nicely located walking distance to the beach. They provide towels for you to bring with you to beach. There is also a pool in this hotel, a bit small and not that kid/toddler friendly. Valet parking is recommended since public parking is as expensive as valet.
Staff is very friendly. Customer service was fabulous. Surprised by the free breakfast. Pineapple is delicious.
Pool could be a little bit more impressive. Room was top notch. Take the stairs because elevators go very slow and a lot of people are using the only two for the entire hotel.
We stayed here for 6 nights on our first Hawaii trip. Rooms are nice and clean and room service is great! Breakfast is well put together and is serviced well. Staff is extremely helpful. Walkable distance to zoo, aquarium, eateries and the beach itself. Great location if travelling with kids. Only minus point is that the 3rd floor pool gets cold because it gets shaded between buildings. So could not use that much. Otherwise perfect!
We had a wonderful vacation. We loved the location, the staff was great, the food was good. A great spot over all.
The beach is literally down the street(2min), has a big free breakfast and friendly staff
Great rooms, very clean and elegant. One block from the beach! Next to convenience store as well
Well ... I used to use the pool only ... It's small. It is low in depth and there is no view .. But there are so many people that I can do a lot of people watching. Room ... I have no idea :)
About a block from the beach, but still a great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Valet is a great option; quick and responsive to get car
We stayed there for 10 days. It was great. Staff were amazing and couldn't be more accommodating. Would definitely recommend this for others.
Nice place, close to the beach, would be nice if there was a trained bartender at night -although the dude helping us was nice enough-, cheaper parking would be better, Free breakfast is always good but doesn't taste too hot- only recommend if your trying to budget-, otherwise friendly staff.
Perfect location at one end of Kalakaua Avenue, right near a Trolley station that'll take you around Waikiki for $2. All the tour company buses pick you up from right out the front or within a minutes walk. The beach is seriously 5 minute walk, and the price is fantastic.
There is a Dominos right down stairs that closes at 2am if you have a late night out (which is actually pretty good).
The hotel staff were fantastic, they held our luggage while our room was being ready as we landed really early. Staff were super friendly. Rooms were clean, beds and bathroom and showers were spotless! Definitely recommend for the price.
Stayed here for the first night of our honeymoon and had a great experience. The staff was super helpful and checkin was a breeze. It s in a great location, and it s really close to the beaches & shops. Everything was really clean and the beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend this place!
