Hunter House Hamburgers Review

Looks like pork taste like pork, it is pork,
I m still cooking for fifty years 3 restaurants later.
To many onions and lots of grease on those burgers.
Very disappointed, all the flavor is in the onions pork and grease. Whitest beef I've ever seen. I saw the box with raw meat didn't look good.looked white to me, I even ordered double meat.Very disappointed. Way better at motz burgers ,fort st

The best burgers for a quick small burger. A little 60's,70's era cafe burger. Very well know and it is packed especially on the weekends. So many people there during the Woodward Cruise they have to bring &set-up food in their parking lot. They have their own travel food bus they can cook from. And very well organized for so many people wanting a burger. They also cater parties. Excellent

Excellent restaurant, too bad that Birmingham is closing it down to build another office and parking lot.

A cute little place where I would often walk my dogs when we lived in Birmingham....history just oozes out of this tiny place that is exactly like the dinners of the past....little places like this...where some. like the ice cream and even farm fruit stands of our pasts....were only open in. the summer.I hope a place like this remains in Birmingham forever.

Agree with rating. Great sliders. Been a regular since we stopped for a coffee, quarter in juke box , maybe a doughnut, definitely a quick dance to Rock Around The Clock. Then , off to Derby Junior High on our Cushman Eagles. Hunter House remains the same!! WONDERFUL. just a little older.

Great burgers. Try to eat outside or as take out, otherwise you will smell like this place for hours afterwards. They could definitely use better ventilation inside.

Food is always fresh and cooked to order. Perfect little slider. I recommend getting a double or a triple, so the bun to burger ratio will be consistent. They always seem to go a little heavy on the onion, so I always tell them light or no onion at all. Great flavor, quick service. Haven't had a shake yet but one of my friends say it's the best they've ever had....

Sometimes you just have to stop here for lunch with the guys from work

Meh... not the best sliders I've had, but the onion rings are AMAZING

50's atmosphere, very reasonable prices and, among other things, the burgers are delicious and they come with grilled onions. They are also hot and juicy. BTW even the small fries are plentiful hot and tasty. I'll be back many times.

Legendary sliders on Woodward Avenue. Don't expect gourmet burgers or speedy service. Do expect greasy, fried food that will fill your belly with happiness.

Good... Amazing burgers, tater tots, and onion rings are perfection. You do pay for it a little the next day. I will still be back, worth it and well, I am working on adulting .

The food tasted phenomenal! It didn't seem like their order process was very systematic though so it took a little while to order and then get my food.

First time stopping in for lunch from work. Place was packed but they moved quickly. Amazing burgers I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great burger. You get what you pay for, it is in Birmingham so be prepared to shell out $3 a burger. But it is well worth it! I will be back, and thank you to the great staff there!

There are a lot of these little burger joints around lower Michigan but this one charges the most. The burgers are $3 for a single because it's the Woodward Dream Cruise and their price gouging us. Even normally they use to be 1.79 which is the most around. They claimed the price of beef went up but I don't think it doubled. Way to make an extra buck

The burgers are amazing, but the older woman working was rather rude. Good thing the food tastey!

Good sliders, good fries, good root beer float. A lil greasy, and the place is small but I'd definitely return.

We come-in from Newport Beach, CA every year for Dream Cruise. We never miss eating at Hunter House many times during our visit. Nothing like it out west or locally either. A++++

it's hunter house... a birmingham/detroit traditon... sliders made by high school kids in a small diner setting, Grease fans, eat your heart out and grease fans, it'll clog some of those arteries

The epitome of a greasy spoon. A true Birmingham institution. The place has been here for 150 years and always delivers everytime we stop in for a plate of sliders.

Taste like the burgers from my old neighborhood. I think they were called Carter's burger .

Smaller than white castle, overpriced, slop. I think my burger had about a teaspoon of beef.

The burgers were great. Pleasantly greasy and cheap, probably because they are on the small side. Good price relative to size though, it took three doubles to feed me. (I'm 6' 3" by the way) The atmosphere was nice, bustling with energy. That is probably due to the small eating area. Overall, very good burgers for a good price and a delightful atmosphere.

Anyone who knows me, knows I am a burgers lover. This place got it right!!!

Best sliders in the world. Hands down beats any slider joint in the area with a great vintage feeling.

Cheeseburger and a chocolate shake and when I was down was adinee I wanted another burger very rasty cheeseburger I could have eaten a whole nother one it's very very good very juicy really really really liked it been there twice now

Hunter House is the absolute best! Their customer service was spot on. Jim was so great when dealing with my large order for the office. I had to read each order to him individually and he was so pleasant about it!

Great food! I had two bacon cheeseburgers and split a large chili fries with a friend. The store itself is a bit small so if you want to eat in, don't come during peak hours or just be prepared to wait for someone to finish.

It is a great place to have lunch you can have a business meeting there

Thr young kids that run the restaurant are doing a great job and take pride in their work check your employee named Carson does a very outstanding job
