Love this place! The staff does an excellent job with customer service and have extremely fair pricing. I'm definitely sticking with this store. I took my girlfriends diamond tennis bracelet in to get sized and cleaned and it came back perfectly! This is where I'll be buying her first engagement ring and probably her wedding ring!

The short of it is that Hurdles is very poor at customer service delivery. I purchased a new watch band for my Luminox watch in December, 2013, and by June, 2014, six months later the band split and ready to break apart. I paid $29.95 for the band that lasted six months. Watch bands have lasted two to three years in this price range from my experience. I went back and they did give a replacement band for the broken one. The value of the replacement one is $19.95. I requested ten dollars refund for the broken one, due to it being defective.Their answer was no. As I said POOR customer service. They lost a present and future customer due to $10.00 of cheapness on their part. The only reason they garner one star is for replacing a $29.95 band for a $19.95 band. Had my wedding ring designed here many years ago. Since then, we've bought several pieces from them, including my wedding band, and also had some diamond studs converted to dangling earrings. Excellent service and fair prices. Hard to walk by without stopping in.

I was looking for a unique engagement ring, and after trying multiple stores, I walked into Hurdles and was immediately impressed. Traci was incredibly helpful in walking me through the process of selecting a diamond and setting that was both within my budget and design parameters. Most importantly, my fiance loves the ring, so much so that I catch her starring at it more than once a day. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

I came in with a white gold necklace for a repair, I was expecting to drop the necklace off and get notified in a couple day that its been fixed however, that was not the case the woman working was able to fix the necklace in just a couple minutes while I browsed around and to top it off she didn't even charge me! Great experience and excellent customer service - thats how you bring me back in to buy a big ticket item.

I had an absolutely spectacular experience working with Keith. I had been toying with an idea for a very unusual custom engagement ring for my girlfriend, and I went to Hurdle's because they seemed reputable, tasteful, and Keith gave me the lowest quote of anyone in town.
When I got there, Keith seemed to understand my goals for the ring perfectly, and the very first sketch he made was almost exactly how I had envisioned it. The experience just got better from there! The final cost (including tax) was 10% less than he had originally quoted, the ring looked even better than it had in the computer drawings, and my fiancee literally thinks it's the most beautiful ring she's ever seen.

A year ago I was looking for a nice piece of jewelry for my girlfriend and went to several other shops before I found hurdles. I was unsure of what I was was looking for and I got expert advice for her preferences and my price range. The necklace I found there was perfect and she wears it daily. This year I came back hoping to find something to compliment it. I can't imagine better expertise and professionalism from the staff and although she won't get it for a couple days I am confident the piece we decided on is perfect. Even though you may find a less expensive option elsewhere there is no substitute for the expert advice you can find at this shop. They have undoubtedly earned a customer for life. Thank you.

I recently brought in a pearl necklace the had belonged to my grandmother in order to get it cleaned and repaired to wear for my upcoming wedding. Upon drop off, I was informed that the necklace was an imitation disappointing, but equally as sentimental to me and my family, so I went through with the work. I explicitly asked about cleaning when dropping it off, as it had lots of build up of grime between the beads from years of wear, and was told that cleaning was standard with jewelry repair. This also appears to be a general standard in the industry and has been the case with other pieces I ve had repaired in the past elsewhere. Upon pickup, the necklace was as dirty as it was when I dropped it off. The pearls were being restrung so they could have been cleaned when the necklace was disassembled, the dirt wipes off easily besides the very hard-to-clean location between the beads. I brought this up and was told that there was nothing that could be done and was given a cloth to clean them myself. It was implied that the necklace was in bad shape and not worth cleaning because it isn t real, but as I ve been gently working to get it clean, all supposed peeling is just the dirt that I had wanted cleaned off. Aside from one scratch on a bigger bead, the necklace appears to be in great shape for its age. I am extremely disappointed to have paid $135 (the price for repair regardless of the actual value of the jewelry fine if the work had been as expected) for only half the service I was expecting, and fear that my own attempt to clean them is going to damage the new strings since the dirt is located between the beads, making this all for nothing. I was considering bringing in my antique engagement ring to get a stone secured, but have the impression that they do not take the same care for work that they don t consider to be high end so I ll be looking elsewhere. On the plus side, the turn around time was reasonable and the pearls were restrung well as far as I can tell besides the cleaning.

I'd been hoping for the means to afford a Titanium Breitling Avenger Seawolf for a number of years, and new Boulder job circumstances made that a reality a couple of years ago. Even though the original Ti Seawolf was being swapped for a newer model at the time (I bought my Series I on factory discount from Hurdles), my experience at their store was nothing less than "best customer" outstanding. The staff (Jessica specifically) had zero ego or "you_can_afford_more" pressure, and I've been thrilled with my watch since. Yes, I was buying something "on sale" but the entire staff made me feel like I were buying a $20k one-of-a-kind piece. I recently added a new OEM Breitling strap to my watch and that purchase experience was equally awesome, with no pressure. Jess and staff could have pushed me into something much more expensive, but instead found something perfect in my budget. I'll be buying more from Hurdles based on my experiences in the very near future... Hurdles' staff and customer care are both without par!

They took a look and even though it wasn't their fault the owner (Keith) gave us a break on replacing the stone and didn't charge for setting it.
Beyond that every experience I've had here has been absolutely stellar.

I purchased a custom engagement ring for my fiancee from Hurdle's Jewelry after doing a lot of shopping around. Marisa guided me through the whole process and was incredibly helpful! I can't say enough about her excellent service and honesty throughout. The owner provided images of the ring design and it turned out exactly as we discussed. My fiancee loves it and is constantly getting compliments on the ring. They also had the best prices of all the jewelers I visited in Denver and Boulder hands down. I have been an insurance agent for over 40 years. I had them update an appraisal on a diamond watch. Their appraisal was 25% less than the older appraisal, which was done by a reputable jewelry dealer in Boulder 10 years earlier. When I ask why such a difference, it was not a clear answer other than prices change. The watch has over 80 diamonds and I know that diamonds have not decreased in value by 25% over the last 10 years. I have NEVER had an insured come to me and ask to lower their jewelry coverage because their appraisal went down, let alone 25%. I would not recommend my insureds to use them for an appraisal.
